More people ABSOLUTELY need to be reacting to Orville Peck! I’m so so so so so glad he’s gaining more recognition! PONY is a masterpiece of an album and we need a reaction to the album as well!
I didn't know this would be your thing!! Welcome to the rodeo, pal! Edit - warning ya, "Pony" is gonna break your heart. As for the vocals, I've heard people compare him to Roy Orbison and Chris Isaak - but I've seen him in interviews and his speaking voice isn't low at all! Edit 2 - I *have* gotten used to the vocals, but yeah, the first song I heard from him, "Hope to Die", nearly put me on the floor the first time I heard it.
@@mfgoth I'd had the experience before, and that was WHY I was like "Oh, I gotta stick around and see what this guy's about, if he can do to me what Lana del Rey did the first time I heard her, that's gotta be a good sign."
I found Orville Peck with Queen of the Rodeo about a year ago and I can tell no, you never ever get used to his voice 😂 I grew up on the old school country music everybody loves but I definitely felt like modern country scene has lost a lot of soul and respect over the years. Orville sings with the spirit of the old masters, I really think he's restoring a lot of the magic in country music. At least for me 💁🏽♀️
I haven't heard of him til he collaborated with Twixie Mattel (who I follow on RUclips) on their rendition of Johnny Cash/June Carter's song "Jackson"! His voice is awesome! You gotta check out their video of "Jackson" on Twixie's channel. You won't be disappointed, I hope!
I'm BLOWN AWAY by this!! What a reaction! Thanks Steven, I'm a new fan of Orville and can't wait for more. He will be a Legend. All I can say is WOW!!!!
Oh boy. You’re starting down the indie-country road. You still need to react to Same Trailer Different Park and Pageant Material by Kacey Musgraves. You will love Pony. I also would recommend reacting to Brandy Clark, Margo Price, etc. Plus there are more mainstream artist that are fantastic. Maren Morris, Ingrid Andress, Maddie & Tae, Kelsea Ballerini, etc. PS: People call Orville the male country version of Lana Del Rey.
Oh boy his sounds and vocals could melt a man. Pony blew me away when I first heard it, and I’ve been hardcore on the Orville Peck fan train ever since
I love how your reaction mirrors mine. The excitement, the blown away moments, the overwhelming emotion of being in the presence of genius, of perfection, of music majesty!! And it all starts with that amazing voice backed by that awesome music panarama! I wanna know why his name isn’t on everyone’s lips right now!!! By now, you must have seen the videos and know this is the total package. And you know this guy does this effortlessly! I think Harry has great courage to tour with him! And I wanna see this show! It’s gonna be amazzzzzing!
HELL YEAH DUDE. Orville Peck and this EP (and the LP) are so underrated. This stuff should be at the top of the charts and Orville should be a superstar! Also, I see "Dopethrone" and "Bleach" in the background. Kudos, those are two more 5-star albums for me!
Hello! Thanks for your reaction. I really wanted to hear your opinion about the talented young singer DIANA ANKUDINOVA with the song Wicked game.🌺🌺🌺 I think you will be surprised how a 15-year-old girl sang this cover. 💥💥💥We are looking forward to your reaction.
At the very top of today's "Things I Didn't Know I Needed" list -- Steven's reaction to Orville Peck's version of "Fancy". This was my first time to hear any of his music as well. I have been curious about O.P. ever since Harry announced that he was scheduled to open the Harryween shows. 💖
His cover of Fancy is perfect. I fucking LOVE that song and you and you can tell he does too because he doesn’t try and rewrite it. He leans in on all the right parts. Also, I feel like the best covers happen when the artist can add something extra to it and in this day and age having it be about a trans woman doing sex work to survive is so 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
This was the same reaction I had when hearing Peck the first time...and the videos on top of his talent..he's a dancer..too .. he's helped me through year of covid...loooovveee him
Will you please react on a new Russian prodigy Diana ANKUDINOVA? Foreigners call her 'The Queen of Goosebumps' (you often get them while listening) and in Russia she is also called as 'The Shamaness' for her deep, dark and somewhat primeval voice. Some even think that her talent equals one of Dimash... She is getting popular in Russia and former Soviet Union especially after her brilliant performances on 'You Are Super!' contest. I suggest you to react on one of this performances -- Human, Wicked Games, Rechenka, Blizzard. Big thanks! =)
It was very funny seeing the pauses in Fancy to relisten to the vocals, knowing that the 'I ain't gone back' was coming up. It blew my mind when I first heard it and Fancy is the song I streamed most this year (and I discovered him in August).
Have you listened to Chris Stapleton? If you like Peck, then you will love Chris. Start with Tennessee Whiskey, or Chris w Justin Timberlake live at 2015 CMAs. That performance has stayed my pinned tweet for 5 years and I don’t have any plans to change it as best live collab performance ever. Chris’s voice -ugh. You won’t believe it’s real!
i remember listening to No Glory for daaays on end when i first heard it! it was one of the first songs i sought to learn on the guitar of my own volition
This is great Steven I liked this video and the reaction, keep doing your Job it’s awesome I already subscribed. I also liked watching your reactions to RBD it’s a great group and you should react to another concert such as, “Hecho en Espana” the first 15 minutos people are going to love it. It’s an amazing concert.
Almost everyone who hears Diana Ankudinova for the first time does not believe that such a young girl can make such a sound! Diana is unique! Diana Ankudinova is an amazing singer with a low voice (contralto) that is rare for a young girl!
I am very glad you saw my husband. This is awesome. I love reaction videos, so, since you’re now in love with him as well…. I’m gonna have to follow you. :p
Orville peck is a guy from punk bands originally. Nu sensae and eating out. Neither exactly super well known. He’s gained far more recognition now as Orville Peck. It’s just cool knowing he brought sort of the alt/punk sensibility to his own brand of country music
That's a good note... Normally I'm old country, alt, or indie fan so I rarely got in to country singer like I've him. It does have a great blend to make it interesting to me.
Saw OP open for Lucero at Mission Ballroom in Denver, back in January, 2020 (before Covid). Saw him again, 2 weeks ago, in Denver again, but at Red Rocks. The lineup was Charlie Crockett, Yola, and Orville Peck. Amazing venue, amazing night, amazing concert!!!! He's so beautiful in all the ways!
I've listened to almost all of Orville Peck discography and, no, his vocals cont. to surprise and amaze me. Alot of his songs are on repeat for me, can listen to them back to back all day. He's a true storyteller...so sad his show here in Oakland had to be cancelled, waiting for him to come back to the East Bay. You also need to check out his Queen of the rodeo video. One last thing, Reba's version of fancy is also a cover...
Hello Steve, I like your reaction TBH and opinion about every song/albums. Anyway, do you remember you react to "Marina and the Diamonds - Primadona" music video? You should try react to her old albums "Electra Heart". I hope you enjoy all song from the albums.
I have to be honest, country music it's not my thing, but I do like watching your reactions, so I did. You were so happy with this that made me smile, you are so great Steven! Love from Brazil
Love Orville Peck. He enjoys his performances. His range is incredible. His talent is amazing. 😎❤️🇺🇸 Edited. My favorite songs are Fancy and Hope to Die. Drive me crazy is about two truckers in love on passing routes. He’s supposed to be in NOLA in May and I’m going to try to go. 🙏 please 2021 let it be so!!
Fun fact: Orville Peck used to play the drums in one punk band and sing in another punk band lol it's quite easy to check who he really is (real name, nationality, etc), even though it's kinda obscure
I don't know if you're gonna see this but here i go haha you should react to DNCE and the discography of the Jobros please! I think you'll like them (: Love your channel btw!
Can you guys please react to exo obsession album it's a bop every track is unique Every year EXO delivers an album with a unique and new sound that will blow away any mind when listening to it - and this album is no exception! Obsession offers a darker side of EXO with catchy tracks such as Obsession and Jekyll, but contrast them by adding lighter, more cheerful songs like Groove and Baby You Are. EXO also go full out with R&B tracks like Ya Ya Ya and 70s inspired songs like Non Stop. To say that EXO has only one sound would be incorrect, because they keep proving that they can master all genres and all styles! This can be easily shown throughout this album!
Please react to Orville's cover of smalltown boy by bronski beats...watch the the original bronski beats video first, then Orville's, they both hit.... so hard.

Cannot wait for the Pony reaction
STEVEN I NEED TO SEE YOU REACT TO DEAD OF NIGHT...GET IT TOGETHER
If you like Fancy, you NEED to listen to his cover of Bronski Beat's Smalltown Boy
I second this, that cover is sooo good :D
Just did. OMG. F’ing nuanced!
i’m so happy orville peck is getting more recognition because he’s so talented 🥺🥺🥺

Amen! “Hope to Die” had me in tears. I’d never listened to a song by an artist I’d never listened to before and felt THAT emotional.
@@mfgoth I'd had the experience before, and that was WHY I was like "Oh, I gotta stick around and see what this guy's about, if he can do to me what Lana del Rey did the first time I heard her, that's gotta be a good sign."
Throw Johnny Cash in there... No glory in the west is so Johnny. Love it.
Love watching you discover Orville. This EP really is exceptional.
And will add to the chorus recommending his cover of Smalltown Boy because wow
I hope we get some Harry Styles x Orville Peck content when he opens for him at Harryween
i'm looking foward to the Pony reaction, you gonna freak out honestly

I was lucky enough to catch him before covid cancelled the rest of his spring tour, had a meet and greet too. He's completely incredible live.
He seems to be a nice person, judging from the interviews. Is he?
@@AnnaLujza82 Yes! He was very nice. We even had a small convo about our love for drag.
@@ChasingTheGhost He is a one of kind, no doubt :)
Absolutely amazing live, got to see him here in Australia in January. One of the best live shows i've seen.

Look up Nu Sensae which is a punk band he played drums in. Dig in and you'll find he's a very multi talented fella.
There's also an Orville Peck set here on YT at KEXP in Seattle.
Beautiful reactions!! Subbed!
You shold do a reaction on Shania's last live performance on the AMA's. She sounds amazing!!
He was the drummer for the Punk group Nu Sensae
I'm unable to get over the raw power of a good voice, opera masters shakes me to the bone and this makes me feel the same.
I'm so glad you have heard ovrille peck now .
He's fantastic have a look at smalltown boy . bronki beat cover. Yee haw from Australia
He used to drum in a punk band called Nu Sensae so makes sense that he speaks to the punks 😊
Gotta ask, have you heard his new album, "Bronco"? Because it's absolutely spectacular.
Ok but I now need Orville and Reba singing fancy live
Thank you for this. Nobody is on to him yet I n the reaction world
