I had my spacers on for a week..It was excruciatingly painful for me for the first 4-5 days.Braces didn’t hurt as much as the spacers. For me, spacers were more painful than braces.

Hi my friend and it depends on each specific patient treatment, some patients needs to start as soon as 6-7 years old and some patients need some minor cosmetic changes and can start between 14-16 years old, at 10 your face is still going through some dynamic changes so the best is to get some orthodontic records and see what type of treatment do you need!

Question, does the patient still wear retainers on upper? I’m currently wearing braces and wearing triangle or vertical pattern elastics, With chain on top and bottom. the doctor says I’m getting them removed next visit but during my treatment I’ve had two brackets break with a chain, which caused my bottom teeth to shift and have this slant. Doc says she don’t see it. I like the way the top looks right now but I want the bottom fixed. Is it possible that I just get a retainer for the top and the bottom straightened separately without my bite shifting?because In the beginning of my treatment I wore a carrier to fix my bite, my teeth were sitting directly on top of each-other, with cross bite tendency.
Mine is only one bottom tooth gap ,and from last to 3 tooth missing,but they are telling full teeth clip have to wear.I went many times.their process it's too slow.I lost money only .End of the day not possible to wear the clip.😢

They hurt a little bit but not as much as when you first get braces
