Kind makes sense when you think about it. 1. Indy cars and LMH and LMP2 cars handle somewhat similarly 2. Track is half oval 3. Prestige 4. both are in the same country.
Little correction. There are no LMH in this year Rolex 24. The GTP class are all LMDh. However, we will see the first LMH in IMSA next year with Aston Martin.
With all due respect, but the IMSA championship is quite easy to watch in Europe. IMSA TV covers all the races without commercial breaks in every country except for the US.
In fact IMSA TV is in basically every country other then the US, UK and New Zealand, even Canada has access to it now that Pfaff (the dealership network not the race team they own) is no longer buying the rights up here to dump it on Discovery Velocity.
I'm a big NASCAR & IndyCar fan, fully getting into IMSA as my iRacing setup is getting better. Appreciate you're IndyCar content and would love to see more IMSA stuff as well.
You provide some of the best content on Indycar out there! Lifelong indycar fan, and you are showing the sport from an angle worlds better than the quality of content they seem to be capable of producing currently. We love it, keep up the great work!
3 reasons why they do it: 1. The IndyCar calendar starts in March. They can race to prepare for the season. 2. Most of the IndyCar teams run a car also in IMSA. (Penski-Porsche, Chip Ganassi-Cadillac, Rahal-BMW, Andretti-Acura) 3. IMSA needs extra drivers for the Rolex 24. Every IMSA team has a 2 driver lineup. They need to get an extra driver for Sebring/Glenn/Atlanta. And a fourth one for Daytona.
LOVE this race! Seeing it on TV doesn't do it justice you got to come to Daytona and experience it in person...I've made it an annual trip and I highly recommend it to any motorsports fan come and have a great time
Upload after upload. Insane content. Great job and keep up the uploads. I would suggest spreading out one a day or one every other day to have content for when you have breaks or something comes up. And to give your other recent videos time to gain views.
On the Scott McLauglin not being in the Porsche Penske GTP team, that is most likely due to space over anything, there are only 4 seats available for the non-full time drivers. In the number 6 you have Laurens Vanthoor and Kevin Estre who are both in the WEC Porsche team (and are some of the quickest sportscar drivers currently) and then in the number 7 you have Matt Campbell and Josef, with Matt being in the number 5 WEC Porsche and 2023 GTP driver. And I am not sure how much choice Roger Penske actually has with the driver lineups as it still is a factory Porsche team, and all the drivers apart from Josef are Porsche factory drivers. On another note, while he isnt a current IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe is going to be racing with Rossi in the Pfaff Motorsport McLaren.
I will say that Mustang you used a pic of is a V8 Supercars spec ride. Not a crazy mistake but I have a feeling someone might get butt hurt over it. Multimatic are the ones constructing the GT3 Mustangs with Proton being one of the confirmed teams for the year.
That 01 Cadillac seat is stacked... 13 open wheel championships between 3 drivers is beyond impressive. But Roger Penske I have to say, kinda sad the bus bros aren't in the same car.
Just curious . . . based on the clips you showed . . . do the IMSA cars EVER get through turn one without a spin or crash? I don't think I saw any on this video, but . . . ?
Aside from December January has definitely not been deprived of racing. With two striaght weeks of rally raid coverage, that just finished i am ready to take in even more racing.
Can't lie, I totally scheduled this video 12 hours early oops
I was gonna say why you upload at 6am
@@BoxInThisLapVR46 I scheduled it for 12 hours too early 😭
I don’t know what happened with Devlin. He won the Rolex 24 and 2022 in LMP2 and then his career went sour
look up his dad and the fraud money
Tbf his teammates were Pato and Colton
@natelecarde962 exactly Pato and Colton carried the team that year
Kind makes sense when you think about it.
1. Indy cars and LMH and LMP2 cars handle somewhat similarly
2. Track is half oval
3. Prestige
4. both are in the same country.
Imagine if they ran the full oval.
That and most Indycar teams have an affiliated team in IMSA.

@@ananastudio sorry for late reply but thanks. Im kind of an outsider for this sport

Really nice to see you cover topics like this as I never knew there were so many Indycar drivers in the Rolex 24

That's such an awesome comment thank you so much!
3:51 In fairness, De Francesco is an LMP2 class winner, he won with I think Eric Lux, Patricio O’Ward and Colton Herta in I think 2022
make a coverage of this race in particular

Is no one gonna tell this fine gentleman about IMSA TV? Free to watch IMSA anywhere in the world (excluding New Zealand and USA)
Yeah I've been told! Super excited to hear that, I could only find it on peacock until someone pointed it out!

True! Good point, I'm just enjoying it too much ATM I spose!
Great video and will check out your track. I liked the snippet.
Much appreciated!

Stingray is a valet at The Daytona Hooters
Unlike INDYCAR, IMSA are very good at marketing and growing their audience. INDYCAR should learn or even find a way to work with IMSA

Great to see the same names in indy cars being relatively consistent year in and year out...thats what made Nascar more popular!!!
Well its a bit early to start drinking but.... If you say so.

Definitely a British thing!! Assuming it should be "A-cura"

Where will you be able to watch daytona?
If you are from the US, it will be on Peacock and anywhere else in the world qualifying and the races are shown for free and uninterrupted on IMSA TV
@maxb4085 thank you :)
Its interesting considering GTPs are more or less just Indycars with fenders and even pro GT3 drivers describe them as just glorified GT3 or GTE cars.
Surely be nice if 3 can take part in the daytona 500, to expose them to a wider audience.
