New socks! Sometimes it's the simple things that can make us happy. That tent has served you well over the last couple of years. I think you got your money's worth.

50 miles in 4 days is good if you didn't get hurt. 60 years ago, our backpacking tents were made of sail cloth by a sail maker. Look at River Country Products for an inexpensive tarp and a poncho. I bought the whole set up for my son when he was going to hike the AT. I really like their ponchos. I bought a bunch so that I could give some to friends. In the mean time, 3M waterproofing spray might make it waterproof for a while. Enjoy the views. Good Luck, Rick

Truckee is quite a touristy place. Have been there a few times . Lol. Donner Lake has fascinated me since I had to do a book report on The Donner party way way back in highschool. My sister lives in Reno . It's been a few years since I was there, exploring was always fun. . Hope the trail treats you well. Go get it❤️🇨🇦

I’m sure you are replacing a very expensive tent. Did you get sufficient use out of it? I’m assuming it’s been on the AT and through Spain.

That tent has over 4000 miles on it. AT, PCT, PCT again, Algonquin, Frontenac. Didn't use a tent on the Camino.
