came back here after listening to your collaboration with warren which your reharm really resonated the most to me ........l have tried many times to sign up for your tutorials online but it seems like waiting for the kingdom of heaven .....l really dont know why you make accessibility to your course die on earth...........
I understand you Corey. Even you can't get enough of that video. Yeah me too, I thought I would get tired listening to it almost everytime. But each time I listen to it I just couldn't help but marvel how music could make me feel so good. Wow. And your breakdown is on point. I would never forget your video on Talk music where you made use of sus chords alternating on different keys while the melody is maintained.
bill evans did that style of chord melodies but he was more on rootless voicings . bill evans was verry big on bossa nova hgarmony too while this is more og jazz harmony haha

I have some difficulties to decide when is right to say A-flat or a G sharp ? thank you so much to inform .. why here we are saying A flat ? I know there is an order of flat and sharp ..
It depends on the scale. In E, it is G#. Why? Because everything works alphabetically and you can't skip letters.. So that scale goes E, F#, and the next note has to be a G#, not an Ab, because Ab would be skipping. But in Eb, the scale is Eb, then F, then G, then the next note must be Ab, because it is next in the alphabet. Hope this helps!
@@SkilledMusician great info !! we are restricted by the alphabet order : A BCD EFG A (Majeur half step 3: 4 & 7:8 ) I understood it completely .. E flat maj you can t have G and G# again you need to use letter A so we use A flat !! Another last question is it possible that although a piece of music is played in Eflat majeur you feel that the melody sounds like is played in minor ?.. I am training to play nocturne 2 Eflat majeur ( F. Chopin ). I know each majeur scale has its minor and vice versa .. or is just related to individual feeling ?? Thank you a million ! 🙏🏾 ( I used to play bass .. 😃less headache ).

Ur ear is crazy. This is dope. Is this a jazz technique?
Thanks! This technique was definitely made popular by, and attribute to, jazz musicians.

@@Kassiusday Sure there are times when I might play a melody in a minor key, but the chords in a major key.

Nice cover photo Corey. Mmm I hear this a lot in jazz but I actually did not understand what was going on. Thanks
You are welcome!
Great skill achieve today. Is this locked hand a music concept too Mr Corey? And I guess this style of chords will fit well in organ voices well.
Yes it is a music concept! Be Blessed and Happy Practicing!
