      What are you talking about? Art and especially music has never been cheaper and more accessible then it is today. Far off from a luxury product, more like mass production and throwaway consumption.

      Every artist should have multiple choices, and pick the one that works for their budget and taste. What you are suggesting is the equivalent of saying that all albums should have the same kind of music. Why judge someone else’s business model?

    I just love all the light. I have video lights pointing at the ceiling to try to simulate daylight at my home studio because it makes me feel more awake and alert. I really don't understand why people would want to track in a cave.

    Billy had a £2000 mic, a very good preamp, and everything needed to produce what she made... it was then made to sound it's best in mixing and mastering studios.
    As long as you've got what you need at a high quality, the next stage is sent to a big studio.
    She had quite a good bedroom setup.

      Sure, but take like ocean eyes for instance then, over a billion streams and was made with basic gear and was mixed by like 18 year old Finneas

    WHO designed and manufactured that custom made console?

    • @mikehawk2148
      @mikehawk2148 10 месяцев назад +2

      I've looked for this info, can't find a clear answer however a lot of the studios interior design is made by Benjamin Paulin, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had a hand in designing that desk, especially since the desk matches the other furniture

      It looks amazing but seems like it could be a bit unnecessarily reflective in it's shape, size, and material.

    • @NURREDIN
      @NURREDIN 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@RipperFromYT You've got a point.That could be really distracting when your tracking or mixing if you don't adjust the lighting. I'm wondering what that console would look like with a matte finish instead of being glossy.

    • @RipperFromYT
      @RipperFromYT 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@NURREDIN Sorry when I said "reflective" I meant sound wise not appearance. Hard surfaces like that right near your ears can bounce sound around and not let you actually hear what you're recording/mixing correctly. I mean look at all the solid flat areas on that thing and how it juts up blocking some of the far field speakers. Once again, it looks amazing but that thing has got to be making some kind of impact to the sound quality in the sweet spot.

      Look at 7:04 in the video, there is a humongous Neve console directly behind the contraption he's sitting at. It's well over 100 channels of Neve analog. Along with a very elaborate analog patch bay to the left. The Neve analog console is facing the main live room. The room in the background of this video isn't the main live room, it looks like a secondary practice/rehearsal/composition space.
