I'm 70+ with a hanging belly due to emotional or over eating the sweet stuff! I am fit and run too, however you've convinced me to lift weights instead!!
As joe says stop eating for two. He should add instead “start exercising for two.” Lost 15 lbs this month by doing 25 sprints in morning, 25 at nite, each 100 yards, then walking back to where I start 100 yards away. With walk to park a block away, I figure total each day is 8,000 steps, and 3,500 strides. Rain or shine, and finally got to my high school weight of 185. On to the 170s, done 2,300 sprints so far and goal is 10,000 by first week November. Exercise sucks but never fails. Age 69. Great feeling.

Menopausal women have belly fat for the estrogen receptors. Estrogen is no longer being produced by the ovaries at the same rate. I’ve spent months giving up bread, crackers, chips, carbs. No budge. Women on HRT fair better. Hormones still have an influence
I’m 45, British, I’m now a little overweight. I don’t want abs, I just want to learn to eat right and not be ashamed when I see my naked body in the mirror. That’s my first goal 😁
Hormones still play a role - women’s estrogen shift from the ovaries to the abdomen. I’ve given up everything and anything for months with no effect. Women on HRT fair better
