I'm glad you found this helpful.
@@stencilmepretty2713 it's really easy and awsome
Hey! Loved your technique, different than others I've seen, will be using this!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this look! I was searching for a simpler limewash look and I think this simple technique is perfect!
So cool and fun!
Great job! Your technique seems to be easy. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great idea and easy art . Thank you!!!
How do you only have 24 subscribers. YOU HAVE TALENT GIRL KEEP GOING ❤️
Awe, thanks so much. I appreciate the kind words.
This is perfect!! I was looking at a pretty wallpaper that had a water color type scenery but it was over $400+ 🤯 I really love the water color look and I wasn't sure if it was possible to do with just paint.. thanks to you, it's very possible and alot easier than I thought it would be!
Yaay, I'm glad this was helpful!
Please more water coloring videos! You'll definitely blow up. This looks beautiful btw! (Do more walls if you can 😆)
Thanks so much. Of course, I will plan on doing more water colors. Thanks.
WOW, this looks gorgeous and so dreamy! Exactly what I was hoping to find instructions about.. Thanks so much for the excellent tutorial! I do have a question, though~ In the closeups, I can see what looks like raised bubbles on the wall --- was that texture already on the wall before you painted, or is the texture a result of the faux-watercolor process? Thanks so much!!
Great observation and question. That texture was on the drywall already. Another layer of paint could have smoothened these out! I was a bit too excited to try this technique! I hope that's helpful.
@@stencilmepretty2713 Ah, great to know! Thanks a million for your reply, I really appreciate it ^_^ Can't wait to try this out!
I love it!
This looks so good! Did you use oil based paint? I’m wondering if I need a particular type of paint for it to work with the water spray.
LOVE IT!
Thanks so much
What was on the wall before you started? Was it primed? Previous paint?, if so was it flat?, semigloss?
Loooove it, was looking for some wallpapers but they are so expensive. Did you used a simple interior paint ?
thank you and yes! I recommend using a flat or eggshell finish.
We actually started this stencil business as a cheaper way to make walls look amazing without the need to pay up for wallpaper. You can check out our wall stencils here:stencilmepretty.com/collections/wall-paper-patterns
@@stencilmepretty2713 Perfect. This is really helpful, thanks!
239 subscribers onlyyy?!!! No. I’m sharing this video with every person I know cause whatttt!!
That is really sweet of you Shamim. Thanks.
I LOOOOVE your technique and how your wall turned out. I'm actually going to be doing something similar as a mural for my daughter's room. I was curious if you had tried this technique with multiple colors? I'm going for a sunset feel with some purple, varying blues, pink, orange and yellow and was curious if it might be better to work in stages with just one color at a time or if it would be better to do multiple colors at once while the paint is still wet for blending? It will be a learning experience for sure, but just wanted to see if you had any experience with multiple colors or if based on your experience with this wall, you think one way would be easier/better than the other. Thank you! 😊
I'm planning on doing something like that as well, what did you find worked best?
Do you have to use a spray bottle or can you use a damp cloth and dry cloth?
Can we use watercolour tubes paint please clear my doubt 😀 amazing vid . Nicely explained .
And keep going 😊
What paint would you recommend for this love this look btw ! x
Any water based paint should work just fine!
@@stencilmepretty2713 water colour tube paint can we use it ??????
@@sunilvc4282 We just used a water based wall paint from Home Depot/Lowe's!
What color paint did you use
What type of the paint do you use? Acrylic?
Do you think chalk paint can be used?
I would use a sponge instead of a rag it gets more moisture, but this is also another good technique
What shade of blue did you use exactly?
What kind of paint needs to be on the wall before i apply the water colour effect?
Hi Rewa, it's preferable if your wall is painted with water based paint (like acrylic), but watercolor will stick to oil based paint too, as long as it is dry.
@@stencilmepretty2713 thank you!
I love this! Does it matter what type of paint you use? I’m painting a Winnie the Pooh scene on a wall in my soon-to-be nieces room and think this technique will work perfect for the mural! Is acrylic paint okay?
Great question! Acrylic will certainly behave differently from water color, especially if you are applying paint in different layers. It does dry fast so that's good, but the effect on the background may look quite different (which may be a welcomed effect! just different). I definitely think acrylic is the way to go for the foreground (Winnie the Pooh in this case) since it can cover darker hues in the background better than water color. I hope this is helpful.
@@stencilmepretty2713 thank you for the quick reply. I decided to give it a go last night with acrylic and it is working fantastic! Thank you again for the video!
😍😍😍😍🤩🤩
Cute
What kind of paintbrush did you use?
What is the color name you used for the blue paint?
Hello...can we use normal water colours to paint walls?
You probably could but watercolors usually come in small quantity so I used a normal waterbased wall paint and watered it down which really gives the same feel as watercolor! Hope this helped
Don't care them who are doing bad comment . Learn more.I am beside you.
Do you think this would work on a textured wall with different complementary shades of color?
Yes! Definitely! That sounds like it would turn out beautifully
is it a special paint?
this is just latex wall paint! Any acrylic/ water based paint will do!
great
What is the name of the paint color you used?
