I have been getting a lot of comments from you guys to make a video about my Controller Settings for ETS2. You can find the Key Bindings to my Xbox controller below. This works for both ETS2 and ATS.
📌My Key bindings for my Xbox Controller:
➡️RT/LT: Blinkers/Turn Signals
➡️LEFT ANALOG: Steering
➡️RIGHT ANALOG: Accelerate/Brake
➡️NAV KEYS LEFT/RIGHT: Look Left/Right
➡️NAV KEYS UP/DOWN: Shift UP/DOWN
➡️RB/LB: Retarder Increase/Decrease
➡️START: Engine Start/Stop
➡️Y: Light Modes
➡️X: High beam Headlights
➡️A: Interior Cam Forward
➡️B: Horn
📌The remaining Functions are mapped to my keyboard.

I use controller and this is my personal keybind :
Shoulder
Gas is R2/RT
Brake is L2/LT
Drive gear is R1/RB
Neutral is R1/RB (hold)
Reverse is dp.down+R1/RB
Wiper is L1/LB
Handbrake is L1/LB (hold)
Diff.lock is dp.down+L1/LB
Trailer coupling is dp.down+L1/LB (hold)
Dpad
Infotainment zoom is dp.up
Dashboard mode is dp.up (hold)
Cruise is dp.right
Route advisor nextpage is dp.right (hold)
Cruise resume is dp.left
Photo mode is dp.left (hold)
Modifier 1 is dp.down
Cruise + - is dp.down+dp.left/dp.right
Next/Prev song is dp.down+dp.left/dp.right (hold)
Face button
Flash is ∆/Y
H.Beam is dp.down+∆/Y
Hazard is dp.down+∆/Y (hold)
Engine brake is []/X
Left signal is dp.down+[]/X
Retarder decrease is dp.down+[]/X (hold)
Light mode is O/B
Beacon is O/B (hold)
Right signal is dp.down+O/B
Retarder increase is dp.down+O/B (hold)
Horn is X/A
Airhorn is dp.down X/A

Interior zoom is L3/Left stick

Would be cool if you could copy past your controls.sii for easy copy of controls ngl, going to set this up for myself, as it looks like it covers everything you could want on a controller.
also, what is flash? cannot find anything called flash in controls

Change the controller subtype under the controls setting to Gamepad
Ty!!! That stupid non-linear steering setting had me so confused and my truck was steering all kinds of stupid. Best to leave it at zero. And what is your turning radius set at? Mine is at 350 degrees and I'm not sure if that's right either? But it sure feels much better now. Cheers and happy trucking.
My steering sensitivity is set as 0.40

The right stick is not binding to acceleratipn and reverse
You have to go to Controls and change it there. I think its under Acceleation Axis or something

unless i missed something I can't see button for attach/detach trailer, or do you use keyboard for that?

Can you export steam setting for gamepad to ets?
Yh I think so. You will find that in the controls settings

I don't have any graphics mod activated. That's just a little color grading

u dont show what degrees you use 1800, 900 or 1440? on your controller what is the best one

I have the same controller. I can't get the right analogue to look left and right. It appears to be mapped but does not work. All it does is move the mouse left or right?
Check the control settings and map the analog to the look left or right control

Change the Controller Substype under the controls settings to Gamepad

Hey mate, can you please give me a rundown of your settings for your controller? In terms of using the right stick as a throttle. I am having issues with mine. Thanks
Go to Control Settings and assign the right analag stick to the Acceleration axis. Select the Acceleration axis under the control settings and push the right analog up to assing it to Accelerate. Then select the Brake Axis and push the right analog down to assign it to braking.
I am using Xbox controller, too, but acceleration and steering are happening with the same joystick; how can I change this?

That means the acceleration axis is mapped to the joystick, just for to the controls screen look for acceleration axis and click unassign

Hi mate. Can you use ps5 controller for steering and look around. And have your keyboard as your main console for changing things on the truck ?
If you can connect the controller to your pc then yes. You have to choose "Keyboard and Controller" in the control settings to be able to use both your keyboard and controller.
I have sony controller but unable to look Left/right with right Joystick - where ya bind keys ??

You have to choose your game controller at the controls settings. Where you can switch between your keyboard and controller

It goes slowly. The more you press it the more the acceleration

How about engine brake?
That’s all up to you. You can choose whatever button you want. I don’t use engine brake, I only use the retarder

Yh thee vibration should happen automatically. If it doesn't you can check the settings to find vibration settings. if you have an original xbox controller then it should happen automatically.
it vibrates only when i crash into something or when i go offroad

Yes. You can map it to any of the analogue controls in the Controls Settings

Hi there. I have a steering wheel, but since I can't leave it set up, I sometimes want to play but can't be bothered to get the wheel. I was thinking about using the controller for the times when I don't want to use the wheel.
Is there a way to configure the controller without messing with the steering wheel settings (sensitivity, keybinds, etc)?

Yh you can use the secondary key binding for you controller. For you not to mess with your steering sensitivity, select controller on the controller type.

What is CB PTT?
@@LonelyTrucker CB radio, Push To Talk button. I believe the standard assigment is the X key on the keyboard.

My controller has inputs that I can't customize or disable, such as the Y button being both the handbrake and the detach trailer button while I binded it as my shift up button. How do I fix this
You should be able to customize the controls. You mean you can't change the key in the settings?
in the settings it says that my Y button is only binded as the upshift button. I dont know why it pull the handbrake and detaches the trailer too@@LonelyTrucker

@@LightThingies I found the solution, so basically you gotta go into the gamefiles and find the steam controller settings. Then just delete them.

Why is not L3 button for horn and Button B for Handbreak 🥲
Preferably I use L3 for cruise control on/off and B for horn. It works well for me
