I'm really enjoying this series & learning a lot. Thank you for your generosity. Love the outrageous eyelashes, for lack of a better word, on the crab :)
I was curious as to what they were so I googled "crab eyes" with Sumi-E and Chinese ink paintings etc and was really excited when I found one just like this one...it was another Artneko stamp someone had used to make faux sumi-E which I thought was cool. There was another one of this stamp with those things painted brown/red...but no closer knowing what they really are!
Thank you Lindsay!!! I have been waiting for colored pencils and watercolor pencils!!! It's been a while and I'm sooo happy!! You did a beautiful job-as always-and I'll be looking for more! Would've loved to see you color all, it wasn't overly long so it would've been fun to watch. All in all, a wonderful, beautiful tutorial and greatly appreciated!!! Thank you again!! Have a great vacation!
I bought 6 colorblocking scrapbook templates at a thrift store for .25 and wondered what I'd do with them since I don't scrapbook. Now I know! I don't have the same stamps you do, but I'm sure I can use what I have and find a similar theme. I'm going to try this tonight on a grocery bag, sip some wine, relax and have fun. Thank you for the inspiration!!
Wish we had brown paper grocery bags in the UK - they are clearly so useful! We only get plastic carrier bags and since Oct 2015 all large shop chains have to charge £0.05 per bag and donate the money to charity to reduce the number used - I'm still using the same as before tbh...! Brown Kraft packing paper is the nearest thing we have really - I use it to wrap Xmas gifts then stamp on it - may stamp and colour this year!
I like how you used different stamps to create a scene. I'm trying to do that with my stamps to get more use out of them. The card came out great and it's another way to create a unique card. I'm enjoying card making a lot and this one will fit right in. Thanks a lot.
hi Lindsay, I see you got the seaside coastal stamps out, what can I say you have a great talent for reminding me of my home as a young man, the stamps and finished product we're very creative with just a few colours. Beautiful and thanks for sharing. Regards Paul from London
Love it. I can't wait to try it. It looks beautiful. can you do a video on what pencils do you recommend?.. this look really nice I'm looking to get some color pencils but I want something that blends well and have lots of color. :)
Well done Lindsay....love to watch you work, or shall I say "play"! Oh, almost forgot, where did you get that beautiful cardstock from? Once again Lindsay, thanks for the education and your generosity girl!
Cool - a use for my Coloursoft pencils I got in my haul the other week :) Derwent [pron. DER-went rather than Der-WENT) make such versatile products. I have not done any colouring on Kraft before but love Julia Altemann's work on it.
