This business is very hard on the good singers and Ailyn was one more in a long list of tragedies in that regard. If only Tarja had been the only one, as it turned out she was merely the first major one. It is so good to see Ailyn going forward regardless as well as Anette Olzon whose new band The Dark Element is totally her style.
Well there were 3 other singers before Ailyn. I actually found sirenia through Monika Pedersen and I even won one of her paintings in a contest. Monika Pedersen was the singer before Ailyn. But Ailyn was the singer longer then anyone else currently. Emmanuel is killing it as the lead vocalist for sirenia though. I'm glad Ailyn is still doing music. Keep an eye out I heard she's working on solo music but she doesn't wanna rush it and is currently collabing
