Yeah, you gotta be pretty delicate with them. I squished them more frequently when I got into this hobby about four years ago, but it still occasionally happens. Imagine handling something 100x smaller than an ant!
It's been so long! So happy to hear that you're coming back to making videos! I hope life has been going well for you and you've been making great strides! :D
Heres an idea although its pretty basic I would love to see what is in rain water. Straight from the clouds, I would be surprised to see anything at all.
I’m planning on a rain water episode actually!I’ll do it when we get a good rain storm, but I live in a desert, so it might be a while! There’s a lot of dirt particles in rain that get swept up by wind, and there’s studies that show bacteria are in that dirt. I don’t know about bigger stuff, so we’ll just have to see…
I work at a fish store and have helped many customers deal with these guys. Fascinating to see them up close and personal like this. Thanks!
Awe yisss microbes

Glad to see you back!
Have you tried any means of filtering your samples through a coffee filter or other gentle way of collecting them?
No, but I’ve been meaning to. Thanks for the reminder! I’ll give it a try next time
