they changed the loot system, people can collect and use up to legendary gear as well as matchmaking be separated by loot rarity so people arent being beaten by people max gear. the reason it is f2p is because making it a demo on steam separates that player base from paid so they cannot play together. this would take many of the players away and honestly kill the game off. i'd say with the gear change that just came out a couple days ago and the stupid steam demo system in mind, the f2p isn't bad right now and the change shows they are listening to the community.

I'm willing to bet the next region that we'll be focusing on is noxus since it shows up in arcane a bit already but that's just a prediction
