I disagree with a few points. A fuelling system for vehicles would be stupid - matches last 2 hours at most, there's no way you're going to run out of fuel (unless your fuel tank component becomes leaky or something). Also, I find maps like Tallil and Basrah refreshing in their openness. All the other maps with have so much cover and microterrain everywhere that infantry can go anywhere they want at any time and always be within 30m of a good bush to hide in. Tallil actually forces you to play a bit more combined arms, you have to get infantry and armour to cooperate to be successful.

We need fire control systems for tanks allowing them to be more acurate at range, but to balance it they should actually simulate the armor and components and crew to allow tanks to die more easily while rewarding your tank positioning and working with your tank's armor layout. I think thermals could work but no better than gen 1 otherwise the image becomes to clear and allows you to spot to far. Generally gen 1 thermals doctrinally is only used to spot a target and you use visual id to pid the target and lay the gun onto the target but im not in favor of thermals, more for fire control system similar to gunner heat pc.
I am so glad that I'm not the only one who thinks like this. FCS and thermals would work imo if tanks weren't HP based vehicles that can protect the crew at all times as long as they aren't destroyed. Armour gameplay is too arcady and I would love an overhaul of armour in general

I feel like the TLF need a rework too. They kinda did them dirty. Not even the fact that they get old equipment and no HAT kit, their camo and uniform just looks goofy.. I was very excited as a Turk when i heard of them being added but I would be lying if I said that I'm not disappointed. It would be really awesome to see the Turkish leopard and make their guns a bit more controllable. They were supposed to be strong in infantry but an M4 almost always has an advantage over the MPT Oh and great video as always!

Making the gun more powerful just doesn't always correlate to better gameplay or infantry. In CQB specially the M4 is superior, as it's quicker to aim and easier to control. At longer ranges where you don't need to fire as rapidly anyway, the MPT is probably better but then again it feels like it's got a bit too much sway but that might just be me
A good amount of people will always dislike the MPT because its a battlerifle the same way they hate the G3, admittedly as a G3 enjoyer I love the MPT but I will always be in the minority. Them not having a HAT is just accurate (you wont be alone in that if they accurately do France) and I think faction distinctions that are accurate are always worth keeping, and I also don't really see what's so goofy about the uniforms? Apart from maybe that they should definitely have gloves. As for the vehicles, definitely disliked seeing the pars, but with the units they got mostly pushed into motorized so you see them less thankfully, totally up for the Leopard but having the sabrah too is nice given its unique to the Turks unlike the leopard, maybe the leopard would show up in the tank unit? But I don't understand the people who treat this as a buff, ingame the Sabrah really isn't that much worse than most tanks, and the Leopard would get complained about all the time because of it's ammo rack... 100% no excuse for Turkiye not just having black hawk helicopters though. (Though gameplay wise that would sort of be a nerf to a faction that it seems people consider rather weak. Really the thing that would help the faction not be so vulnerable to enemy armour and thus feel better overall would be the commander actually being able to fire from the Bayraktar as a unique asset, which I expected them to have.
I really hope we get some new conventional REDFOR factions; Iran (no the MEA is not an authentic Iranian faction), North Korea, and Venezuela would fit the bill excellently!

They need to fix grass disappearing after 50m. It really ruins fighting in the forest. I know it’s the engine but to be honest removing grass would be better than keeping it just because you have to peek a hill an extra foot higher, where the enemy can see twice as much as you think they can.
Yes! There nothing worse than being in thick grass, thinking you have some form of cover, only for some dude on Earth under sweaty settings seeing you prone in a wipe open field
I would like to see Sweden added into the game, with a lot of their own equipment produced by them selves we would see some new vehicles, weapons, aircraft etc
i feel like it would be fine to add thermals to the game if they made tanks more vulnerable to anti tank weapons, e.g. 1 HAT shot can destroy the tank, or crew members can be killed by anti tank grenades and mines
My wishlist for Squad: - Make certain placeable objects available to all factions (especially the camo nets) - Give the combat Engineer a ladder - Make certain placeable objects placeable with just a rally (example: camo lean-to, a limited amount of sandbags, a limited amount of razor wire) These 3 points would: - make warfare and positioning more interesting, dynamic and realistic - allow for better CQB due to always having a quick ladder available for an infantry Squad - make recon missions more viable
I would really like to see performance improvements. Since all the updates since the ICO, I went from 60 - 70 FPS down to 40 - 30 FPS. Strangely, I don't see any FPS changes when I use upscaling
My hopes: Bluefor factions: France, Germany, Poland, Japan, Philippines. Redfor factions: Iran. Greenfor: India, African forces (based on ECOWAS or South Africa). Irregular forces: African insurgents, pacific East Asian insurgents. For the PMC faction, I think a mix between North American, European, and Russian weapons would be cool.
Instead of more way for command to kill things or summon things, how about more way for them to effectively helps, give them cmmd points so they can decide what assets to spend on. You want 20min UAV livestream? Then one less arty strike for you.
Here's another thought to improves the quality of cmmd chain, what if Cmmd can create unique universal markers (with text, arma style) on map and even shows up in everyone's hud compass. Just to indicate the general plans at the time, at least get ppl motivated. Never underestimate what a big orange "↓DFND!" Icon on compass can do for gamers mentality.

Maybe a second HAT kit with increased range but less powerful. MATADOR would be efficient because many other countries use it, making it easy to copy-paste to new Squad factions.
I think Egypt could be a really cool addition as they have modern us and Russian equipment in use right now. They could be an independent (even if that’s a little out there) and would give a lot of variety to matchups.
Payload slings for heavy lift helicopters (Ch-47, Mi-8 etc). You can either load up a crate stack that carries the equivalent of a truck logi, or a light truck (Spandrel, M-ATV), but it affects the handling of the copter severely, and dropping it too high causes damage or outright destruction to the payload.
I think an Aim Over Sights bind could really be great here, not only would it pave the way for close quarters aiming when using e.g. LDS mounted red dot or top mounted irons (like on the Specter) but also a more accurate form of point shooting when these options aren't available.
Saw a suggestion on the squad discord where they should re-implement the use of the backup irons on the british and canadian rifle scope. It got alot of traction since that was a old feature on squad and them adding it again would be useful for both the BAF and CAF since they are the only faction with bad CQB options (PS yes the CAF has a red dto option but you need to have a populated squad to use it)
my idea sometimes floating around in my head would be dedicated recon vehicles their only role is to spot enemys so gunner has a extremly powerfull sight with good zoom and field of view and their only ability is to scout Infantry helis vehicles ETC after they found something the gunner keeps it on his aimpoint for example like 5 seconds after the 5 second the vehicle will be marked on the map in real time for a short time groups of enemy infantry could also be scouted the same way or having '' ammo types '' as the diffrent typ of marks a fireteam or SL can place down on the map the only diffrence being that what ever you pointing at and press LMB the selected mark will apear on everyones map at the exact spot where you aim See a enemy sniper aim at him select the Sniper mark on your '' Ammo type '' and then press LMB and a sniper mark will be place on the map for everyone on the exact spot you aimed at Id like the first version more gives more meaning to the Scout vehicle
I’d like to see armor squads be like infantry squads with specific roles. Right now armor squads are like someone creating a squad just to get the marksman kit. If you’re an SL, you should be in the commander seat only.
At this point in the game I have only been playing modded servers. The modded factions bring so much more to the game. Besides optimizing the game I’d love to see some of the modded gear make its way into the base game
I´ve been asking for a Vehicle Combat Overhauls for years and OWI already have a game with a VERY GOOD VCO. It´s Squad 44. The driver needs to change gears and you can feel the weight of your individual vehicle much more. Light vehicles do still have automatic gear shifting to balance. Only applies to heavier vehicles. Add the more realistic hitbox and you have in my opinion a cool VCO. PLS MAKE IT HAPPEN !!!
So I think NV and realistic thermal could be done, provided the counters (dense tree cover or thick smoke) are implemented properly. It'd be cool to see insurgents get flares and commercial thermal or soviet NV as a balance.
I just got a 4070 12gb to pair with my i5 5ghz,i have seen my frames go from 70/80 to 90/130 fps depending on map. I was using a 2060 6gb before. Bumped some settings up. Im happy but yes optimization is the one thing i want before south american jungle maps or novel factions. The Brits do need some love though. New uniforms, red dot and a drone would be tickety boo.
I’m a little torn on map voting, it can be good but I’m sick of Yeho and Talil. Are these maps picked just because of the poor performance of squad or are people just obsessed with them?
I think some of it as well will be confirmation bias. People say the same thing on my server "we played that map last game" but when we check it was last done 8 hours ago 😂
you have no idea how much I agree with you on the chinook part, I mainly thought about it because one yeah they look badass and they’re cool and they sound good but a lot more people can go to one point, but yeah, you have another good point which is you could probably do 1500 supplies and ammo or maybe even 3000 like a normal supply truck. You could also just implement maybe one cargo cargo maybe 10,000 supplies maybe!! but that may be a little overpowered, maybe 5,000! And I 100% agree on the vehicle combat overall, but I honestly have to disagree on the thermal imaging. I think we should get it, I think certain factions and certain vehicles mainly tanks, But honestly, I don’t think the infant should be able to be seen with the thermal imaging, I’m not sure how that would look or feel, but I think if they could do that I think it would work out better, but I think if infantry does get lit up with thermals, it would be way too hard vehicles here. I said this on speak to text and I’m not going to look it over lol
YO BRAZIL MENTIONED! Looking at Project Reality there's tons of Independent/REDFOR factions that might add a lot of variety and a new fresh air for people who often hate PLA and PLAMC. MEA needs a overhaul on everything. Desert Warrior might be a good addition as well, M242 Bushmaster + ATGMs.
I personally would LOVE a rework on some factions, brits get played the most as a new player and i despise it every time. I want to like them, i like the L85 aesthetically, but im an iron sight gamer and its infuriating not to have it for infantryman
I would like to see character customization. Nothing crazy, just like skin tone, ethnicity, and what type of gear you are wearing such as eye pro, boot blousing, and other minor cosmetics.
The warriors base models can’t have stabilisers due to them not having them irl I think new models for Brits yes CTAS brought back and the Ajax replacing the scimitars I think just brining the time frame of the game from 2008-2016 brought forward to 2018-2026 can have better vehicles more accurate equipment models more variants of VICs like challenger 3 TD or the M10 Booker T90-MS
I want to see western European and / or USA maps. There's no story in this game. Battle for Mississippi river, because of it's strategic importance would be a great idea. Also modern take at breakthrough at Sedan ( wwii Arden breakthrough) would be awesome. Fulda gap would be awesome too.

"NLAW is the worst HAT because it can't shoot past 600m, while RPG-28 can" bruh hell nah wtf, NLAW is literally the best HAT in the game *because* there's 0 chance to miss a stationary target that is closer than 600m (which happens like 99% of the time) like... when was the like time you hit targets beyond 600m with any HAT besides NLAW, it's sometimes hard to hit even at 400m because of elevation differences, even when having a correct mark of SL... while NLAW is just point and shoot at straight line. I'd understand if we could compare it to Eryx, Metis or Javelin all of them have 1km range and more, but there's simply nothing like NLAW for anyone, but brits.
I think a new faction should be Israel tbh it has every uniqe vic you can think of: Merkava, Eitan, Namer, Perah, Yassur, MAR-290 and just a lot of other variations of vics
Coming from a brazilian, yes, Brazil "could" be an interesting nation to be added, the problem is how to portrait it remotely accurate, I saw a mod project about It (great piece of work) but in reality we bearly have any modern equipment (apart from the ones seen on goverment propaganda). I was stationed in a calvary unit and we didn't had any optics what só ever, and bearly enough bodyarmor to equip one platoon and a half. My dad served 33 years in an armored signals company and never saw a single armor vest or optic as well. And we are still trying to replace our jury-rigged FALs filled with duct tape with our "totally not knockoff, 100% domestic design" IA2 rifles, which from what I heard is a piece of trash as well. All I wish is to be able to turn off the PIP sights and all the blur. Before v6.0 I use to run it at ~50 fps on low, now I can't even get 20 alone at the shooting range. It literally made the game unplayable for me

Id like the first version more gives more meaning to the Scout vehicle
Having some map reworks would be amazing. Some of them feel so old now and not up to par with more recently released maps

I’d like to see armor squads be like infantry squads with specific roles. Right now armor squads are like someone creating a squad just to get the marksman kit. If you’re an SL, you should be in the commander seat only.

At this point in the game I have only been playing modded servers. The modded factions bring so much more to the game. Besides optimizing the game I’d love to see some of the modded gear make its way into the base game
The Warrior needs the top mounted Milan III ATGM which you can only use while outside the vehicle and stationary for accuracy

I´ve been asking for a Vehicle Combat Overhauls for years and OWI already have a game with a VERY GOOD VCO. It´s Squad 44. The driver needs to change gears and you can feel the weight of your individual vehicle much more. Light vehicles do still have automatic gear shifting to balance. Only applies to heavier vehicles. Add the more realistic hitbox and you have in my opinion a cool VCO. PLS MAKE IT HAPPEN !!!
I wish that turning in/out would come to ground vehicles. Squad 44 had it or used to have it and it makes driving much better imo
The vehicle launched smokes are inferred blocking smoke they hid visual and thermal smoke so a laser guided ATGM would be interfered with
So I think NV and realistic thermal could be done, provided the counters (dense tree cover or thick smoke) are implemented properly. It'd be cool to see insurgents get flares and commercial thermal or soviet NV as a balance.
Dude, if they added india or brazil the player base would EXPLODE. I think either is an incredible option.

There are around 5 Brazilian servers, 3 of them are modded. 4 Brazilian servers usually have +10 people waiting to enter them in the weekends
I just got a 4070 12gb to pair with my i5 5ghz,i have seen my frames go from 70/80 to 90/130 fps depending on map.
I was using a 2060 6gb before.
Bumped some settings up.
Im happy but yes optimization is the one thing i want before south american jungle maps or novel factions.
The Brits do need some love though.

you have no idea how much I agree with you on the chinook part, I mainly thought about it because one yeah they look badass and they’re cool and they sound good but a lot more people can go to one point, but yeah, you have another good point which is you could probably do 1500 supplies and ammo or maybe even 3000 like a normal supply truck. You could also just implement maybe one cargo cargo maybe 10,000 supplies maybe!! but that may be a little overpowered, maybe 5,000!
And I 100% agree on the vehicle combat overall, but I honestly have to disagree on the thermal imaging. I think we should get it, I think certain factions and certain vehicles mainly tanks, But honestly, I don’t think the infant should be able to be seen with the thermal imaging, I’m not sure how that would look or feel, but I think if they could do that I think it would work out better, but I think if infantry does get lit up with thermals, it would be way too hard vehicles here.

YO BRAZIL MENTIONED! Looking at Project Reality there's tons of Independent/REDFOR factions that might add a lot of variety and a new fresh air for people who often hate PLA and PLAMC. MEA needs a overhaul on everything. Desert Warrior might be a good addition as well, M242 Bushmaster + ATGMs.
Optimization should really be their absolute top priority

I personally would LOVE a rework on some factions, brits get played the most as a new player and i despise it every time. I want to like them, i like the L85 aesthetically, but im an iron sight gamer and its infuriating not to have it for infantryman

Armor gameplay needs an upgrade to the level of squad 44.
The warriors base models can’t have stabilisers due to them not having them irl I think new models for Brits yes CTAS brought back and the Ajax replacing the scimitars I think just brining the time frame of the game from 2008-2016 brought forward to 2018-2026 can have better vehicles more accurate equipment models more variants of VICs like challenger 3 TD or the M10 Booker T90-MS
I would love an offline game against bots, just so I can learn about the maps and learn the game calmly

I want to see western European and / or USA maps. There's no story in this game. Battle for Mississippi river, because of it's strategic importance would be a great idea. Also modern take at breakthrough at Sedan ( wwii Arden breakthrough) would be awesome. Fulda gap would be awesome too.

"NLAW is the worst HAT because it can't shoot past 600m, while RPG-28 can" bruh hell nah wtf, NLAW is literally the best HAT in the game *because* there's 0 chance to miss a stationary target that is closer than 600m (which happens like 99% of the time) like... when was the like time you hit targets beyond 600m with any HAT besides NLAW, it's sometimes hard to hit even at 400m because of elevation differences, even when having a correct mark of SL... while NLAW is just point and shoot at straight line.
I'd understand if we could compare it to Eryx, Metis or Javelin all of them have 1km range and more, but there's simply nothing like NLAW for anyone, but brits.

Coming from a brazilian, yes, Brazil "could" be an interesting nation to be added, the problem is how to portrait it remotely accurate, I saw a mod project about It (great piece of work) but in reality we bearly have any modern equipment (apart from the ones seen on goverment propaganda). I was stationed in a calvary unit and we didn't had any optics what só ever, and bearly enough bodyarmor to equip one platoon and a half. My dad served 33 years in an armored signals company and never saw a single armor vest or optic as well. And we are still trying to replace our jury-rigged FALs filled with duct tape with our "totally not knockoff, 100% domestic design" IA2 rifles, which from what I heard is a piece of trash as well.
All I wish is to be able to turn off the PIP sights and all the blur. Before v6.0 I use to run it at ~50 fps on low, now I can't even get 20 alone at the shooting range. It literally made the game unplayable for me
