I have HDMI out from my laptop to my projector, with an audio out/headphone jack the only audio out from the projector. I run a 3.5mm to my external speaker, and there's a loud "buzz" that's apparent when I turn the volume up to just 33% or so. Any idea how to get rid of the buzz? Sound and video do work fine except for the buzz.
@@superhomer Try running the 3.5mm from your laptop to the external speakers instead and see if the same buzz occurs. If not, your projector audio out likely has a poor signal to noise ratio and you may want to consider using the HDMI splitter option shown in this video, or simply continue to run the audio from your laptop instead
I have a firestick connected to the back of my projector and sending a Bluetooth signal to my Pioner VSX-LX503 receiver which has Bluetooth built in. They are both paired with each other, but the audio is off sync from the video do you know how I can fix this?
@@srigiri8651 There is most likely some kind of signal processing happening inside your receiver on the Bluetooth stage. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do about this as it is dependant on the hardware itself UNLESS you have an AV receiver with audio delay adjustment capabilities.
2M views Ok thank you! Would a hdmi cable be a better alternative? Or could I buy a Bluetooth receiver?
This video is an example of how all how-to video's should be. Very clear, complete with timestamps so you don't have to watch the whole video and very clear instructions. Thanks so much
And straight to the point. None of: "hEy yaLl, wElCoMe tO mY cHhaNeLl!" 😡
minus the annoying 20 second NON SKIPPABLE AD
@@ARedMotorcycle Not very straight the point when you have to watch a 20 second non skippable ad
Knowing about a topic rarely translates into knowing how to teach. This is one of the most well taught RUclips tutorials I’ve ever seen.Bravo & thanks!
Thanks for the kind words Abby! Much appreciated
In a world of complicated home theatre setup youtube videos yours was by far the most simple yet helpful...thanks a lot man
I've never seen a more well layed out instructional video than this, ever. Well done and thank you for the suggestions - probably going the BT route.
Thanks! That means a lot :)
antmon antmon idk if I even got an answer but damn. Props
Totally agree
Something that is not said is that with BT you can only have stereo sound, since (at the best of my knowledge) BT does not support Dolby 5.1
@@claudiopascarelli3159 im having this issue! i have been using a BT transmittor but it doesnt actually support my 5.1 surround sound. do you have any suggestions? i have an audio out port that i currently use to a BT transmittor but it only provides sound from my subwoofer and soundbar and not my satellite speakers
This is one of the most valuable video on the RUclips.
I’ve known of all these options existed at one point in my life but you’ve compiled them all for me and even made new combinations I’ve never thought of! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this!! Never knew the fire stick would do the trick!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I can not thank you enough, you're a lifesaver! This video helped me so much
Great video bro leaving a comment just for the RUclips algorithm... Very thorough great stuff hands down the best video I've seen as far as audio for the projector
Great and thorough content. Short and to the point and timestamps to boot. Thank you!
Thanks Lifestyle Lab! Very easy to follow all the options and the one that worked for me was option 2: Video-- from laptop to projector via HDMI. Audio: from my laptop to my Yamaha amp via bluetooth. No wires! Excellent help! 🙌👍👍
I wish all videos were laid out so clearly and the pictorial representation is perfect! Thank you so much!!
This is by far one of the best video that I've seen on RUclips, great job!
This is the best tutorial video I've ever seen. Clear & concise. Brilliant!
You life saver! I just got a 1080p projector but the audio output is rubbish! I was exploring the idea of an hdmi audio extractor to boost signal to my existing amp and bookshelf speakers with a long 3.5mm to RCA lead. I'm so glad I watched right until the end! Why? Because I have a fire TV stick and Bluetooth receiver forgetting that I can connect the two. 🤦🏾♂️ Money saved plus wireless Bluetooth connection with quality sound. Thank you!👊🏾💥
thank you thank you thank you. all of the options. i had one of them. didnt know it. thank you so much!
Thank you so much! This video gave me the help I needed to get the sound on! Great job!!! Thanks again!!!
Your video helped me get rid of the audio delay I was experiencing. I went with the Amazon Fire stick to JBL via bluetooth instead of the projector to JBL. Thank you!
Brilliant explanation. Had no idea Firestick could project to Bluetooth speaker but worked perfectly. Thanks for great video.
Wow this's so organized and well explained you got huge potential keep up the good work
Could you help me? I have the 3 to 1 connect (one out from projector three w,r,y connect to receiver), im only getting sound out of one speaker.
Informative and well-organized content. Appreciate it
Spectacular presentation !!
Very useful! For my budget media room I just purchased a sound bar on amazon that has Bluetooth. I plan to connect the fire stick to it. Didn’t know I could do that
Dude! You just answered all my questions in one sitting. Your option 4 is where I fall into. You ARE a god. THANKS.
Hell yeah! 👏
I thank you for making this video you save me some money.
Saved me a small fortune on leads thanks great review great sensible informative format
You are pure awesomeness. Thanks so much!
We are planning a Hamilton Party for July 3 and was nervous as it is streaming and any hiccup with Disney Plus or Verizon FiOS could really blow things up (too many variables outside of my control). I learned that D+ allows you to download movies but only to a device like an Android or iPhone. The challenge is how to project the movie from my iPhone but get the sound going through my soundbar and woofer. I had a thing that allowed me to connect my iPhone to an HDMI cable - but the audio was the big hangup. Your HDMI video/audio splitter did the trick - I tested it yesterday and it worked perfectly. I REALLY appreciate this video. Thank you!!!
Woohoo! Awesome!
Sounds like a great event
Ha, your post is 100% the issue I was facing even down to channel, provider and important party. I solved it just as you have, I got a lightning to HDMI adapter for my iPhone and an HDMI splitter to output audio to speaker and video to projector. All old school stuff but my wireless signal outside is spotty so I couldn't rely on streaming.
The time stamps are brilliant and so helpful. Why aren’t more people doing this? I know why but just saying. What a time saver.
I love your time stamps at intro!! Thank you!
Hell yeah! Thanks man!
Eres un crack con tu explicación.muchas gracias
I am really impressed with this video I even saved it so I can come back to it I just got a Pyle projector and I wasn't sure how to get sound but now I know I can just get a Bluetooth speaker thank you so much
great video. thanks for the help 👍
@2M Views: Thanks for this informative tutorial. I am very interested in option 4 B (i.e. wireless option via bluetooth). I am currently using a Nintendo Switch. How would the whole thing work together?
Great video! Very clear with great options.
Here's one more setup that I'm using: a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter. It basically serves the function of the amazon fire in your setup but runs from the audio out rather than the HDMI in on the projector.
I have an Epson 2150, which has a 3.5mm audio out port but doesn't have bluetooth (as an aside, WHY don't projectors have the most recent version of bluetooth built in? The latency issues have been largely resolved!). Most soundbars these days that are sold with the intent to have them used with TVs also have a built-in bluetooth receiver. So I connect a bluetooth transmitter to audio out 3.5mm on the projector, and then pair it with the bluetooth on my vizio soundbar.
The bluetooth transmitter could also (in theory) be used with an hdmi splitter if you have your video device (e.g. laptop; DVD player; console; roku...) at the back of the room near the projector where you can connect the video from the device through the hdmi splitter to the projector, but the audio through the hdmi splitter to a BT transmitter to the BT soundbar.
Now you're thinking! That's another great option
Hmm - Jeff Tanner - are there small BT transmitters that could be located in the ceiling with the projector? I'm re-doing a basement and would rather just do the BT out to speakers instead of hard wiring everything. Doing it all myself rather than paying a company $$$. (My room is about 16x18 with the screen to be on the 18' wall. (120" or bigger)
i love the organization & visual guide, thanks so much
I have the same setup as my projector is in the back of room while my speaker is in the front. I have a Epson 3800 output Bluetooth audio to my Vizio sound bar. However I found a audio delay in this setup. Any idea how to sync the audio?
Thank you for this! I just bought a projector for my room to save space and needed a better way to listen to my movies besides using the sound from the projector :) will definitely be purchasing a fire stick and a brand new ue boom once Black Friday rolls around! Chromecast and projector speakers for now..
Great video for folks who have those scenarios. I’m hoping you can help in my situation. I’m wanting to use an Epson Projector to watch Blu-ray’s or watch football games outside. I also have the latest gen Sonos Arc, Sub and Play 1’s and a Yahama receiver with an HDMI/ARC and Digital Output. Inside the house, this is no problem going directly into the TV HDMI/ARC (although I would like to integrate the Sonos system with m existing Surround system somehow), however, how can this work with the projector’s single HDMI port? Could you respond describing the exact connections? I’m clear on the usual connects to the AVR receiver..How can I go from the AVR HDMI Out AND from the Sonos Arc for audio into the Epson Projector? I’d sincerely appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks
man I do not do well with connecting stuff like this, super well organized video. thanks for you video
This is the BEST concise tutorial! Thank you SO much!
Awesome video! I'm going to try the same setup you're using. Thanks!
Great video man. Directly to the point and informative. Wish I had you on speed dial! Good day
Thanks! Much appreciated
OMG I didn't even think about my fire stick able to connect to other Bluetooth devices. This solves the problem I had for months!! Thank youuuuuuuuuu
doesnt that have audio lag
@@thatsreallyamoon no
@@tqnguy88 ok so you just directly go onto fire stick settings and connect the Bluetooth speaker there? Or do you do it through the projector's Bluetooth?
@@thatsreallyamoon exactly. connect bluetooth with fiestick settings
make sure you have the new firestick model or the 4k model
What a great video ! Thank you !!
Thank you for the video!!!
Thank you!
Great video, this helped me a lot
Thanks for this video I watched the 1.26 part of the vid for a few seconds and finally figured out what I needed to make my projector have surround sound! Very helpful and easy!
Great video man great instructions
Thanks buddy you saved me , and it's a really valuable information...thank you very much....
For the last method instead of a fire stick can i replace it with my phone?
I have never seen such an easy backup doityourself video before cherrs bro and thx a lot :)
This video is very informative thank you. So I have a projector that is wifi & bluetooth capable. I currently have my firestick connected to it via hdmi & mini BT soundbar which greatly improves the sound quality. However i want more of a sound sound. Any suggestion as to how to afforadable accomplish this wireless? Im thinking to connect a set of TWS capable BT speakers (im considering purchasing) to each other than BT them to my soundbar and BT soundbar to projector however I'm not sure that's possible.
Thank you bud. 3 year old video saved me some money. I did not know I could do this with my firestick.
Thanks very helpful
Thanks big dawg
Amazing video. Subbed. Thank you for the proper help
This is so informative!! I am doing option B and I do have a Bluetooth speaker, I also have wireless microphones I want to use simultaneously because I want to have karaoke, what can I do to connect the Bluetooth speaker and the microphones
Hi! Just one question, how do you power your amazon fire stick if it is connected to the proyector?? Thanks!!
The power cord must also be plugged in. It has a longer power cord than most projectors so shouldn't be an issue if you go to the same outlet :)
PRETTY IMPRESIVELY GOOD VIDEO BRO JICE KEEP IT UP
This is awesome 😎 thanks man
Great video, to the point! 👍👏👏👏
Good video man! Really good
Wow! Most helpful video I’ve ever watched on RUclips!! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I am using aux to aux on my projector but the projector still play its audio along side with the speaker. Any idea?
You literally just saved me so much time and money omg. Thank you for this video 😭
Hi M. How would I be able to cast an epson VS230 to a Sonos beam with least amount of wires?
Hooked the bluetooth to my surround sound , paired it but no audio. Any advice? I bought the esinkin audio receiver and the x2 RCA cord .
By far the best video of a set up of electronics
fantastic
Hello. I would love to ask what you would do as I am still confused as to what I should choose. I am projecting digital animations for Halloween from my laptop through the projector. I have a blue tooth speaker and just need the speaker to connect to play the audio portion. I don't know what I need to get to have them connect. Thanks in advance if you have time to give any feedback.
Hi, thanks for the video... do you know how to remove the delay between my video beam and my sound bar which are connected using Bluetooth thanks to an HDMI Audio Splitter and Aux to Bluetooth adapter?
I have a projector with AV output and the speakers have coaxial and optical ports. How do I connect?
Okay I need help. I use chrome cast for my projector and the audio works on Netflix and hulu but not Google movies or RUclips.
Very useful information!
Best video and very clear
This saved my butt. Thank you.
Amazing job at explaining it all so simply ! Great work lad
Much appreciated!
can you split video to chromecast connected to the projector and audio to chromecast-audio connected to your receiver? so no weirs at all.
This would be so good - and all with Wi-Fi not Bluetooth. As far as I can tell it's not (yet) possible though.
Hi, do you get lips out of sync with Bluetooth method? I'm using a Chromecast with bt soundbar and there's audio/video delays.
Sensational. Additional ways: x2 Costco tower speakers with x2 10-20ft AUX cables and a Y port AUX adapter (one male, two female receiving ends). Plug into the AUX port of your projector and run the cables to the tower speakers. These tower speakers are the current model that theyre showcasing for music, but that means theyll handle bass in movies well. Also, when i clean the house, im a big music lover, but i enjoy using the projector to watch music videos, which gives me a double-whammie. I get crisp great sound. For video, i either cast to the projector OR plug in an HDMI adapter w/ an iPhone HDMI lighting cable.
Should i buy the standard Amazon fire stick or the 4k model to hook up to the projector?
I use an HDMI splitter, and it's definitely the way to go
Hi Dude i have recently bought Benq tk850 I have some 4K HDR movies on my usb drive , but audio is not supported so it only shows video. I don’t have 4K blue ray player or any gaming console. I have firestick 4K that works fine with Bluetooth as you said. But for usb stored files I am not able to hear it. My projector has HDMI ARC port, so if I connect it to sound bar with HDMI ARC port, will it play that audio? Thanks in advanced
This video help me so much, THANKS👍🙃
Sir I have a sony AV receiver..at first I connect my desktop to Av receiver via hdmi cable..and then connect a projector with Av receiver via another hdmi cable on AV receiver 's hdmi out port ..but computer always detect stereo sound out put rather than 5.1..what should I do..pls suggest.
I am using firestick and connected to home theatre over Bluetooth. But there is audio lag wrt picture. any solutions?
good presentation
thanks for the vid
Do you get any audio delay with that amazon stick to bluetooth receiver set up?
Nope! It's just as good as streaming bluetooth from a laptop, no noticable audio sync issues. I actually have a video that tests this on my channel: ruclips.net/video/68dUUHu39ek/видео.html
Hi
I have sonance Sonos outdoor speakers with sonos amp.. I want to connect a projector (have not bought it) to the amp so I can hear the audio through those sonance speakers.
How can I do this?
Im able to connect a HDMI cable cos the amp sits behind the wall where the speakers are installed.
How does the apple airplay work?
What projector is Sonos amp friendly ?
U don't have to answer all the questions if not able to.
I just need to start somewhere.
Thanks ahead for the reply
My AVR is not splitting the audio and both audio video is coming through my projector currently even though I have the firestick and speakers connected to my AVR. Plz advise.
I have an Epson EX 9240 and proreck stand Bluetooth speakers.
Using a fire stick, I got the speakers connected but the sound pops and is not clear. Is there a way to make it clearer? I need hhheeelllppp
Problem im having is my audio out is a 3.5mm headphone jack and my hook ups for my sound bar are usb or the fiber optical input..how would one connect that mess?
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
I have a Bluetooth transmitter as well, but it causes an audio lag which makes lips fail to sync to words. Any advice?
David James Get a BT transmitter with AptX latency technology, it gets rid of the lag
Help
I have a JVC DLA-RS2 and a Chromecast.
How do I get sound?
