Dont be afraid to just use summons or get help from others, there's a bunch of diehard fanatics out there who expect everybody to solo the content like they did and play according to their rules but its not a one size fits all. Have FUN and clear the content how you want.
I definitely agree, I’ve used summons for most of my play through tbh. I did try to use my mimic but she was healing herself from it I just gave up on that route😭😂
@@Chxann While I agree with the comment above, summons specially mimic are a crutch. If you don't mind it then dont worry about it but if you wnat to experience the boss fully then I'd say to avoid them. The game changes drastically when you use them.
If you need help Her bleed value is a stagnant 420 if you’ve hit her 6-7 times and she waterfowl’s strike her a 8th time this will stun her out of it Crucible horns and will knock her into the Air leaving her with a long recovery time, use it if you can (Fight her out of the water or use lighting if she’s in it if you can’t do that) De-lock on it the last combo of water foul and roll forward to avoid most of the damage In second phase shift use opaline bubble tier roll through the initial hit and second if you can scarlet rot ticks will break the bubble but you’ll avoid most of the damage like 95% this or just run forward very very fast Punish downward strikes with the hustlers Dodges Water-foul? If she’s directly above you roll and pray if she far away run from the first 2 combos 3rd de-lock and roll forward 4th does massive poise damage so be careful Dash lunge and double swipe? Roll through both attacks post lunge or use arena geometry to make her footing and cancel the attack for about a half second (also works with water foul if the ground is to far beneath her) Hop+Pericing king? This heals a lot roll to your right If she stretches her arm horizontally to her right? run back it’s a quad slice roll to you left she’s close Swiping lunge k. Second phase? Roll the step back ONCE and roll again immediately 7 twins followed by a piercing thrust? First 3 are only bad if you close just run in the opposite direction of her and roll counter to the direction of the slices if your close She’s weak to fire, firstbite, and bleed that’s in order from greatest to least greatest weakness. Good luck I use great stars with wild strikes to get through her first phase crucible knight armor cosplay with shard of Alexander, Crimson seed, Dragoncrest greatsheild, (last talisman was whatever) I used great mace in her second phase with flaming strike regularly apply boiled prawn she only does physical damage This should kill her but it took me about 70 attempts with maxed out weapons and tools and 20 hours no summons or raging though just a lot of waiting If you have the black blade use that it’s dot damage is percentage based and stacks on bosses also does a lot of poise damage but I specifically didn’t use this because it was a new play through and I want “Lord’s divine fortification” before kill malekith as he much harder without it But to each there own good Tarnished I hope this helps
Drqgoncrest greatshield talisman is 100% worth getting against Melenia. You'll be able to take more of her attacks because she just has physical attacks in the first phase
I surprisingly beat her after four or five tries. I did grind a lot prior to facing the Rot Queen. I had a Greatsword+25, with Lion's Claw Ash Of War, STR 99, VIG 40, MND 40. I also had the following talismans: Shard Of Alexander, Turtle, Great Dragon Crest, and the one from the big jar in Caelid. Oh and a Mimic Tear+10.

Took me like 20+ tries to beat maleina.I beat her using mimic tear max level even though it was pretty hard because she would heal off of the mimic tear.I just waited until malenia got agrod on the mimic and started attacking her aggressively.I tried to solo her but it did not work out so mimic tear is the best option if you cant solo her.
I haven’t yet watched the video but basing off this comments section I’m guessing you have given up? But You you honestly got this far😂so I promise you Malenia is extremely difficult boss that most people take days to beat. So I think you could try watching other players do it such as letmesoloher(I’m sure you might have heard of him) so you can learn the best ways to deal with her attacks and learn her patterns and timings
@@Chxann yeah he is ridiculously good😂I honestly beat Malenia with spirit summons my first and second playthrough since elden ring was my first souls game and it was hard for me. I’m playing it again right now on ps5 with no summons and I’m On my way to fight Malenia too as I’m typing this. Watching others play helped me a lot so it might help you too😅
Don't surrender you can get this but please never use Summons, thats equivalent of giving the controller to "older brother" so he can beat it for you. She almost always use her waterfowl dance when her hp goes under ~75%. You can bait the waterfowl with dagger or cancel it hitting her with frozen pot.
@@hikkaru9751 If you’ve watched my earlier videos you would see that I’ve been using summons my whole play through 🤣 It’s my first souls game and my first play through so if it’s getting too hard I’m gonna use it. Summons are available in the game so I don’t see an issue with using them to begin with.
I know a guy in the DLC who might do the same. Malenia is arguably a better fight though. But there are some really decent ones in the DLC, some pack quite the punch without being this hard.

I see that u have HP debuff under ur HP bar. If u hugged Fia u must use Baldahin's Blessing, it will remove HP debuff.

You can hold down on the D pad for you first equipped item so you don't have to scroll to get your heal

I ended up using Black Knife Tiche haha. Tiche dodges most of Malenia’s attack so she wouldn’t steal as much health back
