Right from the start my goal was to be able to perform it from memory with zero mistakes, so I started with carefully sight-reading the whole thing in an incredibly long 27 minutes (I still have the recording of that!) and then learning the various parts in ever more detail. I thought about you recently - about your understanding and appreciation of my "My Story" improvisation. Following your affirmation, I converted it to a score for you. I agree with you that it's rare now to get something novel that's so simple yet effective. I was very close to your home around a month ago. I think anyway. "My Story" has a special quality to it; I can't really put it into words, and perhaps that's for the best - music doesn't require 'deconstruction'. Your playing - slippery socks or not - is excellent and your ability to memorise enviable.

Nice music, I just wonder about the stockings and the underpants. Are they also a tribute to christmas?
