Repentance of sin is a type of work that's done actively. Jonah 3:10. And God saw their WORKS; THAT THEY TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAY;
Titus 3:5-6 NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (REPENT OF SINS) which we have done, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US by the washing of the Holy Ghost; Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; That being JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE, we should be heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
ALSO we cannot turn from all our sins which means that we still have unrepented sins. That makes any churchgoers guilty when they think they need to repent of their sins to be saved from condemnation. That's why God's sacrifice 🙏, burial, and resurrection is the one & only narrow path to be saved. He did all the work. Humans just need to believe in His work on the calvary. Hallelujah!
Can you list where Jesus Christ says exactly these words, "repent of your sins to be saved?" Nowhere is it found in the Bible. If we need to repent of our sins to be saved, then Jesus didn't need to die for our sins.
Christian say "God created the world" not intending a man. If they manage to convince the person, they say that God is a man. Be honest and say that you believe that your god is a man.

I am an 11B veteran of the war in Vietnam-1969~70 and when I see these young virile men with whom death is very abstract and far away I remember how stunningly real and sudden death can be. Vietnam in my life is why I am a born-again believer today.
Your experience is different from theirs. I am sorry you endured what you did. But you don't know their experiences either. You don't know their views of death.

No but generally speaking the mindset a young people is that they have years to worry about that stuff. When you see a different view is when a younger family member dies or the family member of someone close to them. Either that or some type of traumatic event happens. If you recall the kid in the red shirt claimed to be a Christian but had sex before marriage. Although it’s possible that could have occurred before he became a Christian.

I think you completely miss the point. You don't know their experiences, just like the about poster. They could be well acquainted with death and loss, so don't just make assumptions. Ontop of that Ray still utilized fear tactics and lies. He perfomed a great disservice for these young men. Especially the inquisitive one.

@@coffeeandbytes9854When Satan takes our purity, we find it harder to turn away from evil (much evil feels good at first, but hurts if/when the other person rejects us and moves on to the next person; or you realize that this is not someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with - and then you have to hurt them so you can move on; sex complicates things). The commandments are for our own good and ultimately to protect us from pain that the sin or the consequences will bring. (I e. STDs) When a little kid gets a new toy, it's exciting at first, but eventually that excitement wears off and the toy is left and kid goes to get another toy. Sex is the same way (hard to believe, I know) so it's best if you have something more solid on which to base your relationship.

Pray for me I’m saved but I struggle with anxiety sometimes still I think I just need more brothers and sisters of god around me
Reading the Bible helps so much. It brings you so much peace. Every time you feel anxiety read God's word.
I struggle greatly with that too. Know that God can do such a work through you and your struggle. He'll teach you His grace so much more in your weakness and may He use the heart He blesses you with through that to make you a blessing to others as well. May He give you strength through confidence in His character. And may He bring you deeper into relationship with Him in prayer.
Pray with someone of your church, we need to be close to good Christians.
I struggle with my faith because I have been waiting for God to help me get accepted for a job. I have had to borrow from my family to pay my rent for the past two months, and it’s two weeks before I will need to pay it again, but I can’t keep asking them, they can’t afford it. I could end up homeless soon
Philippians 4:5-9 is some scriptures that I confess out loud whenever I begin to have any anxiety & it always works. I also put on worship music & force my flesh to praise God & I feel all fear leave. Give this a shot in faith & fear will flee.

I'm glad they talked with you. I thought Chinese were Buddhists and Indians were Hindus when I was in college. Then my roommates were Chinese and invited me to church. They were such strong Christians! This Caucasian was baptized in the Chinese church in 1990. I will be praying for those fellows and glad you spoke with them.

Arrogance is defined as having an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. It doesn't really apply here, does it.
They always say the same thing, "everyone does it", as if that makes it okay.
Exactly. That's like saying: "everyone is a murderer or a pedo so why can't I be one" when you clearly know that those things are awful and WRONG. Never compare yourself to others. You're your own person, and soul and you always have to compare yourself to the only One who's never sinned and gives salvation. Jesus Christ.
Please pray for my friend Wendel who is a freelance artist who is struggling with the sin of lust and wants to conquer it but is having difficulties due to demonic entities from the wrong people who are encouraging him to only sink further in his lustful sins and thus encouraging it on millions of people through his art work.
Tell your friend that it's time to stop blaming friends who are bad influences for his choice to sin against God and to start seeking God with all his heart. "you will find God when you seek Him with all your heart".

Problem with this is I think he already knows about seeking God with all his heart as he feels sorrowful for his sins and regularly laments them to the point of saying "I should be considered unworthy to speak His name"/ "I wish I could say "amen" and mean it, but sometimes I wonder if I'm really being honest with God, and the answer is always no.." even though he has made progress in stopping in drawing nude art he just can't bring himself stop drawing semi sexual art and likeing and reposting pornagraphic art thus encouraging others to like or continue drawing revealing and provocative art that may cause people to lust for those drawings. I've been trying to prepare myself in telling him how to stop lusting and to give his life to God, so whatever he does, he does only for the glory of God. Some ways I can tell him? And how can I convince him of the dangers of pornagraphy and the sexual objectification of the female sex including through fictional characters; what is the overall risk for himself and society if he willingly continues in such debauchery and sin both from a secular perspective and Godly one. One I'v been thinking to tell him is that drawing provocative art holds him back from his true potential of creating wholesome intriguing groundbreaking content.

The thing is, the world doesnt live in a social vacuum. There are many people in India preaching Gods word and paying the price dearly for it with each passing day.
But what about all those who never heard the Gospel or Christ? Both in the past and now?

Ive heard many many testimonies about non christians coming to Christ like that. They searched for God in their own religion and were very devout..and Jesus revealed himself to them. Even i really got to know God personally and not in theory when i was desperate and wanted to know Him. You know something, He also reveals himself just like that to people who never even asked for Him. Dont think that its always by humans speaking. We all have a conscience and ask ourselves questions. We know good and bad in our heart of hearts. Thats enough to make someone search for forgiveness from God, starting the conversation with Him
Even before Jesus came, people were saved by faith in God and His promise of a future Savior. From the very beginning, after Adam and Eve sinned, God promised a "seed" of the woman who would crush the serpent's head (Genesis 3:15), pointing to Jesus. Throughout history, those who trusted in God's promise of this Redeemer were saved by their faith. Even though they didn't know His name, they were looking forward to Jesus, who would one day come to defeat sin and death. So, from the Garden of Eden to Christ, salvation has always been through faith in God's plan for a Savior-Jesus
God reveals Himself to all people through general revelation-nature, conscience, and the moral order-so that everyone has enough knowledge of God to be accountable (Romans 1:20). However, all people are sinners by nature and deserve God's judgment, regardless of whether they have heard the gospel (Romans 3:23). Without faith in Christ, they remain in their sin and face eternal separation from God. Thus, even those who have not heard the gospel are still justly condemned due to their sinful nature and rejection of God's general revelation.

That tired, old line always cracks me up. No one can be forced to humbly, genuinely repent, and place their faith in Christ Jesus as their Savior & Lord. It is an act of the will, a personal decision.
this video reminded me of how all the prisoners in jail stayed (because of their change in heart) after listening to Paul and Silas praising and sharing the gospel, as well as how faith comes by hearing and hearing through the word. This video is also proof that God's word is still the same and works the same way still!
This had me in tears. I loved seeing how the two were listening and truly seemed to realize you cared. It broke my heart seeing the other two. Rejecting the truth and wisdom you were trying to share with them. ♥️
Ray doesn't care. At least not sincerely. He is a huckster and a salesman.
He has it rehearsed and formulated. But that's all it is. There is a reason he doesn't answer the intellectual and moves to the emotional. It's so he can manipulate you through fear. It's also because he can't engage on the intellectual. He misrepresents evolutionary biology, Cosmogony, Cosmology and basic philosophy.
Weep for the disservice he did for this young men and the many who have strayed from the faith because of his egregious anti-intellectualism and grifter tactics.

He hand waved away that young man's genuine concern. Evangelism shouldn't be an elevator pitch, its witnessing and meeting people where they're at.
Ray doesn't do that. He uses fear and manipulation. He has done a tremendous disservice to Christendom with his anti-intellectual tirades.
There is a reason he doesn't try to engage the intellect. Its because he can't, instead he uses basic fear manipulation to guilt people into it. Not because of the genuine love of Jesus or because following Him is the right thing to do. But for self-preservation and fear of Hell. I am a Christian, but if Ray's portrayal of God, especially in regards to that young man's genuine concern for those that haven't heard the gospel, then that is a God not worthy of worship. If they were made predestined for Hell.
The immaturity of kids. That boy is judging God and getting so offended because he can't understand your answer. He's so right in his own mind that he can't listen to reason. Again, the Bible rings true in that our hearts are deceiptfully wicked.

I get teary-eyed after every one of these videos. I guess I'm just a sucker for seeing a person confront their conscience.
What a tragedy. Everlasting life is a free gift. Some who have been raised by the world cannot see their own sinfulness clearly. I hope this video gets a lot of views so the Christians that know these gentlemen will reach out and make them reconsider their position.

At a point in my own life I had moved so far from God that i sounded a lot like the young man that wanted to argue. Thankfully I encountered people that planted seeds in me that by the grace and glory of God others watered and God allowed to grow. Forcing faith on someone can't and will not ever work, all we can do is share the gospel, even just the smallest seeds of truth and have faith some will grow.

The guy talking about India was distracted by his own ideas and he wasn't listening. His heart was hardened, I think, because he wasn't getting his questions answered and that just made him mad. His word won't return void.
You were still faithful to share the gospel with him. I saw his demeanor change with the In-N-Out gift cards!
We've seen great stories of people who were mad when you shared the gospel with them. Afterwards however, they went away and God worked in their hearts. Finally, they came back and told you later how he had changed their lives.

Great work Ray.! When one of the boys was talking about the little Indian boy he said, “scaring him into something that I believe in” talking about going to hell. Jesus often warned people of hell - Luke 16:19 The Parable of the rich man & Lazarus. 16:22-23- And it came to pass,that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes,being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

The two “straw men arguments” that I get are what about the kid born to another religion and how do we know the Bible can be trusted it’s written by man. And they will argue as that one young man and keep circling back to that those arguments. I love the way you answered. I’m going to use it next time! Oh my heart breaks for those young men. I’ve been in their shoes. It’s a path that leads to a great deal of pain for others and themselves. The two more arrogant boys are in huge trouble and they are clueless to the destruction that they are heading towards.
I’ve been in the shoes of the two young men who were listening and you could tell they know the truth but the draw of sin is so very powerful.
You, the sower, sowed the seed. Some fell on good ground, others fell on a rocky path, and still others fell into the weeds.
Only God can open the heart and grant repentance unto eternal life.
Let’s pray for these young men 🙏

It's difficult to reason with a teenager. They already know everything. I was once one of those, then I got older.
It's difficult to reason with anyone. But especially Ray Comfort when he doesn't utilize it at all.
I think the other two need further intervention and edifying. I believe that they like everyone can be shown the light. Some need a lot more intervention than others. May God's light guide them and awaken their minds. The Devil is always prowling to claim souls. God bless you all! Jesus is King!

To the ones that were questioning. It is perfectly ok to ask questions and seek truth. It sounds like you’re struggling with seeing that God is just and that some people might be ‘left out’ if they follow a different belief that they were raised with. The way I always look at those situations (like the child in India) is that, even though I can’t always know how a child in another country might hear the Gospel, what I CAN know is that the Bible is tells us God is both loving and just. Therefore we can trust that He will reach everyone in His own way. We don’t have to have absolutely every question/mystery solved before we come to him.
But YOU have heard the truth and YOU have access to the Bible. You will have no excuse before the Lord so please look on your sin with humility, repent (turn) from it, and trust in Christ’s work on the cross. Then, maybe you will be an instrument used by the Lord to reach the lost. ❤❤

Pretty much everybody I know who does not believe in God uses His name and His Son's name
The real truth is that they KNOW God is real but they have not had their mind renewed and they value being cool more or what ppl think of them or what society says.
It's only because it's a cultural thing. I agree with the premise that it's sinful to blaspheme God's name, but that doesn't mean you believe in him.

Thank you Ray for your simple obedient presentation of the best good news anyone can ever have the blessed privilege and opportunity to hear, our arrogant and conceited refusal to even listen just proves how truly blessed we really are. If you were presenting this gospel in North Korea or China or Indonesia or Saudi Arabia or Iran, then the response would be so very different and it would be filled with gratitude and interest and a certain level of humility because they would be able to acknowledge their own needs and moral depravity. We are only so conceited because of our incredible wealth which we can’t even comprehend or appreciate. Lord Jesus please have mercy on us and our incredible need of Your convicting power to reveal who we are to ourselves.

Thank you mr. Comfort, I love these videos. I must say I stumbled upon your work a few years ago, but thought it was weird that you were 'buying people over with gift cards and free gifts (books)'. I am actually ashamed to say this. Now I am subscribed to you everywhere, just got the evidence Bible and 7 other books (haven't read any yet) and I felt very convicted about roughly a month ago.
I'm half (orthodox) Aramaean and half (apostolic orthodox) Armenian, well....I shouldn't say I am, but I was RAISED as such. In my young adult days I'd go to church every Sunday and go to Bible study every Tuesday (with my aunt, who's pretty much the black sheep of the family) and somehow the devil saw the direction I was headed and stopped me. I know, not a good excuse, but I didn't recognize it then.
At one point I stopped going to the church all together, didn't read the Bible, stopped all that I was doing. (Was clearly lukewarm)
NOW though, I feel so convicted and realize I was only Christian by name and I'm trying SO HARD to change myself and yet...I feel unworthy!!
I DO understand the Gospel, as you always say, you can't 'EARN' a free gift. But on the other hand, there is also a verse that says faith without works is dead.
So...I am stuck in between. :( Eventhough I see the truth and declare Jesus Christ as my Savior, He died on the cross for my sins and got up on the third day, He is my Savior. WHY don't I feel what the born again Christians feel? I want to be on fire for Christ like they are, why do I still feel...unworthy?? KNOWING God found me and all of us worthy enough to sacrifice His only begotten Son for??? Any wisdom is welcome!
ps: I dropped the labels orthodox/apostolic orthodox a long time ago, as I believe denominations are only causing division. There is ONE Bible, ONE God, why can't we all unite and be ONE body in Christ??? To me denominations are all bad. Right now this also why I'm not going to 'our' church. I am looking for a church that is in line with Gods word 100%.

The Bible says if you seek God with all your heart, you will find Him. He will reveal Himself to you. I was in a place just like you thinking why don’t I feel the way the Christians do. I wasn’t sure if the Holy Spirit lived inside of me. I began seeking God. Writing down verses relating to that, praying, begging, and one day(this was years later…but I was still seeking) God poured out His Spirit on me and filled me with joy and peace. It’s been a journey of sanctification and a difficult one at that but I now never once doubt whether I have the Holy Spirit or not. I know He lives within me and is my comforter. Don’t give up, the way you get to know Jesus more is through His Word. It is a treasure and nothing you desire can compare to it.
You indicating that you have trouble reconciling between Ephesians 2:8-9 (saved by grace) and James 2:26 (Faith without works is dead).
Let me try and help you out, this will be long but hang in there, I stay on topic.
Anyway Think of a Christmas gift that comes wrapped in a box with your name on it as the recipient.
You obviously did nothing to earn the gift, it was given to you out of love. However in order to know what the gift truly is and to experience it, you have to first unwrap it
Unwrapping the gift is a work, it's an activity that must take place. Let's say it's something you really needed for your job and your spouse got it for you.
You can't just say, I appreciate the gift but I'm just going to leave it wrapped. It's silly right?
But honestly that's seemingly how some people present their view of the Gospel. Grace is a free gift, you can't do any works for it.They weaponize Ephesians 2 8:9 and must have to do some sort of mental gymnastics to reconcile what James says at the end of chapter two in his epistle.
You didn't earn the gift, but to make use of it, you have to do something. Unwrap it and take it out of the box.
Faith with works is alive, because you have put the gifts of God to use. The Holy Spirit dwells within you and it shows by how you live your life.
You study the world, donate to and or get involved with Christian ministries, etc.
When Paul says that we are saved by Grace and not by works, because it's a gift from God; he's talking about the unsaved.
People even though they may do good deeds cannot tip God's scales in their favor. One sin alone outweighs and any all good deeds. He doesn't saying that salvation comes by simply doing nothing. Again, you have to unwrap the gift and take it out of the box first.
@diadenK First, thank you for your reply. Second, thank you for the encouragement, because I was feeling "off" about the whole thing. Almost like I was stuck between what was (orthodox upbringing) and what could be (being saved and FEELING saved and on fire for Jesus!)

I guess, the way I felt was: I got a very expensive gift, (I know because I unpacked it), but I put it aside on my highest shelf, because I deemed myself unfit and unworthy to use it.

in the contrast of "who's listening" and who's not ... I am reminded of the 70 disciples (Luke 10) when Jesus directed what to do in that case ... "what if they don't listen?" ... He said "... dust your sandals" ... move on. Not out of disgust, but out of recognition for the value of the Gospel. "in that day it will be better to be Sodom than to be them." Hmm.
I think this was another way the Lord was telling us some CAN'T receive the Gospel and His miraculous gift of being reborn ... because they don't have a spirit to be reborn. Their existence is strictly to stop the spread of the Gospel. The Gen 6 nephilim .... existed before the Flood and again after. It's after. Few of those people were giants. There were more nephilim than 5.

It's not our job to convince anyone because we can't. Our job is to witness to them and tell them where to turn if they want salvation.

Thank You Lord Jesus for this opportunity for these young men who have been presented with the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power of God unto Salvation. Lord Jesus please have mercy on these very rich and blessed people in the most blessed nation on this earth.

Oh i love you Ray i wish i could just follow you around all day im such a bad sinner and fall into sin all the time im so weak. I try to hide my sin from people so that i dont make God look bad because they know that im a Christian. I am so ashamed and have become so quiet and hidden. I am so sinful even worse than a non beleiver and i am powerul to it all. I have poor memory and impulse control and i have always been this way. When i was young i was very often visited and tormented by spirits i would see them in my side vision in the day then they would torment me at night. It was terrifying until i called on the name of Jesus and not only did they leave and never come back but in that moment i went from terrified to at complete peace and contentment, this was the miracle that made me beleive at a young age. I have beleieved without a doubt ever since but i am so bad still.. i am so ashamed and would give anything to be different
I guess Ray would say you have to read the Bible everyday without fail. Try to read it devoutly, believing that it's the Word of God and with a wish to live as He would have you live.

We never know who God is giving eyes to see and ears to hear so we must tell all people and leave the rest to God bc Jesus said He knows who are His, those who God gave to Him. Thanks Ray for doing the work God created beforehand that you should walk in...God is amazing.
