Why does it make me so stressed when you’re short on time but talking to us before drying your hair?? Haha I hate being late too
It's THE WORST! I'm normally that person that's at least 15 minutes early to everything, so running late makes me extra stressed lol
Fellow hairstylist here, I take my hair into 2 or 3 sections and just spray the entire thing down wait till it dries A few seconds and then I brush everything through so it's nice and soft but it still has that hairspray in it. then I proceed to curl. I don't just do every section and that way the hairspray isn't still wet and It's saves a bit of time when you take down a full section and spray it all at once. Also my curling iron is never crusted with hairspray or anything like that because it's completely dry and like I said my hair is brushed through. Hope the tips work for you. Love your videos.
Smart to do all your painting and renovations ahead of time, we moved in to our house 3 yr ago, we painted and got new carpet in right away and the rest was to be done... guess what 3 years later we are finally getting started with our basement... 3 years and 2 kids later lol

Hey Sam! I want to tell you something crazy I did 3 weeks ago: I purchased 3 bottles of hairsprays from Ulta worth $73. I had a gift card though. My mom doesn't understand my love for hair care products, unfortunately.

Hi Sam. I'm a stylist as well and LOVE Kenra hairspray! I know the 25 is a little strong so if you don't like all the fall out, try the 13 for using it while curling. It's lighter and wont be as sticky. :)
P.S. Great job on that balayage! She looked like she had so much hair! Lol It came out great!
Men TOTALLY take longer to get ready! I can get me and our 5 year old ready and we will be waiting by the door. Even if I warn him I want to leave at "__time" LOL hes said before "it only takes me 5 minutes to shower" and i'm like "Mhm. Sure dude." hahah Also, I really liked "Your Honor" as well. I didn't love the ending, though and wished there were more seasons cause it sounded like they weren't going to continue it but maybe they'll end up doing another season
Hahaha omg my bf swears he's so quick too. I'm like ... no, dude. And I totally agree, I felt like there needed to at least be another episode or two to wrap it all up. I did feel like the ending was pretty poetic though... head tilted up, choking on blood, just like in the first episode.
My husband literally waits until I am completely ready before he even starts 🙄 it drives me CRAZY!

It was pretty much essential for those of us with the big bangs in the 80’s/early 90’s to hairspray our hair before and after using the curling iron.

Lol he's actually really good about that kind of stuff, but I know if one of my coworkers are there coming or going (or one of their clients) they're careful to make sure he doesn't run out anyway. :)

Thank you so much! We just have to pay utilities, which is another reason I'm excited to move in (I'll get to save up for our own house one day!) It's only about 10 minutes from the salon, and I'm not sure the square footage, but it's probably about the same as my apartment now.

@@styledbysamvay dang late reply 😅 but my family owns a restaurant called Spankys. It’s kinda a sit down/ fast food restaurant. We sell everything there! Also there’s bearfoot Bernie’s, Rundown cafe, American Pie, Tale of the whale, dirty dicks and Sandbar and Grille! That’s just a couple that I know are really good. I’m not sure if you’re staying down in duck and Corolla or nags head area but those are all down in Nags head/kitty hawk area! I hope you enjoy it down here, it’s such a beautiful beach 😊💖

That color looks stunning! Do you have any tips for keeping clay lightener from drying too quickly during an open air balayage? I've tried using Paul Mitchell clay lightener, and I'm having trouble with it. Love you and your videos btw ❤🖤
Thank you! I always use balayage film to insulate each piece, and if you’re finding that it’s drying out in the bowl too quickly, try mixing less product at a time or just add a tiny bit more developer. I use the Paul Mitchell one too and I make the consistency a little bit more runny than recommended, and I find that stays moist while also gliding on more smoothly.

Why do you use the past simple form of verbs like to do, to come and to go instead of the past participle? For example "we had did" at 21:26. Is it a thing from your area or where you're from? Genuinely asking, I'm not a native English speaker and I'm always willing to learn something new

But wouldn't adding hairspray to the hair then applying heat to it end up burning the hair or cause the hair to have buildup of product? I don't know, i sometimes get scared applying any product on my hair before using heat thinking it could end up burning my hair and we sort of share the same hair type.
That’s what I was always afraid of, but I haven’t had any problems! Just make sure to really hold the bottle at a distance and only get a light mist of product on your hair.
Men take SO long to get ready and it drives me insane 😩😩😩

Hahaha I’ve been sitting back and silently watching it all unfold. I’m torn, because on one hand, I’ve been watching her for years and feel like I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for her. I also think some of these “commentary” channels are creepy bullies, and too obsessed with every little thing she does (like seriously imagine spending that much time creating videos just to make fun of someone and tear them apart for something as stupid as rubbing their nose in a vlog...) But on the other hand, I think some of the criticism is legitimate and I understand why a lot of people feel lied to. I’ve been feeling for at least a year or two now that majority of her content is sponsored and feels unauthentic at times, which has turned me off. But I also recognize that she’s a human being just sharing her life, and if I decide I don’t like her content anymore, I can just stop watching, period. I wish more people would realize the same. :/

Girl..... He doesn't take longer than you to get "ready." You never got "ready" no makeup on in the car, makeup on at salon and you never did your hair. Also, your shop needs 2021 updated BAD!
Wearing makeup under masks just makes me breakout and you can’t even see it anyway, so I see no point.
How did she not get ready? Because she didn’t do her makeup? She made coffee, got dressed, brushed her teeth etc. But I agree that the shop is a little outdated lol but it’s not that bad
