21:16 "From Soil Was Birthed Chalk" is referring to an alchemical process, which consists of 4 stages. The 1st stage, "Nigredo" (blackness) refers to raw, impure material. Which I assume refers to "soil" in this case. The 2nd stage, "Albedo" (whiteness), refers to washing the impurities away. This results in "chalk". (I wont talk about the 3rd and 4th stages) That's why our character Albedo is often called The Chalk Prince. (If i said anything wrong pls correct me any genshin lore enthusiasts out there)
Yes! It's the process for creating the Philosopher's Stone. Black (soil) is refined to white (chalk) which is refined to yellow (gold) which is refined to red (the philosopher's stone). Sometimes red and yellow are reversed, or combined into one.
@1:02:54- Okay I am back. Something to be aware of with ALL Cryo chars, they're capable of creating 'ice bridges' over water. That's what you saw a moment ago. So, no, they can't walk on water, but there is one Hydro char who has that ability. I'll mention who when you get to that char. Also, Shenhe creates Cryo avatars, you heard the other guy mention it when she first popped. Y'all were talking at the time though so it's okay if you missed it. @1:06:38- Emily got it right, Yae Miko is a fox, kitsune to be exact lol. Don't worry though, a lot of people have struggled figuring out what she is when watching her trailer. Miko is one of my fav chars and I will be pulling for her next time she comes around. One thing to keep in mind with these trailers is that some chars are DPS chars (on field major damage dealers), sub-DPS (off field damage dealers), or any kind of support like healing, shield user, buffer, etc. Miko falls into the sub-DPS category, so while it does look like she can take on all these foes on her own, in the actual game, she couldn't not without help lol. @1:09:35- I am glad y'all picked up on that since most don't. They get confused by the 'sister' line. Yes, this is Ayaka's older brother. Hey y'all asked for siblings so here you go lol. @1:13:30- Lol, okay clarification for all of the colors for the Elements (7 it total)- Anemo- Teal, Geo- Yellow/Gold, Electro- Purple, Dendro- Green, Hydro- Royal blue, Pyro- Red, and Cryo- Light blue. @1:15:14- You have seen this element plenty of times. Heizou is Anemo. It can be hard if someone has anemo though. Anemo is Wind btw. Don't rely on their char design to figure out their element. Look at the energy color or look for their vision. @1:17:55- Amber is sadly one of the chars who never got a demo, but you see her in Eula and Fiscl's trailers. @1:39:15- Game DOES have Co-op, BUT you can only do it for certain things. Only thing you CAN'T co-op in are for any kind of story event like the Main Story (Archon Quests), World Quests, Limited Time events, or Story quests. @1:39:55- Adepti are basically magical beasts that help protect Liyue. You've seen a few of their demos already- Xiao and Ganyu. Not all Adepti are playable though. YaoYao was just raised by Adepti. They have a human form and an animal form. Xiao's animal form is a bird, when I've never seen it. Same goes for Ganyu, she a Quillin (Chinese unicorn basically). That's where her horns come from lol. @1:43:39- HEHEHEHE, this is my fav char in the game and I love his Demo hehe. Alhaitham is my main Husbando too. Of course I have him. He was really the first char I REALLY wanted. Oh, he's Dendro, so his elemental color is green. Oh fun fact, all of the chars in his demo, their English VAs are all really good friends in real life hehe. In fact, Cyno's VA, Alejandro Saab, and Alhaitham's VA, Nazeeh Tarsha, they're related now because Nazeeh recently married Alejandro's cousin haha. @1:44:41- I think now is a good time to mention the different types of weapons. I briefly mentioned them before but I never mentioned all of the types- Sword (smaller light blade), Claymore (Heavy big blade), Bow, Polearm (Spear), and Catalyst (they look like pure magic users). Thing with Catalyst users if you see a book or object floating next to them in the game, that's a catalyst. In these demos though, what to look for is if you don't see them with any of the other types of weapons, it usually means their catalyst. Like with Wanderer, you didn't see him with any weapon, he's Catalyst. @1:47:52- I really should have mentioned this sooner, but there are 2 types of chars- 5 stars and 4 stars. 5 star chars are going to have the much longer demos than the 4 stars because they are rarer (and harder) to get. In the Gatcha mechanic of the game you have these char banners. In the limited time Banners, you have one 5 star char with three 4 star chars. So the 5 star chars will have the more cinematic/better trailers. So it's not surprising that you Jay are putting 4 stars low overall because yeah they're trailers will always be shorter and not as good. @2:08:44- Correct, ALL regions are based on different real word places. Mondstadt is based on Germany, Liyue is based off China, Inazuma is based off of Japan, Sumeru is based off of India, Middle East, and Eqypt, Fontaine is based off of France, England, and a bit of Italy, Natlan (the new region), is based off of Mesoamerica, Africa, and areas with Indigenous folk, and the final region (which gets released next year) Snezhnaya, will be based off Russia. Well, there is one more location, but we don't know the real world inspiration of it yet. My guess is, based off chars we've met there, it's influenced by Scandinavian, specifically Norse. That's my guess though. @2:09:54- There you go, Furina is the one that can walk on water lol. But in game you have to trigger it and you can't walk on water for long either. Well, I am glad y'all enjoy that. For my own God Tier list, these are my fav demos so far, and I am only counting 5 stars since it's unfair to judge the 5 stars against the 4 stars, oh these are in no order- Venti, Nahida, Alhaitham, Neuvillette, Furina, and Sigwienne (she got released after Arlecchino). Venti, Nahida, and Neuvi have my fav musical pieces, while Alhaitham and Furina had my fav 'story', and Sigwienne is just pure fun and appeals to my love of 'magical girls' lol.
Arlecchino, the only woman I can call daddy 😂. She's actually the opposite when you said she killed kids, she takes in children to her new orphanage, the kids call her "father" poetic as Arlecchino had a horrible mother figure so she decided to become a "strict, and cold but loving father" to directly oppose her "nurturing but manipulative and abusive mother".
@@cora4754 It's still weird how he "reacts" to some of this stuff as if he sees it for the first time, while I believe his video released only several months ago. Unless he has some memory illness he would still remember those moments so it feels really scummy that he fakes his reactions instead of just being honest
You need to react to the demos that have come out after Arlechino's, especially those of Natlan's five-star characters, because all of those are 10/10 BUT do it after the Mavuika demo is released, which will be released in about two and a half months. Believe me, the hype for that character is through the roof and we fans will see any reaction to that character
29:10 they're just taking dead bodies and putting them in a coffins. That's it. The lore behind it is that there's a big war long ago. So some people need to make someone take all the dead bodies and put it in coffins. Which made that place. The current owner is hu tao
@21:29- Deep lore from Albedo's story. He has one of the deepest backstories in the game. Sadly, most of his story took place in limited time events, even though his history gets mentioned in the main story at some point (which is permanent). NOW if you want to watch a video on Albedo's story, you can do that if you don't want to be spoiled yet. But the gist is Chalk comes from primordial material, which predates soil, which is more 'modern'. Also, his element in Geo, not Cryo (I can see why y'all would think that since the demo too place in an icy area). @29:13- No, the funeral pallor doesn't kill anyone lol. There is deep lore concerning Hu Tao's business, but I forget it. Hu Tao's not my fav char, but she's not bad by any means, she's just eccentric lol. @30:46- LOL Genshin was first released in late September of 2020. Technically it would impossible to release Hu Tao during the time of Halloween because the only new chars that get released around Halloween, are new regional chars due to the timing. @37:45- It's easy to misinterpret Kazuha and Beidou's conversation, but I can assure you, she's not a bad guy lol. I might as well mention now, not all chars got a demo like Amber (you saw her in Fischl and Eula's trailers) and Jean (appeared in Klee's). It only happens in the 1st year the game was out though, after Kazuha's trailer, you enter the Inazuma chars and from here on out every char gets a demo. @48:39- Funny how y'all mention Bow users when in there are way more sword users lol. Currently there's 17 bow users, but there's 25 sword users lol. However, in the next game update, were are going to get 2 more bow users so they will pass Catalyst (which has the 2nd highest number). @50:25- If you're talking about that particular statue with the wings, yeah while that statue is important, there none other like that. What you're thinking about are all of those smaller statues that are scattered all over Teyvat. Each region has their own God or Archon, and the statues represent them. They have a few functions, but the most important thing they do is they're teleportation devices. There are even smaller regular statues that are teleports also. @59:55- Uh buddy, Oni is a type of demon lol. Anyway, visions are those small circular symbols you see certain characters wear, it represents their element and is very important. In Inazuma, there was at some point a "vision hunt decree" where people had to give up their visions. And that's all I am going to say about that. Oh visions are 'given' their earned by some means, but you 'receive' it by divine means too. I wanted to try and get through the 2.0 cycle of chars at least, but I can't. I am dead tired lol. I'll be sure to comment again at another time, to hopefully catch the rest.

There are only seven elements in Genshin (so far). If you're not sure what you're seeing, you can tell them apart by the colours of their attacks. Anemo - Wind - Teal Geo - Rock - Gold/yellow/dark orange Electro - Lightning - Purple Dendro - Plants - Bright green (Collei is the first Dendro character) Hydro - Water - Dark blue Pyro - Fire - You know what fire looks like Cryo - Ice - Pale blue There might be two more elements by the end of the game. An Abyss element and a Light element. But that's just speculation. And it might be that only one character can use the Light element. As for what you should watch next, you should definitely finish off the demos. After that, definitely the version trailers.

Ok listen character demo are supposed to show animation , gameplay and and 1% of their personality NOT their entire story and personality if you want to rank their whole character you have to play the game or reasearch about them because demos are all about animation and character playstyle .You should purely rate them based on how much you enjoyed them .
Itto is an ogre, but is a higher rank ogre since an Oni which Itto refers to himself is the ogre evolution stage of becoming way stronger than other ogre's.
you ranked them based on the story telling but the demo is all about the animations and the abilities not the story if you want the story you should watch the teaser

About Hu Tao's business, it started during the era where deities and demons are fighting for the Archon position( only 1 in each of the 7 elements, so it was a royal rumble. Oh and Zhongli won the position of the Geo Archon). That event causes lots of deaths to both immortals and mostly mortals, thats where the funeral parlor came in. They cremate the dead to prevent plague and miasma to spread.
Good reaction, it would be great if they also reacted to those from Honkai Star Rail, they are from the same company as Genshin Impact because those trailers and demos are very well done.

Albedo is a character that was created by someone else. He's not human. Klee is not human. She's is actually older than everyone else in her trailer except the MC.

The 1st stage, "Nigredo" (blackness) refers to raw, impure material. Which I assume refers to "soil" in this case.

@1:02:54- Okay I am back. Something to be aware of with ALL Cryo chars, they're capable of creating 'ice bridges' over water. That's what you saw a moment ago. So, no, they can't walk on water, but there is one Hydro char who has that ability. I'll mention who when you get to that char. Also, Shenhe creates Cryo avatars, you heard the other guy mention it when she first popped. Y'all were talking at the time though so it's okay if you missed it.
@1:06:38- Emily got it right, Yae Miko is a fox, kitsune to be exact lol. Don't worry though, a lot of people have struggled figuring out what she is when watching her trailer. Miko is one of my fav chars and I will be pulling for her next time she comes around. One thing to keep in mind with these trailers is that some chars are DPS chars (on field major damage dealers), sub-DPS (off field damage dealers), or any kind of support like healing, shield user, buffer, etc. Miko falls into the sub-DPS category, so while it does look like she can take on all these foes on her own, in the actual game, she couldn't not without help lol.

@1:13:30- Lol, okay clarification for all of the colors for the Elements (7 it total)- Anemo- Teal, Geo- Yellow/Gold, Electro- Purple, Dendro- Green, Hydro- Royal blue, Pyro- Red, and Cryo- Light blue.
@1:15:14- You have seen this element plenty of times. Heizou is Anemo. It can be hard if someone has anemo though. Anemo is Wind btw. Don't rely on their char design to figure out their element. Look at the energy color or look for their vision.
@1:17:55- Amber is sadly one of the chars who never got a demo, but you see her in Eula and Fiscl's trailers.
@1:39:15- Game DOES have Co-op, BUT you can only do it for certain things. Only thing you CAN'T co-op in are for any kind of story event like the Main Story (Archon Quests), World Quests, Limited Time events, or Story quests.
@1:39:55- Adepti are basically magical beasts that help protect Liyue. You've seen a few of their demos already- Xiao and Ganyu. Not all Adepti are playable though. YaoYao was just raised by Adepti. They have a human form and an animal form. Xiao's animal form is a bird, when I've never seen it. Same goes for Ganyu, she a Quillin (Chinese unicorn basically). That's where her horns come from lol.
@1:43:39- HEHEHEHE, this is my fav char in the game and I love his Demo hehe. Alhaitham is my main Husbando too. Of course I have him. He was really the first char I REALLY wanted. Oh, he's Dendro, so his elemental color is green. Oh fun fact, all of the chars in his demo, their English VAs are all really good friends in real life hehe. In fact, Cyno's VA, Alejandro Saab, and Alhaitham's VA, Nazeeh Tarsha, they're related now because Nazeeh recently married Alejandro's cousin haha.
@1:44:41- I think now is a good time to mention the different types of weapons. I briefly mentioned them before but I never mentioned all of the types- Sword (smaller light blade), Claymore (Heavy big blade), Bow, Polearm (Spear), and Catalyst (they look like pure magic users). Thing with Catalyst users if you see a book or object floating next to them in the game, that's a catalyst. In these demos though, what to look for is if you don't see them with any of the other types of weapons, it usually means their catalyst. Like with Wanderer, you didn't see him with any weapon, he's Catalyst.
@1:47:52- I really should have mentioned this sooner, but there are 2 types of chars- 5 stars and 4 stars. 5 star chars are going to have the much longer demos than the 4 stars because they are rarer (and harder) to get. In the Gatcha mechanic of the game you have these char banners. In the limited time Banners, you have one 5 star char with three 4 star chars. So the 5 star chars will have the more cinematic/better trailers. So it's not surprising that you Jay are putting 4 stars low overall because yeah they're trailers will always be shorter and not as good.
@2:08:44- Correct, ALL regions are based on different real word places. Mondstadt is based on Germany, Liyue is based off China, Inazuma is based off of Japan, Sumeru is based off of India, Middle East, and Eqypt, Fontaine is based off of France, England, and a bit of Italy, Natlan (the new region), is based off of Mesoamerica, Africa, and areas with Indigenous folk, and the final region (which gets released next year) Snezhnaya, will be based off Russia. Well, there is one more location, but we don't know the real world inspiration of it yet. My guess is, based off chars we've met there, it's influenced by Scandinavian, specifically Norse. That's my guess though.

For my own God Tier list, these are my fav demos so far, and I am only counting 5 stars since it's unfair to judge the 5 stars against the 4 stars, oh these are in no order- Venti, Nahida, Alhaitham, Neuvillette, Furina, and Sigwienne (she got released after Arlecchino). Venti, Nahida, and Neuvi have my fav musical pieces, while Alhaitham and Furina had my fav 'story', and Sigwienne is just pure fun and appeals to my love of 'magical girls' lol.

@21:29- Deep lore from Albedo's story. He has one of the deepest backstories in the game. Sadly, most of his story took place in limited time events, even though his history gets mentioned in the main story at some point (which is permanent). NOW if you want to watch a video on Albedo's story, you can do that if you don't want to be spoiled yet. But the gist is Chalk comes from primordial material, which predates soil, which is more 'modern'. Also, his element in Geo, not Cryo (I can see why y'all would think that since the demo too place in an icy area).
@29:13- No, the funeral pallor doesn't kill anyone lol. There is deep lore concerning Hu Tao's business, but I forget it. Hu Tao's not my fav char, but she's not bad by any means, she's just eccentric lol.
@30:46- LOL Genshin was first released in late September of 2020. Technically it would impossible to release Hu Tao during the time of Halloween because the only new chars that get released around Halloween, are new regional chars due to the timing.
@37:45- It's easy to misinterpret Kazuha and Beidou's conversation, but I can assure you, she's not a bad guy lol. I might as well mention now, not all chars got a demo like Amber (you saw her in Fischl and Eula's trailers) and Jean (appeared in Klee's). It only happens in the 1st year the game was out though, after Kazuha's trailer, you enter the Inazuma chars and from here on out every char gets a demo.
@48:39- Funny how y'all mention Bow users when in there are way more sword users lol. Currently there's 17 bow users, but there's 25 sword users lol. However, in the next game update, were are going to get 2 more bow users so they will pass Catalyst (which has the 2nd highest number).
@50:25- If you're talking about that particular statue with the wings, yeah while that statue is important, there none other like that. What you're thinking about are all of those smaller statues that are scattered all over Teyvat. Each region has their own God or Archon, and the statues represent them. They have a few functions, but the most important thing they do is they're teleportation devices. There are even smaller regular statues that are teleports also.
@59:55- Uh buddy, Oni is a type of demon lol. Anyway, visions are those small circular symbols you see certain characters wear, it represents their element and is very important. In Inazuma, there was at some point a "vision hunt decree" where people had to give up their visions. And that's all I am going to say about that. Oh visions are 'given' their earned by some means, but you 'receive' it by divine means too.
I wanted to try and get through the 2.0 cycle of chars at least, but I can't. I am dead tired lol. I'll be sure to comment again at another time, to hopefully catch the rest.

There are only seven elements in Genshin (so far). If you're not sure what you're seeing, you can tell them apart by the colours of their attacks.
Anemo - Wind - Teal
Geo - Rock - Gold/yellow/dark orange
Electro - Lightning - Purple
Dendro - Plants - Bright green (Collei is the first Dendro character)
Hydro - Water - Dark blue
Pyro - Fire - You know what fire looks like
Cryo - Ice - Pale blue
There might be two more elements by the end of the game. An Abyss element and a Light element. But that's just speculation. And it might be that only one character can use the Light element.
As for what you should watch next, you should definitely finish off the demos. After that, definitely the version trailers.

About Hu Tao's business, it started during the era where deities and demons are fighting for the Archon position( only 1 in each of the 7 elements, so it was a royal rumble. Oh and Zhongli won the position of the Geo Archon). That event causes lots of deaths to both immortals and mostly mortals, thats where the funeral parlor came in. They cremate the dead to prevent plague and miasma to spread.
hu tao runs the wangsheng funeral parlor...theres no evil plot. she prepares people for their afterlife.
