Theres gonna be more than 4 chapters, most ppl think there will be 7 chapters because thats how many there are in the chapter select menu, but toby has never mentioned anything past chapter 5, and in the game files there are graphics all the way up to chapter 10 loading screens. So. Y'know! Take everything with a grain of salt with this game :)
Thank you for the info! That's exciting, I have really enjoyed what I've seen of this game so far so I hope there are as many chapters as needed to tell the story 😄
To be fair, seems that way now given the information we have currently. But the story is not over and who knows where it could go. It could very well be by the end. Could go either way
@SoundtrackDetector There is absolutely connection from this game to Undertale. So far we've seen "versions" of 3 Undertale characters in the first episode with potentially more to come. I am excited to share with you all what comes next
Chances are. You won't need to have played undertale considering that: 1: Deltarune has been worked on as a concept long before undertale 2: the ending to deltarune came to toby fox in a fever dream when he was away from home back in 2011. 3: as amazing as Undertale is, Toby fox doesn't considering it to be his Magnum Opus. In fact, the entirety of Undertale was created as a TEST RUN to see if it was possible for just only him to make an entire game. However this obviously doesn't mean that deltarune is entirely separate from Undertale. "Beware the man who came from the other world" after all. I believe that the Narrative of Undertale was finished long ago, and that what we see in deltarune will not affect the *story of undertale.* *_-the ceo of 💀_*
@@the_ceo_of_skull Thank you for the deep dive! My experiences with both game have been positive. I'm excited for the next chapters to drop but I know that likely wont happen for a while.
@@the_ceo_of_skull’you won’t need to play undertale’ bro this game and Toby himself CONSTANTLY reminds/warns the player that it’s intended for those who COMPLETED UNDERTALE, and it does so in a way that’s very emergent and persistent. You absolutely NEED to play undertale to get deltarune.
It’s kind of silly that people in your comments are making such definitive statements about a game that isn’t finished yet. Based on what we know now, the answer is probably no. But that could easily change. The answer is, we just don’t know.
XD Well everyone has their own opinion which is welcome, but you're absolutely right! There is no way to know at this point though we can still gather clues to inform ourselves.

There are definitely connections to Undertale, but it's not a continuation at all. That wouldn't make sense. It's an alternate universe.

@@Lonewulf321 Only time will tell, but I will continue to explore the possibilities! 😄
Deltarune is PARREL STORY. It's not related to Undertale, it's not even alternative universe. It's just other story. So it's not continuation.
Ah, but is it though? Keep watching the series to find out! :3
