I hope you all enjoy the video! :)
I did enjoy the video and learned a lot. My first Barbie was in 1963 when I was 7. I loved my Skipper and Ricky dolls and I was always saving my allowance hoping to find more clothes and shoes for them. Hugs❤
Rachel, Thank you for sharing Ashley's collection of Skipper Dolls🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖!! Both Christopher and Ashley are inspiring me to look into collecting Skipper Dolls💖💖💖💖💖!! As a Child, I had Barbie Dolls, Sindy Doll, and a Brooke Shields Doll, but I was lacking Skipper Dolls. I just LOVE that 1970 Living Skipper Doll with her rooted eye lashes, blue eyes, and blonde hair!!! Fluff, Skipper's friend's head mold reminds me of The Sunshine Dolls from the 1970s. However, I really LOVE the Pose N Play Skipper Doll with her beautiful blue eyes!! And I have a Friend who is a little older than I and she had the 1976 "Growing up Skipper" Doll, but I never heard of "Growing up Skipper" before my Friend would make jokes about her after her Daughter started playing with Barbie Dolls. My Friend would laugh at how she moved her Growing up Skipper Doll's arms and she grew breasts, LOL😁😁!! And the Boyfriend Scott had the most hilarious hair😁😁, but he was cute none the less🤗🤗. However, as far as the Boyfriend Dolls go, my favorite still stands at the 1970s face mold of Ken with blonde hair, which I always thought Ken😍😍 from that time period was so handsome😍😍!!! And , I really do LOVE the Skippers of the 90s with their crimped hair💖💖💖💖💖!! I so LOVE the 1989 Skipper with the long blonde hair💖💖💖💖💖!!! And I do LOVE the Courtney Dolls as well💖💖💖💖💖!!! And the Doll Niki is very beautiful too💖💖💖💖💖!!!! Thank you so much Rachel and Ashley for this very interesting, educational, and fun Skipper Collection🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Ashley is an incredible teacher!!
You and your Mom have ignited my interest in Skipper and Francie! I always enjoy your videos.
Wonderful!
Great job Kewpie! Love you and your moms doll collections and videos! So happy to see you and Rachel collaborating in the Virtual Doll Convention series! So much fun! Skipper has gone through a lot of changes over the years...I'm a Glamma born in 1961 so the very first Skipper you presented in the red striped bathing suit is the one I recall and think of as Skipper to this day :). I have a daughter born in the mid 80's so can also relate to your 90's line and still have a couple of those that you show in our collection. Now I have 2 grand daughters growing up with Barbie...I'll have to add some Skippers to their collections as well. Love love love your knowledge and sharing. Thanks again and see you on your next video.🥰
I found my Scott! And he is in excellent conditions! Thanks to you now he has a name and his own story! My Skippers are so happy to meet him again! I couldn't find any info about him in the books on Skipper and Barbie friends. Thank you!
You totally should do videos with Shelly and Colleen from: "A thousand splendid dolls". 💗
Thank you!!
@@RachelHoffmanDolls Greetings from Guatemala City.
I looove you channel!! All your videos are so OMG!!
I always learn english with you.
Thank you so much!! 💕
So fun to see your enthusiasm and enjoyment of your dolls. It was all new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the 90s dolls! Kevin! 😂
Wonderful Skipper dolls, I especially enjoyed the vintage ones, & friends.
My first Barbie doll came with her family, so my first Skipper was Western Skipper. Her face felt very 70s.
Years later was released my favorite childhood line, Barbie Californie (California dream).
Funny thing, as an adult collector I bought again Barbie and was looking for Skipper, that I didn't get back then.
While I remembered vividly the doll with her jumpsuit, American friends told me there was never such doll.
Mystery was unlocked when I got Mattel dealers catalogs and found out she was sold in Europe & Canada only.
I loved the late 80s, early 90s sweet wide eyes editions. Very sweet childlike look. Adorable.
Not a fan of the later grown up look. Too tall and way too close to Barbie (face).
Wish they would bring back the small Skipper, with a sweet head mold quite different from Barbie.
Ooh my! What an amazing collection of Skipper! My first "Barbie"doll was a living Skipper...and she is still with me! I truly love her and I extended my Skipper collection but not so extended as yours! Congrats!❤️
Thanks for sharing!!
Living Skipper is a fun doll. So cute! Thanks for watching!
This was great! During childhood I was a huge Barbie doll fan. I no longer collect Barbies, but I loved my Skipper doll. In my world, her boyfriend was Joey McIntyre. Lol! I had all the New Kid dolls. It was fascinating learning about all the molds and short term friends. Excellent collection and I learned so much! ❤
The Queen of all Skipper dolls
Wow you are very knowledgeable and have a fantastic collection of skippers and friends. Thank you
I always learn something in all yours videos. I knew Sipper of course and still prefer her as a little girl. the growing skipper and after when she grew up is not too appealing to me. I know so little about the guys though. thanks again . big hug from Spain
Wonder Skipper collection. I enjoyed this video very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it!
🙋♀️❤ very interesting! I grew up in the 60s, so it was fun to see the changes thru the decades.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I had Growing Up Skipper when I was around 5 years-old. I thought her face wasn't nearly as pretty as Barbie and the way she "grew" was kind of weird. She was definitely not one of my favourite dolls, but it would be nice if I still had her now. I remember the fabric of the clothes was so much thicker than current outfits. There are some other dolls in this video that were interesting to learn about like Ginger, Scott, and Nikki. I am also a Courtney fan, and now I am going to keep an eye out for some.
i enjoyed this very much! i didn’t know too much about skipper & friends & this was fun & interesting to learn 💚💚 tgif
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you! Glad it was entertaining!
Learning so much! I met you briefly at the Travel Doll presentation at NBDCC! Thanks, I’d never even heard of Scott!

Thank you for this video. Your Nikki thread led to ID my 2006 Nikki doll.
So cool!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
That is so cool you collect skipper dolls. On Rachel RUclips channel her Christopher showed some cute skipper dolls. Now I want to find them at garage sales, estate sales. eBay and mercari. Seems higher prices of skipper dolls on eBay, mercari and Facebook market place. I guess I will get them while on sales.
There’s a lot of them out there for great prices, now with this video, we can know who they are!
Thanks for watching!
Really good information. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
🌼Fabulous collection. !
Thank you!
I love your content but I have to speed the playback to 1.25x haha but THANK YOU! I got a bunch of my sister's dolls when she outgrew them and she had the Pet Skipper and Kevin and I couldn't figure out which Courtney she had! Internet photos weren't helping but as soon as I saw the earrings on the Pizza Hut Courtney I remembered. I thought she was the most beautiful doll I'd ever seen! I still have them at my parents' house and I'm dying to dig them up.
🙋♀️❤ just a cool vid! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Make sure to subscribe to Ashley’s RUclips Channel. She’s amazing!
Is there a current Skipper? I thought I saw one and was thinking I don't have a Skipper. I wanted one as a child in the 1960s and 70s. My first Barbie was Midge at maybe age 7 and then not until 10 my mom bought PJ. My mom was not a doll collector but she had one doll most of her life. I am and just started 3 years ago while my mom was very sick and I was caregiving for her. I have only a very few dolls more I want now but feel overwhelmed with all the various types of dolls I have. Got Midge again. Have Frida, and a couple Mackie but pretty sure I saw a Skipper. Maybe online? I had a neighbor teen girl maybe 4 years older who let me see her awesome collection and cars and can't remember what Barbie houses she had but she had many Barbie dolls and Kens and other Barbie's and friends I think. I just remember she had a plastic bin full of them.
Such a good question!!
Mattel is currently making Skipper dolls, but, in my opinion, they're not worth collecting all of them. Interestingly, I did notice Mattel has released an AA Skipper, which is a first for the new line.
@@Kewpie83 Thank you so much! The straight leg one with the striped outfit is the one I remember and always wanted. I'll check out the newer ones and see what they have. The last time I really thought about getting Skipper she was Barbie's size. I remember telling whoever I was with that Skipper was Barbie's younger sister and I didn't want a grown up one that looked like Barbie. I will probably watch video again and maybe order online.
If Skipper's boyfriend Scott had blond hair, he would look exactly the way my husband did in high school. Yep, I married him anyway!
Love that!!
Not able to paste his pic, here...pity. he would like to say hello 🤣
❤❤❤
Thanks so much for watching!
