- Do YOU hate all scooter riders? Do you think scooter riders should be banned from ALL skateparks?
Well pro-skateboarder Steven AKA Black Ninja AKA Ninjalifestyle the famous youtuber sure does.. What's going on guys it is your boy, Scooter Brad back with another highly requested video. Look, Steven if you're watching this don't get insanely butthurt ok dude you talk the BIGGEST amount of shit on extreme sports so take this one on the chin aight.
CakeMuscle Skateboards are almost IDENTICAL rip offs of classic cartoons and fictional games. Oh and did I mention one of said skateboards actually had to be removed from the internet due to legal complaint from toy store giant, Toys-R-Us. Stevens decisions to plagiarise intellectual property almost resulted him in getting a huge fine from police or even a possible prison sentence as well.
But we move on to something more concerning for the Scooter Community. Ninja Life Style has made over 30 videos purely on bagging scootering and that's just the ones I could be bothered counting, I'm sure there's PLENTY more in his 900+ uploaded videos. I feel like Black Ninja is obsessed with scooter riding like he secretly wants to be like us and "prance around" as he likes to call it.
But this is why I'm really making this video. 24 year old skateboarder Jordan was in a horrible accident involving a scooter kid, no helmet and just plainly poor luck. Jordan was skating at Cedar Skate Park in Texas where he unfortunately collided with a young boy causing him to hit his head and be rushed to hospital. He was then on life support for a good part of a month and then made a slow recovery, to this day he is still effected by what happened.
He and Ninja seem to think that the scooter rider is to blame for all of this? But is that REALLY all they're going to say about the matter? Just try to make it out as if all scooter riders are like that.. You wouldn't even class the little boy as a scooter rider. Because he's just a child. He doesn't know any better.

I, for one, am a skateboarder. I respect scooters and scooter riding in general. Wanna know something else? I currently have a Scooters R Gay Cake Muscle deck set up and I ride it everyday. I also watch NinjaLifestyle and personally love what he does. So why do I support such an anti-scooter movement even though I like scootering? Because it's all just a joke. And yeah, maybe the joke has been outdone and over exaggerated, but it's still all just a joke. It's understandable that it's offensive to many because scootering is a big part of people's lives, but really, in case you pro scooters haven't noticed, the whole scooter hate thing is mostly directed towards little kids on Razors that don't know what the fuck is going on at the skatepark most of the time. Not you guys.
Also, the whole incident with the article thing was the little kid's parent's fault. Skateparks are made for stunts and actual real riding. Not for parents to dump their fetuses on two wheels. Parents should know better than to put their kids and other people in that kind of danger.
And another thing; when Ninja is making fun of his "own kind" and clowning skaters for doing certain stuff, it's clear that he's also joking. And the guy in the clip getting mad at the scooter for being in the way has every right to be mad at the scooter instead of the skater. Why? Because the skateboarder was actually riding and doing stuff that skateparks are made for and the kid on the scooter was just obliviously standing right in the way, wasting space. Not paying attention to oncoming traffic.
And one other thing; I think that scooters need to fire back at skaters and make a "Fuck Skateboarding" scooter deck. I get that scooters are chill and respect skaters, which makes most of the scooter community better than most of the skateboard community, but in the end, it's all still just a joke. Some skaters won't take it lightly, but for some reason, I feel like it's something that scooters must do. So get the idea out to a scooter company so they can get it going, 'cause I think that'll be a scooter deck worth buying.

Exactly the little scooter doesn't have the adult mind set so he should not be at a skatepark full of adults who are actually trying to skate. I'm sorry but you've contradicted yourself quite a few times here, if the little wasn't paying attention and looking out than he shouldn't be at the park. I skate but I have like 20 friends that scoot and their hommies but little 10 year olds that don't know what there doing should just scoot at home.

The thing is though, at what age does one learn skatepark etiquette. I have seen people over 15 years old that come to the skatepark and do the same thing. All these kids need is for people like us at the skatepark to explain to them what kind of lines people take at the skatepark so they know where to watch out and when they can go. We don't need to keep them out of the park, just teach them how to be there.

Some people try to make logical arguments on points of view that contain very little logic. Why would he want a corporate sponsorship? That doesn't support core skateboarding. Despite what you said skateboarding is much harder, Ninja has done backflips, tailwhips, and backside 3s in a day on his channel. I can't argue with all your points because I don't totally disagree, but I don't think some of these points should have been brought up in this video.

I'm a skateboarder and I don't like anyone who gets in my way, regardless of what they're riding. I don't like most scooter kids because they're usually complete assholes who think they're all that. I think some of the shit scooter riders pull of is gnarly and 100% fucking awesome. I just don't like when I'm listening to music and cruising past a kid on a scooter and he tries to start shit with me because he has this preconceived notion that all skateboarders hate anyone who's ever touched a scooter.

Then the other skater, not him that got mad at the first kid *threw his hands down from the start and seen him coming seconds before he got in the way and actually hopped of the board mad as hell, but didn't say anything. Then later, as shown, right after ANOTHER MOFO GETS IN HIS WAY... hmm perhaps maybe he was short on temper even more and it just so happened to be a scooter that got in his way....
Or maybe not, because there is truth to being understanding of a skater who's axtually skating and there to skate, not to push around oblivious and dangerously not looking out. especially with how small they are, you'd think they'd really be on the lookout. My little ass as a kid knew to watch out or get hurt. If anything you're gonna get hurt worse so there's more reason to be vigilant...common sense. So it don't matter how much adults should look out which they absolutely better, but in the end, it's gonna fuck the kid up more chances are. ad for as the usually goes and averages. They aren't always bad like the one in the video spoken of.

I must say, I don't hate scooter riders. I just have a general negative attitude towards most of them, because of experiences I had with them. That doesn't mean that if you are a scooter rider there is no chance that I will get along with you. I have seen many scooter riders really being awesome at what they do and looking out when they go to skate parks or something, which I really respect. But I have seen way too many scooter riders (and by that I mean little children with no common sense, which is fine so far) that are just in a skatepark riding. Not trying any tricks not even a little jump just riding and getting in the way of people. This is not okay. I don't blame the riders themselves in this case, but their parents. They just take a little child to a skatepark with lots of people and expect everyone to look out for them and then get mad at people who were legitimately not seeing them. As I said, I only have this problem with little kids, teenagers and adults have the common sense to not get in anybody's way. I accidentally run into them, I feel bad. I don't think scooter riders should be banned from skateparks, many (like you and most people I have seen in your videos) have the right to be there. And I don't say stay away if you can't do jack, but I think you have to at least try to legitimately ride in a skatepark.

Guys let me just get this straight. Almost every skater that I know hates scooter riders the reason is because the scooter riders that make them hate all scooterers are the 6 year olds. If you get that same six year old and had him/she ride a skateboard they would still get in the way!!

I'm a skater that also used to scoot and honestly I don't understand people hating on other sports, it's all the same, they all have the same goals to have fun etc. Even skateboarders/bmxers get in the way. He's just a overgrown child. Skateboarding also went through the hate of scootering maybe even worse, from the 60s to like the 80s/90s skateboarding were classed as toys and for children, they still are in certain situations

The joke that is within skateboarding culture is not to talk shit about scooters. Its to make fun of and give out about those 6-11yr old scooters, often known as "scooter kids". These scooter kids usually have no skatepark etiquette, and tend to stand/sit on features that are meant for skating on. You can't deny that 90% of people who sit on ledges and snake at skateparks are very young scooters. They also usually can't do any tricks and take up way to much time just riding and doing 360 jumps and poorly executed tailwhips. They are a nuisance and inhibit and endanger skaters and BMXers. So now you know the REAL story about why we hate scooters, I hope you understand that we don't hate talented and skilled scooters who follow skatepark etiquette, just the scooter kids whose parents use the skatepark as a daycare.

I'm a skateboarder and I don't hate scooters. Each people got their own interests and things to do. I just don't understand the hate. Kids (skateboard, inline, scooter, BMX, etc) does block people's way and don't take turns on a skatepark. We as adults are responsible to teach them these unwritten rules.

the culture and mindset isnt "nigitiv" because scooting is easier (which is true btw), the reason why scooter kids get so much hate is simple, they get in the way too fucking much and cause alot of accidents because they cant control their stick horses on wheels. Its like if you know a guy whos really fucking annoying and steals peoples hats for fun, after a while when you see that douchebag you hold your hat with your other hand and slap him with the other.
And skateparks aren't just for pros. They are for everyone

The main reason I think skaters have a problem with scooters is because (at least in my personal experience and I think most others) tend to be younger, and as so they tend to give less shits about being in peoples way and putting other before themselves which I also don't think is their fault but well it is still there. Being that it seems like a majority of scooters are younger they get grouped in as all scooters being the young in the way kid that is making it hard for others to do tricks on a skateboard scooter whatever people are on at the skatepark. Bottom line it's wrong to group all scooters as those kids but I feel it should be acknowledged that it does give people a hard time when parents let their littler kids sit around at skateparks.

There's a fine line between plagiarism and parody law. Ever wonder how bands get away with using movie titles as their names? Or how they can straight up put actors/actresses on their merch with a twist and their own logo?

Brad you're probably not part of the problem. I came over here from ninjas channel and im a skater. The people who are the problem are the little ones. Their parents no where in sight, they don't hardly apologize. Many people at my local park have almost been injured by young scooter riders riding in front of them. A majority of them do this. And that's why scooters have a bad rap. I know two scooter riders who are actually pretty fun to watch and are talented. They never get in anyone's way and are really respected. My point is these younger scooter riders should bother you to because they are making your sport look bad. As for ninja he says what we're all thinking at an extremist level and most of his scooter videos are trolls. So yeah
I am a scooter rider, I am mostly older than the other scooter riders, they ALWAYS snake me. They don't even say sorry, they just run away. Younger scooter riders are very annoying when they snake
I don't care about adult scooters, toodlers and kids are annoying on boards/scooters pretty much anything. And I blame their parents for that.

heres my opinion, i respect scooterers but i do not think they should be allowed at skateparks, i personally have been hit in the shins several times by a scooter because the kids spin their scooter around right near me while they are standing in place,it bugs me how they wear skate shoes as well and there are scooter kids at my skatepark who wear thrasher shirts as well! this makes me mad and why has this hobby grown it is for little kids who dont have the talent to play sports or do something that doesnt require using handlebars, whats next trycicles at the skatepark, come on hop out of preschool and become a man!
I skate, but at some of the parks I go to, the people that ride scooters are actually pretty chill. It really comes down to the person. If you respect the other sports, then you'll get that respect back. It shouldn't come down to putting stuff on "hate mail" just to get views and what not.
skateboarding is harder tbh. but i seriously think its not fair for skaters to judge because of what they like. i skate ive been skating for like 8 years but i dont like how people hate on scooters for no reason.

the accident was absolutely the scooter riders fault. The kid was in the way and then the kid and his parents fled the park and refuse to come out to help the family of the injured skater, you seem to have conveniently left that part out though.
im sorta on your side here, im a skater tho i skated for over 13 years and i can say i dont like most of the scooterriders ive been around, if they are good and know everything about not standing in the way and wait to their turn i dont mind them at all and ive been amazed by some of you but the thing is atleast in sweden where im from it was like a bomb, one summer we had maximum 20-30 active riders in the park but then the scooter ( kids) not you guys that have a passion for what you do but the kids came and it is close to 100 people and parents leave their kids there thinking its a playground... that shit is dangerous and stupid, dont take offence if you are older and know how to act in a park
a guy that is staying with me said in front of me that when he sees other action sports do amazing tricks he is not as impressed as skateboarding tricks
It doesn't matter if he could see the entire skate park from the top of the ramp. The thing is that kids with no awareness of their surroundings will cut people off AFTER they have dropped in and gained a lot of speed when there is no opportunity to bail.
It wouldn't have been a problem if that scooter kid who snaked the skater stayed to see if he was okay, but he didn't. The parents took the kid away, and if his friends weren't there to call an ambulance, he might of died. They fled the scene, that seems kinda sketchy to me.

I skateboard but loads of my mates scooter and I really don't get why scooters are said to be so bad, like they are literally just a skateboard with handlebars. I have mad respect for scooter riders because of the tricks they can do. It just doesn't make sense why scooter riders are "gay" for doing something they love

Ninja wasn't the one doing the no comply he was filming the person doing it. The video with that no comply in was never released so all we know it could have been a "how to be a fuck boi" video and was doing a line for that when he got interrupted. He didn't get mad at the skater because they where coming up the ramp so couldn't see him where as the scooter rider was stood there the whole time and had ages to move
This kid at my local was riding around getting on everyone's way and I said to his mum that he was getting in the way and she said "stop being so harsh he is only young and he isn't getting in the way I have been watching him like a hawk" Then afterwards I see her looking the complete opposite way. Then she threatens to get her husband on me and my friends..
Dude I'm a skater and I totally agree but when your intro came on I pooped myself as it is my first time watching you . I have scooter friends and my brother rides a scooter as well.
I don't think it's just the little scooter kids, I think it's just any little kid in general. I ride scooters, skateboards, and sometimes BMX at my local, and I've seen a lot more skater kids snaking then scooter kids

I think it is rude to hate on the scooters because they ARE for designed for children, so basically you hate little kids. however it is semi justified because it is annoying as fuck when you are trying to get a trick off and everytime you get snaked by a little kid. but they are usually the ones that bring there roller blades, skateboard, scooter, and bike! I call em the multi taskers
I agree, skateboarding is cool, I don't just hate them because I ride scooters. But scooter riders have respect for other riders such as bmx, skateboarders, in-liners, etc. all I'm trying to say is that skateboarders need to learn to not get too in raged when a scooter rider gets in their way, because they don't care much when a skateboarder or bmx gets in their way. I just want all scooter hate to stop.... unfortunately it probably won't forever but for somepeople it will.

as much as i wanna agree with u brad i just think its all just an overused joke and will eventually die out. i think ninja is specifically speaking about the very litle kids (ages like 5-12) who are constantly in the way at skateparks. this little kids even snake professional scooter riders. at the end of the day ninja is just a youtuber doing his own thing. but hats off to you for a professional analysis.
