I’m not really one for posting but I just wanted to drop in here and say what a great all round experience I had at your counter in Selfridges today. The artist who helped me choose your seamless skin enhancing tint was lovely. She got the PERFECT shade for my skin (usually impossible on my extremely fair but very yellow complexion), it’s totally invisible, me but better. I don’t know what sorcery is in that formulation but it didn’t immediately sink into my foundation gutters i.e. my smile lines and chin crease and it dried down beautifully without the need for any powder which is perfect as I hate powder. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name as I’d like to give her a proper shout out but she was the same age as me (in our prime shall we say) so someone who I could totally relate to and wasn’t remotely intimidating and that place can be very intimidating!
It’s a truly lovely product and I can honestly say it’s the only thing I’ve ever tried that didn’t sit in my lines, it was still looking perfect when I took off my makeup this evening, thank you ❤️

Hi I’m 74 and saw your video on applying foundation and using a clean brush to blend at the end. This has definitely been a game changer for me. I like a foundation to be reasonably natural looking but which still disguises my flaws without looking overdone. Using a clean brush to blend made such a difference to the end result. I guess I’m fortunate, I have full brows and natural freckles! I remember when I first started wearing makeup, it was recommended to use a base color halfway between my skin and freckle color to “minimize” them! Makeup trends come and go but I find ones that suit me, I keep them. I blend a red shade into my bronzer to make it look a bit flushed by the sun look.
I’ve been using this blush technique for a few years now.
I learned it from Asian makeup artists. It’s especially helpful for mature faces, because it helps add back that “healthy flush” most of us lose as we age.

I find a light touch with cream blush, instead powder is the most forgiving, on my skin anyway.
Sometimes I even mix it with my moisturizer, before applying.
That is the perfect lipstick shade for both natural rose lips and cheeks and I loooove the idea of using lipstick as blush! My aunt taught me that technique when I was I kid!

Both my Grandmothers used their lipstick as blush. One of them also had a bronze thin pot that was about the size of a quarter and had a mini puff in it. I think she hit pan on it, but still used the little puff and it had a hinged lid on it so it kept the puff clean.

I struggle with blush placement since I’m around 35, with a quite angular face. Blush on the sides of my face makes it look even sharper and harder. I never took the time to test other ways to apply… and I saw THIS !! This makes me look so fresh and it’s so natural !! THANK YOU ♥️

It's interesting to me that Lisa works the makeup brush so much. It doesn't seem to stop moving. I think I'd better try it. I've been lazy, just dappling once or twice. ❤

I picked up this dabbing technique from watching Lisa’s tutorials. It’s now ingrained in what I do.
My face is not wide ennough and I use this trick with the blush and the bronzer ( horizontal rather than slanted) to make it look wider. Just love it.

I've been doing this blush technique for years now as I'm pretty minimalist with my makeup and love me a good lip/eye/cheek with the same product, just different blending to give it that soft and natural effect! the shadow with the bronze though ... I love how that subtle shift totally changes the effect!

I can’t wait to try this technique! I recently purchased a few of the cream blushes from Danessa Myrick. I am intimidated by the color saturation of one particular shade, and don’t want the fake line of demarcation. I love how natural this looks! I’ve began to use cream blushes, even though my skin is oily, because my skin is also aging - and I find that cream doesn’t show as much texture on my skin. I look forward to when the Lisa Eldridge Enlivening Blushes return to stock.

Neat. This is kind of how I already do my blush, which is a lot like the Japanese "sick/drunk flush" look that was around a few years back. Fingers also work great for blending the blush out.

Such a useful tip (again)! I have many lipsticks that are way to strong for me to wear often (also two from your collection) just like you mentioned. Enchantment is such a beautiful and versatile shade! I use it also w crystal nebula higher on the cheeks but will try this blush placement. I’ve never been able to make faux freckles work but instead emphasize existing small beauty marks/freckles that are somewhat central on the cheeks to make the face appear shorter and skin look fresh, does wonders for me.

That’s how my grandmother taught me to do blush in the 1980s. She maintained that nobody needed to buy blush, just Revlon lipstick. It must be a technique from the 40s or before.

Oh I’m so grateful. Lately the thinking was to apply on sides of cheeks but not forward. It was said it’s better for the mature. Not on me, just didn’t work but I persevered thinking I should adjust and change for an updated look. No way. My cheeks are full and firm at the front on my face. Thank you. I’m going back to my natural cheeks. Whew.

I've applied my blush in this shape for years. I often observed the natural flush of people without makeup-children, athletes in the middle of exertion-and started trying to replicate their flushes on my own face. Sometimes low and splotchy on the cheek, sometimes up high near the eyes... This placement, with the blush like a barely-there wavy stripe crossing my nose to my upper cheeks, seemed the most flattering.
I did my blush this way today. Loved it. Plus Lisa I am absolutely loving your mascara. It’s sooooooo good. I’ve used it for a few weeks now!! Makes my lashes look amazing and it doesn’t transfer!! I’ve tried for ages to find a reliable mascara that doesn’t make me look like a panda 🐼

I wish this video came out five years ago. I screenshot and studied how men naturally get sun burnt and started doing my blush like this since then and havent stopped. its very flattering. i also have a long narrow face like you. i used to do rectangles on my cheekbones but now i do hearts. i realized yes we are doing a stripe across the mid face but if we follow the nose and cheekbones its more of a W shape so the hearts help

It looks very pretty on you! I have rosacea and I look like this all day, every day, unless I use some concealer/foundation. I really don't like my red nose, so I will not go for this look.
I have used the look on clients with redness, you can utilise the redness in the right areas and conceal/correct other areas, it still achieves this effect nicely... But I do understand it might not be the look for you if you have rosacea and want to conceal those tones xxx

I have the same experience, I used to love this look before my rosacea developed, now I can’t get it to look good at all

Decade has been my “desert island” color since it came out. I get a sun kissed look on the bridge of my nose, across the tops of my cheeks and a little near my hairline. Also my lips, of course!! It’s the color I’d been looking for, forever. ❤

I often use your bright lipsticks as blush! They really suit my cold pale skin. Like jabbing my cheeks with the end of a popsicle. I use New Wave, Strawberry Shock and Skyscraper Rose. When summer hits I want the ice cream truck to see me from a mile away. I use Velvet Beauty and Pompadour for this technique too and they’re really pretty. A quick question: when your blushes return, will they continue to contain fragrance?
I’ve been using this technique a lot lately! I’ve got a lower bridge so I place blush at the tip of my nose so it doesn’t get lost
