Lookers Thanks. My T6.1 has been built and is currently waiting on a wheelchair conversion so will be a few months away. I’ll let you know how I get on.
Furthermore, I do like the extra improved safety features, and VW should factor in all as standard LED front headlights, as this illuminates the road much better adding improved road safety. The normal headlight are hopeless in the dark especially in country lanes.

not really a t6.1 more of another facelift of a t5 more like a t5.3 still using the basic t5 shell and prob quite a lot of other parts

Overinflated and rigged prices on these vehicles. VW and their diluted, wannabe salespeople should be ashamed of themselves, taking advantage of the easily fooled. Intelligent potential buyers out there can see through all the hype. ‘What’s new’ more like ‘What’s the same’, as many of this guys lines said. Why would ABS ‘kick in’ in side winds? ABS only functions when the brake pedal is pressed. Only one thing is good about this van, and that’s the DSG, although a friend had a leak on his before the first 1000 miles - that was followed by leaking side windows and turbo problems before the first 5000. That’s a disgrace for a van costing (but nowhere near worth) £40k, but hey, some guys will pay anything to be ‘in the club’. Mugs club. Haha! As for the SOS, that’s old tech that other manufacturers have been running for over a decade. But this guy sells it like we’re meant to feel so blessed. What’s the T6.2 gonna bring? You guessed it, another cheap grille, lights and dashboard arrangement fiddle. Well worth the extra thousands? Goolies!
Still a t5 with modernized face and dashboard everything else is the same
Still they have to do somthing for the insolation the engine noisy and vibrate a lot espesialy when reversing in bit of hill
I have a t6 tdi 340 and had the t5 tdi 400 i felt the t5 was better, quiter and the suspension more comfort than the t6 whuch noisy you can hear every movment and tyres tumb transmited to the inside.
For the price over$ 40 000 should be more insulated like a suv it is ok for fleet but not for owner driver.
Why is that stupid thing on the roof needed. My £100 next base dash cam has the same feature and Elexa built in. There’s nothing amazing about it.

You can talk it up all day long, its still over priced, and tracked..!!?!
Let us opt out of the Adaptive Curse control, Assist Breaking, Connected Vehicle, (Don't want a big Brother Van spying on me), Crosswind Assist, Steeling Assist, Stop/Start Offer us a cheaper Van option with out these devices?.....This is the 1st VW Transporter i will NOT want to buy after driving and owning them for 25 years....

VW Assist Braking and more....But so hate the way that VW and others are going with Assisted Braking and Assist this as Assist that but does not Assist our pocket with apox £5K going on top of the prices with Online Connected Vehicles. Until you can opt out of these features when ordering new they have lost me as a 20 year VW customer to buy New again! keep with my older vehicle with out the junk. I want to drive not the VW Computer as VW have a law suite in the US against them on Assisted Braking. Which i have had problem that slams on the Brakes! with along with Stop/Start that won't re-start the vehicle and leaves you Dead in the Road!
A lot of these new technologies are brought in to justify peoples jobs and then, in time, you will see that many of these 'assists' will become mandatory due to EU law. You are right about stop start - My VW Up! died on the A420 in rush hour. Thankfully, when I told the AA I was in the live lane on a single carriageway A road with a mile of traffic stuck behind me they made my priority 1 and were on scene in 10 minutes.
@Peter Morris All these problems including the Van slamming the brakes put me off buying new again.
Why pay for Assisted items that go wrong and be charged extra for them.
Buy 2nd hand & pull the equipment off.
My insurance is fine with it as they see its a 4th Party involved in a accident the VW Computer.
Been hard sale for you if you had been hit from behind with VW computer stopping you restarting the Vehicle.
I don’t have this interference on my motor Bike with Braking & stopping the engine.
I don’t wang it on a car or van.
Its the race to have a car drive its self been manufactures .
Boring car..i got a 2016.. as a company car..looks just the same as the new one..boring.boring.boring.
