- I originally made this into just one video but it became too long so I had to split it into two parts. In part I, I will cover the overview of the projector and how to set it up. In part II, I will show you how to switch media source and show you what I did with the projector and some of my window projects.

I just bought this yesterday and its way better than what it looks in this video. It does work with google cast also tried it with xbox one, ps4 and switch. Works great for 60 bucks. I recommend added a sound bar for extra volume.

Yeah it was on clearance and they are $9 more than that at walmart. I personally don't buy electronics on clearance especially when I'm only saving a few dollars. Also I never buy anything electronics without a extended warranty. Ever heard of you get what you pay for? Oh and it's a RCA not a RC

I got my hands on this type of system and rn I’m trying to learn how to get it to work. Idk much of anything about technology and the wires and stuff involved. Which wire do I use to plug the projector in so it shoots the visuals? The power cord is in so it’s on but it isn’t shooting any visuals so there must be a wire I haven’t got plugged in and idk which 1 and where it goes. I managed to find how to plug in the surround sound system and it is working.

So basically everything that you’re saying here is in the manual I wish someone could help me find something on RUclips that is for someone who doesn’t even know what they have. I got this is a gift I don’t know what it is used for… How it can be used… Or or what a VGA is or a lots of other things you said… Before someone comes along and makes fun of me. I’m old my grandkids got this for me as a gift but I didn’t wanna be rude and say what is it what does it do etc. I’ve learned how to do so much on RUclips but finding the right video on RUclips for me is half the work.
When the movie preview is showing, I click ok and it doesn’t put a check mark on it. I’ve tried and tried to get a movie playlist going to play on loop and can’t get it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I got a vankyo v630w 1080p projector from Walmart for $269.30 this rca projector only cost $ 69.00 should have kept my money been having the 630w projector for two years never had a problem with it
I have an RCA RPJ129 I got about a year ago. Whenever I turn it on, it lights up & then turns right back off. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Had same issue, turns out its a built in safety feature on the transformer. If you have it on a power cord with other things plugged in, it might be drawing too much power and shorting/powering down to prevent damage/fire. Try running a separate extension cord for it or different outlets. That was my fix.
@@VILLNoise ive tried different outlets and it still does the same thing. I thought about getting a new ac adapter to see if that fixes the problem

with all due respect this lady dose not seam to know much about the RCA projector. iv have had mine for nearly 2 1/2 years 1 she nearly exploded hers as soon as she plugged it in, the picture is great as long as you have all the video sittings and focus tuned perfectly i have dogs and a house full of critters as well its durable i use it for gaming fornite as well as tv with ruku screen share with my phone and all my devices and yes it can get loud but not the best of sound

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
My remote won’t give me all the features to pair my Bluetooth and won’t play sound hbo max or other apps.....show video but it won’t play sound

Dorian Da Costa just turn on mobile hot spot and go to internet selection and youll see it trying to connect then download the netflix app onto your projector using the remote, other than that download the screen mirror on both your phone and projector and watch everything on your phone on the projector screen. Only Netflix is the only app on my phone that wont screen mirror onto the projector, RUclips and every else does, idk why? That why you must connect hot spot to download apps. When screen mirroring you have to have hot spot off and just use wifi, just navigate to downloaded screen mirror app open it then hit screen mirror button on phone and then you can use your phone pretty much as the remote to watch what you want, such as free movies online, youtube, fb etc. Then if you want to watch Netflix ho to the internet app on device turn on your mobile hot spot, it'll show your phone or network and once it shows connected your good to go.

I had this rca projector it's only 480p i gave it away and got a 1080p projector this projector isn't any good it doesn't get bright at all

I personally would return and exchange it for the ONN which seems to have bought them out befor your recipt expires. They look exactly the same except switched logos and now uses roku. My bulb burnt out just a few days after the 3 months 😯 went to exchange it and they wouldnt help me out cause its no longer in there system at Walmart, they said because they no longer sell the RCA wifi projector, its now ONN. Works better and louder i personally think cause i had to buy a new one so now the RCA is just collecting dust until i purchsse s new bulb :/ id exchange it quickly if you still can, there the same price, just to update and incade yours breaks as quickly as mine...50,000 hours of use they say more like 4 months and croke from my experience.

You would have to buy a hdmi converter for your phone
I bought one hdmi converter for use with my iPhone, however the sound won’t work whilst watching Apple TV. Yet it works as if I am mirroring the iPhone. Pandora music audio works fine, but not Apple TV.
Maybe using a chromecast?

Fan is loud, and my bulb burnt out in 3 months, you can see just a shadow and what should be on screen looking in but doesn't shoot out onto the screen, happened out of nowhere, besides that, loved it cause the wifi, you download apps like you would on your phone, can download movies into it and screen mirror whatever is on your phone. Tried taking it back to Walmart but was no longer in system because they now carry ONN brand using roku. They look exactly the same as if they just removed the RCA and replaced it with ONN, i was pretty upset. Im thinking its the bulb, any suggestions, i tried giving it a few day unplugged and resetting but nothing worked! Any suggestions?
Yes it's most likely the bulb. Judt replace it,it's pretty cheap. 3 months of use is pretty good to get out of a bulb
My macbook air will connect to the projector yet the projector will not show the image, i have tried everything (new cables, dongles, adaptors, settings) and it still doesn’t work. Anyone know how to fix this?
Try adjusting the settings on the mac to output the picture to the projector, or try output hdmi

Hit the flip button on the remote, it's next to the volume. You'll have to click it a few times until the picture flips back around.

Does it connect to WiFi
So so frustrating I have no sound coming out of this when I hook my DVD player up to it through HDMI the picture is there but no sound not even any sound coming from the projector itself I even tried to do audio out from the headphone jack into my Tailgater speaker still nothing then I use a USB and it doesn't show any of my movies no videos no matter what I put on there MPEG MP4 FLV
This projector is very finicky when it comes to formats. I can play most of my videos but a few will not play audio. I think it has something to do with the extension of the video file.
@@alicepearce4597 well after watching your tutorial video you are very helpful by showing how to arrow down from photo to movie you can't see it very clearly but you were very helpful that's why I couldn't find my movies on my flash drive it was stuck on photo so I went to movies and found all of them thank you

mines only shows a light but no image
File source not connected, maybe?
Alice Pearce file source? it's just showing light. it does not show a menu like yours
The unit has an indication light above the power button. When you first plug in, the light will turn green for a second then it will go back to red, the screen will stay dark. You press the power button, the light will turn green again then it will take a few seconds for the screen to light up. At this point you should see the red RCA image right in the center of the screen. If you don't see that, you have a defective unit. Best to take it back for a refund.

Is there a setting to cause a movie to loop? (keep playing movie over & over?)
I believe that's the default setting. The movie will continue to pay over and over until you turn it off.

Have you tried other file sources such as a memory card or connecting it to your computer? If there's no sound when connecting to other file sources then maybe something is wrong with the hardware. You may want to return or exchange it.

I highly doubt it but I don't know well enough to say no for sure.
Specific type but there is a specific device you can purchase specifically for that if you dont have the screen mirror option, that or download the screen play apps on both your phone and unit
Is it possible to project a PowerPoint presentation wirelessly from the computer to the projector? If so, how do I do it?
If there's a way I am not aware of that. Can the powerpoint presentation be loaded on a usb stick? In that case, you just plug the usb into the port to play the contents. If you need to pause/play the video you can use the projector remote for that purpose. Not sure it's a solution, just a thought.
Link the two to thd mobile hotspot on your phone or try screen mirror off your computer, thats the option on keyboard on how you wish to view on the monitor for exampl (2 screens, etc.) I think you can open it up if its on usb on through the projector as well, just plug it in and go to the folder app

it should show up. Try removing the drive then insert it again. If it still doesn't show up, something is wrong with the connection between the usb drive and the machine usb port, one of them could be faulty.
Can it be ceiling mounted is there option in the menu to flip screen and adjust keystone
According to the manual, there's a "fixed hanger hole" where you can use to ceiling mount the projector. The problem is, the hanger screw hole is very small, even too small to use with a standard tripod screw. I suppose if you can find a hanger with the right size screw it can be done but I haven't tried that. There's a flip screen button on the remote. The menu button is to adjust picture color, sound, & clock etc but no flip screen option . Regarding the keystone, you need to move it physically, not very convenient if you have the projector ceiling mounted.
I cant find a ceiling mount that fits. Has anyone had luck with that?

That sound....I'm guessing the fan for projector is super irritating. Does that go away or minimize when playing a video? When you played your video that fan sound was the only thing I could hear....sounds like white noise, freaking me out. This blows!!!
To be fair my camcorder was quite close to the projector so it sounded louder than it actually was. On the other hand I don't believe the fan noise will go away but once I began to play something I stopped paying attention to the white noise. Most people can tune out white noises rather quickly but I also know some people who are hypersensitive to it. it's something only you can decide.

But yes it does go down in time, i think thats the issue, it overheats quickly. My bulb burnt out in 3 months and couldn't exchange cause its no longer RCA its ONN brand at Walmart, they look exactly the same, as if they just switched logos plus you get a roku stick . Wasn't in system due to that so they wouldnt exchange. Had to buy the new ONN one which now has roku built in and its far more quit, louder in sound and stay cooler, exchange it quickly if you still can.

I appreciate your comment. I seen the same one, however, it requires to screw on 4 screws and the RCA projector does not have anywhere to add screws on it.
Charlie Garcia you only need to use two screws on it.. and on the bottom there are two spots for anchor points

I have the same projector, and I don't think there is a way to use a DVD. Hope that helps lol.

My projector will not load the photos. It shows that its empty even though I have my videos saved on the USB. I don't know why they won't show up :(
Try a different usb with different images? It could be the format of the image. Other than that, I don't know what else to suggest.
I've tried 3 different USBs and different formats. It still won't work :(
If the usb drive shows up it's not a hardware issue. I can't think of anything but format/settings issues. You can try playing around with different formats and settings or you can always send it back for a refund.
Polo try downloading another app on the projector, that may help

I suppose it depends on your soundbar. If you have the proper cable to connect the audio from the projector to it, I don't see why not. Or, if your soundbar has bluetooth you can buy a BT transmitter for the job. You can see me using a BT transmitter with my StarWars mini speaker in part II.

@@geefrmla Buy Google chrome cast or Amazon fire stick. Plug it in the USB cable port of the projector. And from the menu select the right HDMI it will guide you

You may want to ask X-Studio Production's (one of the people who commented in this video). This person claimed to have 2.5 years experience with this projector and that I was about to make my projector explode. If you ask X-Studio, he/she might have a perfect answer for ya.

Hello Claudio. I am home with the manual now. Please follow the steps listed below: Turn on the projector, go to the screen where you can see four icons: Photo, Music, Movie, and Text. Press the "menu" button on either your remote or the projector. You will see a screen that says "PICTURE" and on the right, a list of different settings to choose from. Press the left arrow until you see a different screen that says "OPTION". On the right side is a list of options, the top one should say "OSD Language English", highlight that option then click "OK". It should take you to a list of different languages. You can choose your language there. Hope this helps.
