Somewhat different than doing my 400 Burgman. I relaced clutch assy with one from Malossi and replaced belt and habe Dr. Pulley sliders too. My goal was to reduce RPM's on interstate. Now at 80 mph around 6,000 rpm. Much better!
Better mpg would be an awesome benefit. I am planning a trip to the mountains from Baltimore to Western MD this weekend. Will see how it all works out.
hello....how about a step by step video from the beginning ? i have 07 yp400..belt has 23kmiles..slipping...Are there other videos of just the belt removal/replacement ? no rollers ,etc.
Gracias.
I change my belt at 20.000 klm and look like a new no big difference to the new, well I pay $220.00 CAN for the belt and $100.00 CAN for the mechanic I think like that old belt can last for a least 5000 to 8000 more klm
Hi Hello Tommy Davis I watched you video and I can say that you did a great job In the comments below your video I read that you placed on your variator Dr pulley of 14grams I would like to know if you changed the spring at the clutch? ( I did't see it on the video.) My scooter is not majesty but it is x max 400 2018, I think they have the same variator as at majesty ( I hope ), on my variator are rollers of 19 grams and dimension 25x15. My question is, if I replace the already existing rollers for 14 garments Dr Polley (or for the heavier rollers.), should I replace the spring on the clutch?
Thanks -- you didn't get the Sheave Holder tool from Yamaha to hold the sheave while you loosen the big nut??? Also do you have any tips on how to remove the "tupperware" (Plastic Body Parts) to get to the CVT without breaking anything???
@@limp1144 thanks, a lil explaining is I ordered new belt for 05 model, n don't know first thing on changing it, try n to get estimate on repair shop cost...thx again
dr pulley has arrived! how long did you end up using them? What is the mileage of your majesty? Thank you for your video, looking forward to get rid of those vibrations. I have 13.000 km on the bike (8100 miles)

Dude I can’t believe ya got away without bolting the drive pulley and clutch down and putting the cover on first…
How about the performance? Improve the top speed or acceleration?

I know it was 4 years ago but why make it so hard to change belt? xD
Just squeeze and twist while it's on. Sooooo much faster!

Yeah I changed mine in 20.000 and it was completely new..it can withstand many more kms and tuning
97 mph on the clock or verified?
Can you used aftermarket belt or only yamaha brand? Was thinking bando, gates or any other belt brand might be good
I would only use the oem Yamaha belts. They are the best and stuff will break if the belt blows up

Bojan Stankovic I would recommend dropping the weights 1gram. It is always a good idea to change the big spring also
to one gram less than my rollers, that would be 18 grams of Dr Polley? this is grammatical for rollers with my original spring my spring is yellow
Tommy Davis because if the rolls are weighty , the spring must be stronger
Bojan Stankovic yes your bike has the newer style 400 they use heavier rollers, I would try 1-2g lighter and see how they feel
thank you friends, I'll try with a lightweight roller - 1-2g And I'll tell you, how is with Dr. Pulley 17g
Bolt sizes dummy ?
Hi there, can you give me a link or what is the exact name of the rollers you installed, please?
Thank you.
I don't remember off the top of my head they were Dr pulley... Since this video I have ran stock rollers but the acceleration is as good
@@limp1144 so the acceleration from standstill was better with these instead of the oem ones?
If i go on my 2006 majesty 400 for 16gr it will be OK? I don't want much acceleration but i want high speed tour without a lot of rpm
Yes has a 100mph top speed
@@limp1144 perfect i will go for 25x15 16gr Dr pulley for my majesty 400 thank you

arechj it was easy just take your time and remove the front cvt air box... I will make more videos
How often do you need to replace the parts? TX
Every 12k miles
Hey what the cost of replacing belt on the majesty?
If you do the work your self around 100.00

HI, how many grams did you use? 14 or 15?did dr pulley help to get rid of the vibrations on the low speed? I have the same bike.Thank you
14grams fixed all the low end vibrations
Any side effects of using non oem rollers? Do they wear transmission sooner then the stock? Thank you!
Mark Filkerson nope very smooth and improved top speed also
Thank you, sir! :) will buy them now.
