Can’t get enough of this show. I love the original so I didn’t think I would like this one, almost didn’t give it a shot. So glad I did. Max and Li, some of their scenes you can feel the chemistry exploding off them. Alex and Michael have this tortured angsty passion. It’s amazing.
Didn’t know if I’d like this since I loved the first one and after watching I have to say it’s not bad! There’s little Easter egg throwbacks to the first but it’s definitely its own show and I like their chemistry I also like that it’s an adult version since the fans are adults now as well
if your not tohether yet let me say that your look good couple together in the show and i also think your look good together and real life and the show is so hot sad cool i love it that was the best show I've ever watch in the last episode it hurts me i cry so bad oh my god
I think people need to realize that the 1999 version and 2019 version are storytelling the book in different ways. Essentially, the story is about 3 aliens and the people who they protect and love them in Roswell, NM but in different shows with the same character names.
I was an old school fan of the original run of the series, so for me this show had a very high bar of comparison. Before the premiere of the new run, I went back and binged the original series for perspective. So far the new show is okay. Not great. I'm not unhappy with how they've aged up the cast and tweaked the setting for our modern climate. It is rather annoying that they keep cramming SJW rhetoric into the script where it's rather jarring and detracts from the show. There's an organic way to work the issues into the story ... but apparently, these writers don't know how to do that. The last episode wasn't so bad about it, but the first two were THICK with it and it really left a bad impression. Hopefully, the back end of the season can make up for it. Another thing that has me worried is that most of the characters are completely unlikable. This is something I think might sink the whole show. Viewers want to root for someone, but everyone on the show is a miserable a-hole. At this point, the only person I'm rooting for is the dead girl ... but she's already been dead for a decade, so I'm pretty sure that's not going to work out. I'll be perfectly honest here, the way the first run of the show ended left it wide open to be picked up right now. The cast all still looks fantastic and there's been enough of a time gap that they could all have teenage kids of their own. This means if they just picked up the show as a continuation, they could maintain the theme of teenage aliens trying to keep their secret while attempting to fit in, but with the added bonus of now they have alien parents who are doing everything they can to protect their kids from government agents and fighting off that alien invasion that was left looming over them at the end of season 3. This would have been SO MUCH more interesting than what they came up with for this reboot.
I first started watching this/new version but decided to watch original so I could be more familiar what is show about and what is different between OG and Reboot version.It is still beginning of new show but original was toxic in the good way, I couldn't stop watching it, Max and Liz wow so much chemistry in the OG ,he was scared, confused, lost but so in love with Liz,you could almost feel it and she played her part so good,I also loved Michael and Maria ,his bad guy act with the big heart.I don't know, I like new version but I don't feel drawn to it ,I don't have that obsession that I can't stop watching like I watched original 3 seasons in 2 days, I like their are taking a shot and putting their own spin on the show ,and it is very different from the original version that my head hurts 🤯😂,but actually I would prefer the original cast picked where they left,I meant decade later or something like that.
