  • Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings
A couple of pounds of chicken wings - the size isn’t important you will just have to judge hoe long to leave them in the oven if you have bigger wings. These were quite small.
At the chicken wings until they are really dry. This is the most important step
    2 TBSPS of baking powder
    ½ tsp salt
    ½ tsp pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large plastic bag or a big bowl. Add the chicken wings and mix to coat. Place the coated chicken wings on a wire rack over baking tray. You want the heat to come from all around. Place the chicken wings in the oven and cool for 35 to 40 minutes turning once. If you chicken wings are bigger you will need to add more time. The wings should be crispy and golden brown.
    Ranch Dressing Mix
In a container that you can leave the Mix in add:
    ½ cup powdered milk
    1 tsp dill weed
    2 TBPS of parsley
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp dehydrated onion
1 tsp salt or ½ tsp salt & ½ tsp celery salt
    Mix well for storage.
When you are ready to use mix 2 heaping TBPS of the mix with 1 cup of mayo and 1 cup of buttermilk or 1 cup of regular milk with 1 tsp of vinegar added to it. Once you have mixed it make sure you refrigerate it.

Colleen Palumbo . . . I just DISCOVERED YOU and I'm delighted with your videos for SEVERAL reasons: 1. I am guessing that we are of similar age and I enjoy seeing what you are doing in your "Silver Moments"; 2. I live in Northern Minnesota, USA and it's SO REFRESHING to see someone who also lives and thrives in the northern climate; 3. I enjoy hearing you speak of Holidays with family . . . much how our (my husband and I) lives are filled; 4. I thoroughly enjoy your "bread machine" recipes . . . SO MUCH MORE we can do with these wonderful machines; 5. Am continuing to watch all your cooking videos because they offer a variety as well as some of the "tried and true". 6. I ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING!!! Thank you so much, Colleen, as our world grows a bit smaller (due to health and age), it's wonderful to be able to relate to you . . . working in your beautiful northern kitchen and seeing REAL SNOW outside your window! Wishing you all the best. Marcia Cartie Hron, Brainerd, MN.

I like this recipe so much!!
I decided that I will make this recipe (including the ranch dip) for my next church pot luck. Recently I found 4 pkgs of wings on sale at the grocery store. I froze them until a bit before the proper Sunday, then will defrost and use your baking powder method of drying them out before baking them. Thank you for all of your tasty delicious recipes, many people eat better tasting food because of you taking the time & expense and how you make it kinda fun while we cook/bake with you while you do the same on your videos. I actually watch the videos 2 + times so we can cook together, it’s fun that way, like having a friend over for lunch.
    May God bless you richly.

Looks delicious, I have some in the freezer and wanted a more healthful way to cook them , not by frying or soaking them in butter and hot sauce, which is the trend now.
Thank you for showing us a more healthy way to eat ‘our wings’!🤗😋
