I got a better video card so I could use DLSS and my cockpit lights and MFD's are still blurry. Ridiculous.
The WW2 pacific era has me so excited. Seeing an Essex with a deck full of Corsairs is just wonderful. I genuinely cannot wait!!

The dream collaboration would be DCS on the aircraft, Steel Beasts for the tanks/APCs, and ARMA for the infantry in a single simulator.
Maybe a mix between squad and ARMA for inf

This video really adds a lot to have Wags explain the contents of the clip. I hope one day we will see an AC-130H Gunship variant of the Hercules and also an eventual F-14D Tomcat. I want a digital cockpit F-14 even if they have to embellish a bit.
I’m not 100% that a AC-130 is in the works, but the guys working on the C-130 have 3d models of several components that would mount on Spectre gunship. Here’s hoping!

Yes defiantly would want an h/u over a w .the bushmaster is nice but gau12, bofors40mm, an a 105 com on you couldn't ask for more while flying over Iraq then that, an the 4 bladed props are cool as well

OMG. DCS is another level. Back when I had my computer/Internet store I use to have a Thursday night head to head with the JANES Flight simulators network together locally. Online over wifi wasn't ready yet, so direct network was the only real connection for the speed between computers. That was 25 years ago, so looking at DCS is next level. Someday, maybe.

I liked how the Iraq map announcement demonstrated seasonal changes within the map via the text. That was a nice touch.
Their was a few A-6 intruders who did Iron hand hunting Sams
When X-Plane moved to the Vulcan API the graphic possibilities are almost limitless.
This looks way cool to a nonpilot (me). I live next to the decommissioned Mather AFB. I get to see most planes on final which include military aircraft such as C-130, C5, A4, T-38, and every now and again F15 or F16. At work there is view of the final from the north side so I get to see the pilots do touch and gos to get their hours in A4s and T38s. Always in pairs. We are close to Beale AFB so once in a while I get to see U2 fly around. We are also aboutv50 miles from Travis AFB so the pilots get their hours in by using Mather. I could watch all these planes all day. But we have a mtg table and my seat looks out yhe window and get to watch those T38s and A4s all meeting. Thank you for your videos.

Does anyone have the video saved, where Wags is representing the M1 Abrams new 3D model, the track physics modeling, acceleration, breaking, the interior parts etc? This was at the time when ED was searching a SME of M1 Abrams to make it a full fidelity module, around 2014-2015?

Knowing the end goal is full scale war sim is amazing. Imagine being the actual jtac guy. You’re in a big skirmish and you call in air support from a couple a10s or apaches and it takes the real travel time from wheels up to bombs away is going to be erection inducing
I remember years ago there was Idea to create DCS:M1 Abrams. Would like to know if this is still somewhere in the ED's "todo" list.

I was wondering why there are no USA maps, like the NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE, where everything starts, I always wanted to accomplish the entire process of becoming a fighter pilot form the ground up.
I was thinking about a CAREER CAMPAING, going from props, T45, F18 at Lemoore carrier training, and until one pass all the requirements you are not allowed to go to the carrier to be certified and become part of squadron.

Great video guys! I am really looking forward to the new content and features of this simulator. Wags, I have a question: Will there ever be a usable version of the AGM-130/GBU-15, for the F-15E Strike Eagle like it was shown in the 2023 and Beyond video? If there is, is there a release date? If not, that's cool. I was just wondering! Again great video, and keep up the great work you are doing with DCS. You are giving people a chance to live out their dreams of flying combat planes they may have not been able to fly for whatever reason in life. And you are giving Veterans the ability to continue mission without having to rejoin, which is awesome! I believe you are doing more than you realize for a lot of people with the work you are doing. Thank you and God Speed buddy! 😎

6:23 Did the ORBX help ED with creating the terrain SDK? It sounds like one of the most logical explanation of this.
It would be a dream come true for a player based ground force doing a raid in fully functional vehicles and with fully functional gear in houses that are actual houses, while being supported by air forces that are helping defend them from an enemy that does more then scatter left and right and remain stationary and can fight back.
so is the oveall goal to fuse the destert maps all into a huge one ?

A-6E SWIP can absolutely shoot a Harm. 😊
While obviously impressive graphics it'd be hard to mistake for real in the close in shots of aircraft. I think they could vastly improve this by making the planes less shiny as they just look super shiny in all the photos while real ones generally aren't apart from the nose cone and cockpit. Maybe oversaturation in post or too many reflections in the engine.
Would love to see DCS get into submarine sim warfare. WW2 and/or modern.

Can you imagine players playing as ground troops like infantry, teaming up with fighters and attack aircraft in the sky to coordinate attacks on objectives, and even to win entire campaigns?!! Now that is a real sandbox sim, and I believe that it will soon give Arma, and other FPS a run for their money.
One day, that AH-64 will be flyable in the sim.. (Ill see my way out now)
I'd rather have them talk about the things we don't see that much, AI, ATC, Campaign engine, missing planning interface, data cartridges etc. What's a nice world with cool fighter jets if you can't engage with it? A sandbox?

I started playing DCS 6 months ago and boy I'm enjoying it! I'm so hyped up for what's coming I'm already putting together a new PC. It ain't cheap and risking a divorce here, but it's well worth it! lol

I believe you went over the hardware needed/recommended, a ways back...if so I'll find it. That being said, with the newest release, what would you recommend for a flight stick, etc if different from any previous videos?
Perhaps an idea for another video, DCS hardware for budget and also upgraded hardware.
