Darkest Hour honestly had the feel of this film. Set during times of war. Two awesome actors playing these leaders. Lewis as Lincoln. Oldman as Churchill. Darkest Hour really reminded me of this.
It was a great movie, even down to the slightest detail, like the wart on "Lincoln's" cheek, Mary Lincoln's coquettishness and young Tod's innocence and passion. Lewis was perfect for the role as were the others. I wish they'd included a scene where Lee & Grant met at Appomattox Courthouse; otherwise, 10 thumbs up for this outstanding film.
Another great thing about this movie: veteran character actors like John Hawkes (Robert Latham) and Jackie Earle Haley (Alexander Stephens) got the chance to show off their versatility.

Bit late to the party but it was excellent, direction, script, acting was off the chain. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Mr. Lewis as Lincoln is in my opinion one of the top 5 best acting performances in cinematic history.
i am bangladesi but i got goosebumps watching this trailer..... grand salute ...
Theres always that one scene in the final stages of a Daniel Day-lewis movie where he just WOWS us with his acting.
There is no doubt that this movie was amazing
Darkest Hour honestly had the feel of this film.
Set during times of war.
Two awesome actors playing these leaders.
Lewis as Lincoln.
Oldman as Churchill.
Darkest Hour really reminded me of this.
Democracy will always be the revolutions.
Straight cinematic masterpiece.
Another great thing about this movie: veteran character actors like John Hawkes (Robert Latham) and Jackie Earle Haley (Alexander Stephens) got the chance to show off their versatility.
This was a utterly amazing movie!
I got it at a goodwill new and sealed for a dollar
Kudos to Lewis for Recreating Lincoln's voice as Accurate as possible.
Lincoln was the best president America ever had.
TRUE!
Yes. He deserves to stand shoulder to shoulder with Washington.
His voice work is incredible.
"I suppose it's time to go though I would rather stay"
- Abraham Lincoln
What a good film.
Time to reflect on what he stood for
I like when Lincoln yells at people. It makes me happy 😭.
The first scene in this movie almost made me shed a tear.
None of us can even begin to imagine what that man went through for the thing that he believed in i.e. the right thing! He's the best leader in all of time by far!!
Dead children - And his wife was cray cray. He was amazing.
