His voice is remarkably similar to Adam Turla of Murder by Death. I know their name seems like it would be a metal band but it is the same driving, country-esque, music with low vocals. I'd recommend "Lost River" "I Came Around" or "Ghost Fields" for similar energy.
Give a listen to James Vincent McMorrow. He has a sort of Bon Iver falsetto but his singing is so passionate. Poison and I Love You More Than Youll Ever Know are recent songs he has that are amazing.
