  • Howdy ya’ll. Today we will dive into a topic which I have seldom heard discussed before, yet this miraculous architecture would go on to reshape the history of the African Continent. Great Zimbabwe is a legendary fortification in the heart of the country of the same name. Great Zimbabwe is not only the largest pre-colonization fort in Africa, but it is also built entirely using the Dry Stone method, meaning each stone was meticulously placed and set without the use of any mortar or adhesive.
Further diving into the history of Great Zimbabwe will indicate it has, for centuries, been a location of much struggle and debate. With legends that tie Great Zimbabwe to King Solomon, The Queen of Sheba, and even Prester John, the history is ripe for our attention. For many years, for example, the history of Great Zimbabwe was purportedly mislabeled by Rhodesian scholars under orders of the ruling power.
It was only with the independence of Zimbabwe in the year 1980 that the true history, and mystery, of Great Zimbabwe has begun to come to the limelight. Today we will try to figure out the complicated narrative, while entertaining theories, and looking at the first photographs ever taken of Great Zimbabwe from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy!

Your reply, makes me smile ! I appreciate this old history, and I really love the forts, as many of them are not just 'forts', but instead, something very special called 'star forts ' ! ( Look into them, as they are often very unique) !

"Great Zimbabwe Walls" is an insightful song by the reggae band Midnite. Written by the brilliant Vaughn Benjamin who died mysteriously like so many reggae insightful composers.

King Soloman and Hiram of Phoenicia built a shipping company from the Red Sea port near Eilat/Akaba controlled from Jerusalem to sail Philippines for resources, Ethiopia would be a very important port between the two.

Excellent info ! I have seen several old maps showing the amount, etc of amazing structure/civilization of Africa's past ! So, what happened to all of it ? How did it get covered up, or even erased ? ( These old maps show castles , etc ).

Africa is the one place we know for sure was reseted. Invaded by a federation with the goals to take all from the African. Their culture, their people, their ressources, their history, everything. When you read a about what the portugesse saw the first time they went there, you understand that most is not every big cities were destroyed

supposedly there are other seemingly older stone constructs in africa such as "adam's calendar" and other similar stone enclosures and tone emitting stones in south africa... one of the megalithomania guys did a bunch of research and lectures on the subject...

Very interesting...much food for thought, aka "research" needed on this area of the world...probably next to impossible to uncover the layers and layers of lies about not only Zimbabwe, but Africa as a whole. Much like the lies of the convicts shipped to Australia as a bleak, undeveloped place, which we now know is not the truth. Thanks Jarid...you continue to hit the ball out of the park !!!

Great Zimbabwe is in the direct line from Adam's Calendar (South Africa) to the Great Pyramid of Giza. Just to add to the mystery.

Genetic test show the lemba clan, the buba, share a genetic elemental found among the Jewish priestly line as one of the 12 clans who left isreal 2500 yrs ago. known as kohanim.

Genetic test and haplogroups has proven the elites at great Zimbabwe and mapungubwe are sotho, tswana, shona, venda and kalanga people since we share a haplogroup and X mitochondrial haplogroup. The lemba have zero to no relationship to any of the shona, venda, kalanga, sotho and tswana peoples. The lemba also sena practiced slavery since in judaism slavery is allowed very legal. The shona , venda and kalanga people never practiced slavery or even had a servant system it was a taboo for them like cannablism, bestiality, necrophilia. It is also not a fort its symbolic the walls are not defensive .

Great Zimbabwe was built by the Shona/Karanga-Kalanga. Why can’t people simply accept that fact? I keep seeing so many people making absurd claims about this history.

Sub-Saharan Africa is note worthy not for 'Great Zimbabwe (an architectural abberation) but for the paucity of evidence of anything else like it in the rest of sub Africa. Logic was incline to support the idea that 'GZ' was the result of another, very foreign culture.

West Africa has countless architectural and cultural phenomena (like the largest cities walls ever built, and some of the oldest bronze statues in existence). Not to mention the great churches and castles of Ethiopia.
Also there is evidence that the Sahara itself was teeming with life roughly 500-1000 years ago but it was all wiped out by some sort of unknown catastrophe but obviously that is unconfirmed.
Either way there is archaeological evidence to prove that all of Africa has had advanced architecture for thousands of years before anywhere else in the world.

Jesus was black born in Southern Africa, the true original Jerusalem is in Namibia and great Zimbabwe was part of King Solomons mines. The official story is a farce. The ruins in South Africa alone blow the story out the water let alone, Zimbabwe. The Empire of the Sun are responsible 😅
