I am curious about the character changes and how them being grown ups will develop in a different story, without the teen angst, search for ones identity and sense of belonging and such. Those where key elements in the original. Let's just wait and see, who knows, it might be good (so far so good).
My only issue is with the colour treatment, the fps and the sound. It has a late 80's early 90's cheap, late night b-tvmovie feel. Almost like skinemax or a golan-globus "karate-cop" movie.
Staying positive, though.

I hate the political shit. Just stop! Stop already. I also hate that Micheal is gay. Not because I'm not against gay romances I get attached to them just as any other romance. I read the books as a kid. I was in love with the original show. I want Maria and Michael!
He's not gay, he's bisexual. Watch the latest episode, you'll get what you're looking for. Let the characters develop before you judge them.

This reboot is gunna be really bad, they should've just did a sequel series called "Beyond Roswell" or "After Roswell" or whatever but not a crappy reboot. There was so much they could do with continuing the series. Max & liz got married at the end of the original & they could be older with kids. They never really completed the story with the Skins in the orig so they could be back only there could be a kind of war between them & a new Skin baddy. Max had a kid with Tess that they adopted out who was "fully human" & they could've done something with him like when he became 16 or whatever ages his latent undetectable alien abilities start to manifest. They could bring Tess back even though she died her good clone didn't & the evil clones of the other 3 did die so the 4 could be all back together again running around slaying Skins. Isabel could go back to Roswell & reunite with her husband because she could've been pregant when they left, Micheal & Maria could also have kids & so there's the old generation from the orig series teaching the new generation about their powers & how to fight the skins & it could be a kind of batton pass from the old to the new. This is all just off the top of my head there was heaps they could have done in a sequel series that the old series left open for more story about, we never got to see there home planet & we know with there tech it doesn't take that long to get there & back because Tess went there end of season 1 & returned in season 2 which was a few months min so they could take us there for a few eps so we can see what they looked like as aliens & not hybrid alien/humans. Such a shame everyone is trying to reboot every good series instead of continuing the story & leaving the old series the way it was.

I watched the first ten minutes of the series. It was a train wreck. It was horrible. Keeping an eye on it It did not improve. They took wonderful characters and trashed them. Your fans never watched watched the original or watched it later.

there arealways politics in TV shows, the difference is you notice some of them and some of them you do not...

Bullshit. People only complain about politics in shows when it is the opposite of their own "politics." You cowards (who complain) don't have the balls to say it. Yet your the first ones to shove your beliefs down everyones throats, and cry when it happens to you. What really pisses you off is the logic in the politics that you hate. You hate admitting that you're wrong. That is why you don't like it.
I actually like the show but my ears bleed whenever Liz mispronounces Rosa. Mexican Spanish is THE EASIEST to mimic & one of the most common. MOST offensive is that she goes on about how she loves "representing Latinos" and "being an intelligent mouthpiece" while completely erasing her character's Mexicanness identity/accent. Spanish speakers know there are variations of the Spanish accent...it's rude, uninformed, and presumptuous to ignore a character's cultural identity and use one's personal accent as the standard.

I was a huge fan of the original Roswell. I found this show to be full of social politics instead of focusing on making a great show. I don't care if the characters have certain ideals as long as the focus is still on the story. But I found this show and many new shows to be focusing on political agendas vs the main story. I wish all movies, shows, and books would get back to focusing on the story. But I'm glad you like it and I don't mean to offend anyone that does. I was just stating my personal opinion.
