It killed 26 people in 2 different boat accidents, nine people in a lightning strike, and injured 2 in the lightning strike, AND killed Queen Elizabeth? What a menace
one thing i often forget about when playing deltarune is knocking on the door of one of the brick buildings at the end of each chapter, it has some unique dialogue if you knock on the door in both chapters and im assuming itll continue to the rest of the game
I'm actually surprised (& a bit disappointed) that finding the only knockable door in the Cyber World doesn't affect the knocking dialogue in the Light World epilogue... 😔 I almost wonder if it was originally intended, but then having a team made Toby forget to implement it (since then he's less personally immersed & thinking of/remembering ideas to attach while putting everything together).
one more important thing is that you can actually get money in the light world (Not dark dollars, i mean actual pocket change that will presumably be useful later). Kris has 3$ starting from Chapter 2, you can "borrow" 5$ from Asriel's jacket at the start of the chapter, and finally you can trade Undyne's box of chocolates to sans for 5$ more, meaning you can go into chapter 3 with 13$. Giving sans the box of chocolates does lock you out of giving it to Alphys, which might be important later, so keep that in mind.
I have a feeling the money is gonna be used as a morality scale. Basically so far every option needs you to do something morally bad (it points out Kris hates that you took the 5$, and selling the love chocolate is literally sabotaging a love life). So if you want a truly good ending, then you shouldn’t take any of the options that gives you money.
@@loganbreau882 that's a good point. In my "perfect" save, I borrowed the money from Asriel, but didn't sell the chocolates. I figured Undyne will probably be important in ch.3, so doing her quest properly might lead to a more favorable result.

I made "perfect saves" back in 2023 or so I thought but I found out that I missed a lot of important stuff so I guess I will have to redo it all again but at least thanks to this video it will be like 1 billion times easier Thanks Shayy!
to save you a possible restart i reccomend checking stats page on the wiki, its possible to set up your fun gang to have more stats at the end of chapter 2 than on pacifist through incredible violence.
literally this video represents my deltarune save files, I realized that I wanted to have a perfect rute for chapter 3 so I did exactly the same as this video, then my computer crashed and I had to do everything again but this time I wanted to get Jevil's devils knife for the wierd rute, just because I wanted to use only violence
One small thing you forgot: If you interact with Noelle's bed you upgrade to bed inspector LV 2, though im unsure if you also need to interact with all the beds in castel town as well
Yes I think you do. If you need to interact with the beds in Kaard Castle in order to get bed inspector in the first place, I'm pretty sure to need to interact with ALL the beds.
Fun fact, even though people like ralsei more, Noelle is stronger with her pacify being able to pacify multiple enemies at once, and being able to actually kill enemies with iceshock and snowgrave
With the Eggs, Theres also the interesting thing, that the Game Itself has a Tracker for them. I dont know, if Theres an exact trigger, but at the end of chapter 2, before leaving the egg in Sans‘ Shop, you can go back in Kris‘ Classroom where you find temmie, who will put an egg on the desk. Interacting with egg will Tell you, How many eggs youve Collected so far
Two potential paths that are mutually exclusive in the Light World are rather interesting, as in both Chapters 1 and 2, you can have Kris drink Hot Chocolate and eat the Box of Chocolates, which could build to some kind of “Chocolate Secret” in the future. Also, you can “borrow” the 5 dollars from Asriel’s drawer as well as return the Box of Chocolates to Sans for 5 dollars, which might just set you up to be able to return How to Draw Dragons in Chapter 7, which if nothing else, would be both incredibly petty and funny.
Another thing you can do (at least on the switch version) is pickup a second jevilsknife/jevilstail and another shadow crystal by entering the home menu and then going back into the game while in the bathroom before washing your hands, and then heading to the darkworld and going left to where you would normally pick them up. Im assuming its a known glitch, but I haven't seen it talked about much, so I figured I'd mention it. (I guess you might not do it for a perfect save file though, since it's probably a glitch).
Hey man, I just gotta say thank you so much for recommending 'In Stars And Time' in your flowey video, I decided to give the game a shot since it was only 20$ and just finished it a few days ago. I could not stop playing it!
Me too! I played through it and got so invested, I’m still obsessed even though it’s over. Poor Siffrin. I’m getting all of the achievements, even the OP one, the game has been magical for me, I have had Emotions when playing, I cried at the ending, best game of the year for me.
@@Jenga782 Man, gotta be for of the year for me as well! I got the steam one but found out there was a switch one and refunded the steam port. Wish I didnt I want a reason to replay the game 😭
I've seen loads of guides for perfect pacifist and weird route save files, but this is the best lol. I've been going over chapter 1 over and over cause I keep messing something up and realising after beating it and then messing up a different thing by accident. This is fun and makes it easier to follow.
this game is gonna be crazy when it’s done. i hope the theory of each chapter having a different soul type used in battle is true cuz that would be amazint
Well considering the fact that Jevil uses the red soul (which could line up with Asgore) and Spamton uses the yellow soul (Mettaton obviously), it’s possible that the rest of the Secret Boss Soul Modes could go in this order: Purple (Muffet but she’s a kickstarter boss so she might not be accounted for soul mode wise), Green (Undyne), Blue (Papyrus), Red again (Toriel), and then after those 3/4 (depending on if purple gets in or not), we’re in uncharted territory since the only “major” fight before Toriel is Flowey and he’s technically not even a fight!
@@AllanGuiHaya70 True, but while I like Napstablook as much as the next person, he's more of a side character and a mini boss (Muffet is a weird case since she's a miniboss, but has her own soul mode). HOWEVER, considering there was the whole "tyre cutting" thing Kris did and Toriel called the police, I'm willing to bet that it won't be Undyne that comes to the Dreemurs place, but Napstablook instead in a bait-and-switch (like the chapter 1 ending and chapter 2 beginning). So maybe we'll get more Blooky content in chapter 3? And plus, if it does turn out to be the Purple Soul for chapter 3's secret boss soul mode, it would semi-make sense since the Ghost fight/Dummy! motif appears in Spider Dance
22:00 You can actually see the Weird Route Manipulator without doing any shenanigans in a different room, it’s on Floor 2 in the room below where you get the Glowshard in Ch2 (edit: The 2nd Glowshard that wasn’t mentioned in the video, with the Unexplained Flying Orders), with the rolling vases/pipis, just barely sticking out from the top, you can even see it during battle! Also I wonder if there will be anything for NOT going back to Castle Town at the end of Chapter 2, as then the Cyber World Darkners should still be with Kris at the end, and not just Lancer and Rouxls who are still in your pocket regardless of if you go to Castle Town or not
Oh, oops, I *did* pick up the second Glowshard and just forgot to mention it in the video. I guess it's similar to items in chests and such that I didn't specifically mention but you're still gonna get natively just by playing. Also I just checked and yeah you CAN see a pixel of it in that one room, that's really funny
My 3 save files are A pacifist route, where i used act on all secret bosses, and recruited every enemy A bully route where i fought every enemy, no sparing, and killed every secret boss, kinda playing it like undertale geno And then the weird route, and i killed jevil for devilsknife, maybe when ch 3 and 4 come out ill change it to jevils tail but for now im sticking with devilsknife
I already have a perfect save file but I think you should’ve given more directions for the non important items because anybody that already does all the steps in the video would want to get every item in case it was important and there are a few tricky items that would definitely be worth bringing up, for example the light candy, the fact that you can miss the Ralsei and Susie tea if you beat spamton neo and Noels watch in the normal route I know I would’ve definitely been very happy if a detailed video with every item in it would have been made when I started to make my file Also great video😊
During Chapter 2 after leaving the Cyber World you can choose to not go back to Castle Town to deliver the Darkners and Queen, you can instead just carry them with you to potentially chapter 3's Dark World. I think it's a bit of an intentional choice since Susie mentions they should probably go back and check on Lancer back on Castle Town but you can choose to ignore her and proceed home anyway.
One of my big hopes for next chapter is actually more Dojo content, out of all the stuff in castle is deffinetly one of my favorites and they could do so much with it.
Especially since you don't have to worry about the consequences of your actions. I really enjoyed the challenges and found the final one to be pretty difficult (granted, I didn't die).
thank you genuinely ive been thinking of making a chap2 save file that has a bunch of stuff done in it before 3 and 4 come out and this video will be great for future reference
Hell yeah, I'm planning on doing this whenever the Gamemaker update is ready. I'm also going to do a zero recruits non-Weird Route for my 3rd file. It might end up as nothing, but who knows
I do hope the item storage gets expanded in the future, because what if there's more party members in the future and you want to see the interactions with the various Tea items and other variable-heal items
I really hope they add a way to get character Tea in past chapter 2 so we can see all kinds of reactions Unironically they're a great way to see how characters feel about each other (Noelle having a full heal with Susie Tea Kris having a high heal for Noelle and Susie, but a very low heal for Ralsei)
Can’t you simply just take the Character Tea with you into the next chapters to see their reactions… at least for the Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and Noelle ones?
Idk if this would be included in the "talk to everyone in the light world" part but going to Napstablook's house and talking to Mettaton seems to start another side quest that may be worth mentioning
6:15 while this is true, the formula is actually tension (which is internally handled as a number between 0 and 250) divided by 10, then multiplied by chapter number, and finally rounded down. So full TP gets you a bonus 25 D$ in chapter 1, 50 in 2, and so on.
The drawing labelled Alvin reminds me a lot of the drawing of Toriel in her classroom, which would mean the drawing is Alvin drawing his dad when his dad was a teacher. Which also would mean the chapter 1 dark world was in Gerson's old classroom. Maybe instead of repurposing Gerson's old classroom the school simply built an extension in front of it where Alphys and Toriel's classrooms are now. How nice of the school board to immortalize Gerson's legacy. By leaving his classroom messy and unused
This video is actually turning out super useful for the notes I'm writing for my playthrough next week with the new Chaps1+2 game_change build, since I'll be redoing all my save files for the chaps 3+4 release. Hope you'll make a video like this for future chapters
Hey shayy, great video, I wanted to tell you that I'm making with a team a fangame of undertale, and it will be awesome, I'm not gonna tell you about it now so I don't spoil anything so stay tuned ❤
I’ve tried SEVERAL times over the last few years to make my own perfect DeltaRune save and always end up missing at least a few things even with my near-encyclopedic knowledge of this game! I’m gonna be using this video like a BIBLE next time I play!
9:24 not only that but its healing power actually gets stronger with each chapter! 15:29 this is the first time I'm seeing this phone call here ngl. I knew you could go here but didn't think about calling Toriel Anyways, that's definitely a good guide! I know that I chose to gift Berdly and I'm not sure if I accidentaly forgot about some healing items that are no longer possible to get but other than that I think I did a good job completing everything. I guess I also didn't get the Devilsknife but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be needed anyways
A very interesting possible save file is one where you get the full key to jevil but not use it, start the snowgrave rout but take the thorn ring and stop at berdly and get the loaded disc (the disc with spamton inside it). If there was a super secret route it would be with these items.
DAMNIT I WAS WORKING ON DOING THAT AND THEN SHARE IT NOOOOOOO Edit: I'll add somethings that aren't in this video: -Write somewhere your elections for the vessel, it might be useful later, maybe to spare them. -Try to keep at least on of each healing items and armor, and if we get a new character save, try EVERY SINGLE ITEM on them in the overworld to see if there's any interesting dialogue (specially teas) and then quit the game so you get everything back. -Make sure you have a good amount of money before completing chapter 1 so you can buy everything in castle town. -I would recommend doing Spamton Neo later, after hugging Ralsei in the acid lake.
I made perfect files in every route right after chapter 2 dropped. I'm afraid I lost the saves, so I'm glad this video exists so I can make sure not to miss any details when replaying it :)
Thank you for this video and helping me set up for chapters 3 and 4 (I also wanted to say that a got ch1 egg FIRST TRY when trying to talk to the og starwalker)
i had no idea youtube was doing their own weird version of spotify wrapped now but apparently im in your top 0.9% of viewers this year? dont think ive even commented before but just wanna say thanks for all the great videos, they brought me comfort in some bad times
Great video, Shayy! 😄 I myself refrained from keeping copies of all the non-fusion consumables, & instead got many duplicate teas for all the characters (you gotta visit the Tea-Selling Addison with Susie & Ralsei, & also with Noelle, in order to get some for everyone). Because those reveal the feelings each character has about each other, as well as aspects of their personalities, & those might change over time, I want to periodically see how their reactions & healing amounts change as the game goes on. (Though I guess one could just save, give them to the various characters at various times to check their healing & flavor text, then reload to get the teas back.) Also, in Chapter 2, don't forget to nuzzle all the beds in Castle Town, as well as the bed in the room Noelle was imprisoned in, if you want to maintain that Bed Inspector title! (Though me, I'm going the Moss Route in my files. Got the relevant characters' moss status displayed, & made Ralsei the Hug Prince.)
I’ve done this too… I have three save files. The first is for playing through new chapters, the 2nd is for “perfect saves” (doing all the good/extra stuff), and the 3rd is where I do everything as evil as possible. I’m hoping to see the difference between all these files as time moves on
Great video, Shayy! 😄 Me, I refrained from keeping copies of all the non-fusion consumables, & instead got many duplicate teas for all the characters (you gotta visit the Tea-Selling Addison with Susie & Ralsei, & also with Noelle, in order to get some for everyone). Because those reveal the feelings each character has about each other, as well as aspects of their personalities, & those might change over time, I want to periodically see how their reactions & healing amounts change as the game goes on. (Though I suppose if you only have one of each, then you could just save, use the teas on everyone & note their reactions, then reload. Thus finding out how they feel without using up the items.) Also, in Chapter 2, _don't forget_ to nuzzle all the beds in Castle Town, as well as the bed in the room Noelle was imprisoned in, if you want to maintain that Bed Inspector title! (Though me, I'm going the Moss Route in my files. Got the relevant characters' moss status displayed, & made Ralsei the Hug Prince.)
One thing that shayy forgot to mention was mettaton's house and interacting with the house to talk to mettaton and some other guy probably the Deltarune mad dummy, if you do it again in chapter two you can talk to him again and he'll ask for something *entertaining* for cheaper three and you'll have to get something from chapter three so it might not be that important but it's still probably going to give an item.
1 important thing that I saw on a video once ages ago (although I still have to check for myself if it's true when I do my perfect save file) is that there's actually one knockable door in the Cyber City. I forgot where it is, but it's in one of the rooms you can go before Susie and Ralsei return to your party, and there was special dialogue for getting it. Maybe it'll give you a rank for knocking doors later on, Idk
The fact that you can gain shadow crystals after beating the secret bosses on a completely separate save file, and the fact that there’s also something in the code called the pure crystal, makes me think that we’ll be able to gather all the shadow crystals on a second save file without killing the bosses then purify them and save them.
This was an amazing video, but one thing I’ll bring up is that no one seems to focus on the potential third important ending of Chapter 2, where Berdly loose function in his arm if you refuse to save him in the Queen fight. It’s not the biggest difference, but I have a feeling it could have major implications down the line
Just a small detail that I personally missed when I did something like this a year or two ago, if you go through the queen car driving section without hitting a single car, you get a small baby car as part of your castle town. Currently it is useless but who knows if it will matter later.
You stole that idea from my mind! Kidding, but I also added the criteria of getting the most "Kris-Friendly" run. Thankfully in a lot of Chapter 2 choices characters just say whatever is Kris' reaction, but there was some small silly choice in school I think where I was torn between two options, even tho they wouldn't matter in a slightest
ever think about how or why tf toby composed megalo strike back like, it perfectly captures the essence of pure evil in song form, but it literally doesn’t sound anything like an earthbound song or tribute, which is apparently what it’s supposed to be
oh shit finally i found someone to recommend this: perfect pacifist undertale route! you need to make EVERY character be spared so that their names appears yellow on credits! whimsun? aaron? yep they need SPARED, not fled. and all secrets too: glyde, jerry, so sorry, etc. (maybe not gaster, unless you modify the fun value xD). Then finally the no hit credits xD ...ngl I'm really just curious on how to spare aaron properly. the only thing I can think of is lowering their health until the spare button turns yellow. it soynd bad but just for aaron it's quite fitting since he's a muscle man wanting a strength showdown xD
id like to say that i have never used weapon fusion in almost any game ever and i should probably change that for Deltarune. Ill probably grab the Twin Ribbon at least for the bonuses
One thing that I think will be important is money in the light world. In chapter one, it is possible to get some money by taking it from Asriels side of the room. In chapter two, it is possible to get more by talking to alphys to get the box of chocolates for Undyne and returning it to Sans. Feels like it's setting up the ability to buy something later but only by having done mean things to get there
So a little story I tried to do a complete save file a long time ago but when I got to the cleanup part of chapter two I realised I forgot the ralsei and susie tea before I did the spamton neo fight so a I had to start over and it was so annoying Now I have a complete save file but I went even further I got, and I’m not kidding 1,000,000 dark dollars it took me about 19 hours of grinding at pop up. I am truly ready for chapter 3 and 4
REALLY wish you linked the %localappdata% files which would've saved us a lot of time. Still a very awesome and helpful video though! I'm gonna use this myself for the preparation. Looking forward to seeing what Chapters 3-7 have to offer :)
Ive been trying perfect 100% runs for a while on deltarune, and had to reset multiple times just because I hit a car or didnt buy a second bigshot bowtie (since it would be used in a fusion and I wanted a normal one) In the present cutscene, I always went for the funny mega party option, but a permanent item in Susie's room is definitely worth it Overall great video Shayy and really useful
For chapter 2, I also have a third save file where I defeated Queen with violence, this way, Berdly's arm is broken, which may have some relevance in future chapters.
the way that Jevil speaks makes it seem like he becomes the Devilsknife whereas he just gives you the tail. Contrast that with spamton, who's post-battle (non-snowgrave) dialogue is the same regardless of if you fight of spare him.
About chocolates, you can also return them to Sans for some light world money, and you can find some more in Asriel's part of the room. Might be useful
Something interesting i never hear anyone mention is that you can go home right after exiting the library, so you have all the cyber world darkners in your inventory and seemingly will be able to take them with you into chapter 3s dark world. Its very possible nothing very interesting will come of that but itd be crazy if they actually show up and effect the plot of ch3. Or maybe theyll all freeze into statues and become background decor and there wont be more than a couple lines of dialogue about it?
My grandkids are gonna love seeing the ending to this game

literally this video represents my deltarune save files, I realized that I wanted to have a perfect rute for chapter 3 so I did exactly the same as this video, then my computer crashed and I had to do everything again but this time I wanted to get Jevil's devils knife for the wierd rute, just because I wanted to use only violence

how can you be so sure? 🤔
0:07 toby can’t even keep himself from going off the deep end again for the full duration of a simple message
Fun fact, even though people like ralsei more, Noelle is stronger with her pacify being able to pacify multiple enemies at once, and being able to actually kill enemies with iceshock and snowgrave
23:12 Also worth noting that you have to also beat both Berdly fights using ACTs in order to save his arm
I think this only applies to the second fight? Beating the first one through Pacify at 50%HP is still fine iirc
20:46 i give the gift to berdly because the original starwalker joins the party for a bit
He also joins for susie aswell 😅
Starwalker joins when you have spoken to them in Chapter 1, regardless of who received the gift.
18:04 This is how I found you lol, I just wanted to see the special dialogue and started binging your playthroughs
Unironically this is guide that i wanted all this time!
now im gonna add this video to "watch later" and forget till chapters release...
i wish i could forget about this game till the new chapters release, thatd make things much easier
“A second shayy plush has hit the channel” is crazy work
Two potential paths that are mutually exclusive in the Light World are rather interesting, as in both Chapters 1 and 2, you can have Kris drink Hot Chocolate and eat the Box of Chocolates, which could build to some kind of “Chocolate Secret” in the future.
@@AmondoDazz There are 43 achievements on steam, maybe you can try getting all of them on the switch version too
I've seen loads of guides for perfect pacifist and weird route save files, but this is the best lol. I've been going over chapter 1 over and over cause I keep messing something up and realising after beating it and then messing up a different thing by accident. This is fun and makes it easier to follow.
The best part about beating up King is that you can finish the fight pre chain of justice
this game is gonna be crazy when it’s done. i hope the theory of each chapter having a different soul type used in battle is true cuz that would be amazint
@@thepainpanda7681 you forgot Napstablook :(
@@AllanGuiHaya70 True, but while I like Napstablook as much as the next person, he's more of a side character and a mini boss (Muffet is a weird case since she's a miniboss, but has her own soul mode). And plus, if it does turn out to be the Purple Soul for chapter 3's secret boss soul mode, it would semi-make sense since the Ghost fight/Dummy! motif appears in Spider Dance
it would be very boring if it was all just red soul fights
@@eltiolavara9 yeah, but we already have yellow soul with spamton, so chances are the others might be the same
22:00 You can actually see the Weird Route Manipulator without doing any shenanigans in a different room, it’s on Floor 2 in the room below where you get the Glowshard in Ch2 (edit: The 2nd Glowshard that wasn’t mentioned in the video, with the Unexplained Flying Orders), with the rolling vases/pipis, just barely sticking out from the top, you can even see it during battle!
Also I wonder if there will be anything for NOT going back to Castle Town at the end of Chapter 2, as then the Cyber World Darkners should still be with Kris at the end, and not just Lancer and Rouxls who are still in your pocket regardless of if you go to Castle Town or not
I _think_ Susie stops us from leaving by insisting we visit Ralsei first? I could be wrong though.
13:00 BRO FORGOR THE CHALK
No way!!! That’s like the one thing I thought about that people often forget
My 3 save files are
A pacifist route, where i used act on all secret bosses, and recruited every enemy
A bully route where i fought every enemy, no sparing, and killed every secret boss, kinda playing it like undertale geno
And then the weird route, and i killed jevil for devilsknife, maybe when ch 3 and 4 come out ill change it to jevils tail but for now im sticking with devilsknife
I got obsessed with these choices and have made these perfect saves like 2 years ago.
I already have a perfect save file but I think you should’ve given more directions for the non important items because anybody that already does all the steps in the video would want to get every item in case it was important and there are a few tricky items that would definitely be worth bringing up, for example the light candy, the fact that you can miss the Ralsei and Susie tea if you beat spamton neo and Noels watch in the normal route
I know I would’ve definitely been very happy if a detailed video with every item in it would have been made when I started to make my file
Also great video😊
During Chapter 2 after leaving the Cyber World you can choose to not go back to Castle Town to deliver the Darkners and Queen, you can instead just carry them with you to potentially chapter 3's Dark World. I think it's a bit of an intentional choice since Susie mentions they should probably go back and check on Lancer back on Castle Town but you can choose to ignore her and proceed home anyway.
Nice, I will be doing this once those Gamemaker tests FINALLY release
One of my big hopes for next chapter is actually more Dojo content, out of all the stuff in castle is deffinetly one of my favorites and they could do so much with it.
Especially since you don't have to worry about the consequences of your actions. I really enjoyed the challenges and found the final one to be pretty difficult (granted, I didn't die).
thank you genuinely ive been thinking of making a chap2 save file that has a bunch of stuff done in it before 3 and 4 come out and this video will be great for future reference
Congrats on discovering and being first to document something. It must be an accomplishment and proud of you because you’re awesome
Thank you!! I always do this every single time I replay the game (which is very often lol) so it's awesome seeing you do it to!
I never saw anyone like ANYONE dodge those bullets like that before 0:40
Hell yeah, I'm planning on doing this whenever the Gamemaker update is ready. I'm also going to do a zero recruits non-Weird Route for my 3rd file. It might end up as nothing, but who knows
I do hope the item storage gets expanded in the future, because what if there's more party members in the future and you want to see the interactions with the various Tea items and other variable-heal items
I really hope they add a way to get character Tea in past chapter 2 so we can see all kinds of reactions
Unironically they're a great way to see how characters feel about each other
(Noelle having a full heal with Susie Tea
Kris having a high heal for Noelle and Susie, but a very low heal for Ralsei)
Can’t you simply just take the Character Tea with you into the next chapters to see their reactions… at least for the Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and Noelle ones?
@@thepainpanda7681 You can! But I mean like
Imagine having Tea items for any future party members!
@@neevko267 the ralsei heal is only 10 hp lower than noelle's
Idk if this would be included in the "talk to everyone in the light world" part but going to Napstablook's house and talking to Mettaton seems to start another side quest that may be worth mentioning
Thanks for reminding me I need to do this stuff still. Great video as always!
6:15 while this is true, the formula is actually tension (which is internally handled as a number between 0 and 250) divided by 10, then multiplied by chapter number, and finally rounded down. So full TP gets you a bonus 25 D$ in chapter 1, 50 in 2, and so on.
"the legs are all the same except the last"
watch this be an important decision that comes up again in the true TRUE ending!
Thanks Shayy, I’m going to keep this video in my watch later and use it as a guide when I replay the game just before the next chapter release.
Once all the Deltarune chapters are released it's gonna be hype, and I can't wait for that day to come in the future
25:43 Hey guys, Shayy here, have you ever had collectors anxiety?
Hi
Hey shayy, great video, I wanted to tell you that I'm making with a team a fangame of undertale, and it will be awesome, I'm not gonna tell you about it now so I don't spoil anything so stay tuned ❤
Hope it’s another soul fangame, but regardless, that sounds really cool! We will have patience waiting for it.
@Maggotier-t5o agian, I'm not saying anything to not spoil it, but keep your hopes we just finished 55% of the game❤️
I’ve tried SEVERAL times over the last few years to make my own perfect DeltaRune save and always end up missing at least a few things even with my near-encyclopedic knowledge of this game! I’m gonna be using this video like a BIBLE next time I play!
jevilstail + dealmaker give ralsei a +100 heal prayer plus the second highest defense he can get, so it is a must for me
im glad you are back to posting!!
i basicly replayed like deltarune like 9 times to get the prefect save i always forgot something
The most important save file is your first one. I want deltarune to remind me about my actual choices.
9:24 not only that but its healing power actually gets stronger with each chapter!
15:29 this is the first time I'm seeing this phone call here ngl. I knew you could go here but didn't think about calling Toriel
Anyways, that's definitely a good guide! I know that I chose to gift Berdly and I'm not sure if I accidentaly forgot about some healing items that are no longer possible to get but other than that I think I did a good job completing everything. I guess I also didn't get the Devilsknife but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be needed anyways
finally. shayy undertale is now shayy deltarune. truly a shayy undertale moment
Human... I remember you're perfect save files.
8:14 Chipmunks.
This *perfectionism* is *Pissing* me off…
I’m the original *Starwalker*
A very interesting possible save file is one where you get the full key to jevil but not use it, start the snowgrave rout but take the thorn ring and stop at berdly and get the loaded disc (the disc with spamton inside it).
If there was a super secret route it would be with these items.
DAMNIT I WAS WORKING ON DOING THAT AND THEN SHARE IT NOOOOOOO
Edit: I'll add somethings that aren't in this video:
-Write somewhere your elections for the vessel, it might be useful later, maybe to spare them.
I ALREADY HAD A PRETTY BIG GOOGLE DOCUMENT WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS ALMOST DONE
@@Adrian-ze9ud continue it

I made perfect files in every route right after chapter 2 dropped. I'm afraid I lost the saves, so I'm glad this video exists so I can make sure not to miss any details when replaying it :)
Ohhh that's a good idea actually, I totally just limp my across the end of chapter 2. I should actually prep a save for chapter 3
I myself refrained from keeping copies of all the non-fusion consumables, & instead got many duplicate teas for all the characters (you gotta visit the Tea-Selling Addison with Susie & Ralsei, & also with Noelle, in order to get some for everyone). Because those reveal the feelings each character has about each other, as well as aspects of their personalities, & those might change over time, I want to periodically see how their reactions & healing amounts change as the game goes on.
(Though I guess one could just save, give them to the various characters at various times to check their healing & flavor text, then reload to get the teas back.)
Also, in Chapter 2, don't forget to nuzzle all the beds in Castle Town, as well as the bed in the room Noelle was imprisoned in, if you want to maintain that Bed Inspector title!
(Though me, I'm going the Moss Route in my files. Got the relevant characters' moss status displayed, & made Ralsei the Hug Prince.)
I’ve done this too…
I have three save files. The first is for playing through new chapters, the 2nd is for “perfect saves” (doing all the good/extra stuff), and the 3rd is where I do everything as evil as possible. I’m hoping to see the difference between all these files as time moves on
10:18 I lost my tail because of that :(
I didn't know Noelle was gonna leave the party that early!!!
I think u can get it back on the fall on the left side of castle town pst ch 2

One thing that shayy forgot to mention was mettaton's house and interacting with the house to talk to mettaton and some other guy probably the Deltarune mad dummy, if you do it again in chapter two you can talk to him again and he'll ask for something *entertaining* for cheaper three and you'll have to get something from chapter three so it might not be that important but it's still probably going to give an item.
I was literally thinking about doing this a few days ago after I started chapter 1, thanks Shayyy!!
Maybe it'll give you a rank for knocking doors later on, Idk
amazing video! i would also love to see the second part of it with chapters 3 and 4 once we know everything about them
The fact that you can gain shadow crystals after beating the secret bosses on a completely separate save file, and the fact that there’s also something in the code called the pure crystal, makes me think that we’ll be able to gather all the shadow crystals on a second save file without killing the bosses then purify them and save them.
20:46 i had no clue that the Susie plush appears in her room, i always gave it to berdly for the “full party” on one screen
Thankfully in a lot of Chapter 2 choices characters just say whatever is Kris' reaction, but there was some small silly choice in school I think where I was torn between two options, even tho they wouldn't matter in a slightest
ever think about how or why tf toby composed megalo strike back
like, it perfectly captures the essence of pure evil in song form, but it literally doesn’t sound anything like an earthbound song or tribute, which is apparently what it’s supposed to be
oh shit finally i found someone to recommend this:
perfect pacifist undertale route! you need to make EVERY character be spared so that their names appears yellow on credits! whimsun? aaron? yep they need SPARED, not fled. and all secrets too: glyde, jerry, so sorry, etc. (maybe not gaster, unless you modify the fun value xD). Then finally the no hit credits xD
...ngl I'm really just curious on how to spare aaron properly. the only thing I can think of is lowering their health until the spare button turns yellow. it soynd bad but just for aaron it's quite fitting since he's a muscle man wanting a strength showdown xD
I know a way to spare Aaron!!
When you get an Aaron + Woshua encounter, act with "joke" on Wosh, then Aaron will have a yellow name :)
id like to say that i have never used weapon fusion in almost any game ever and i should probably change that for Deltarune.
Feels like it's setting up the ability to buy something later but only by having done mean things to get there
So a little story
I tried to do a complete save file a long time ago but when I got to the cleanup part of chapter two I realised I forgot the ralsei and susie tea before I did the spamton neo fight so a I had to start over and it was so annoying
Now I have a complete save file but I went even further I got, and I’m not kidding 1,000,000 dark dollars it took me about 19 hours of grinding at pop up. I am truly ready for chapter 3 and 4
Do you guys think it was worth it?
@@Immrfennel Man I'm gonna be 100% honest with you, I think you're insane
REALLY wish you linked the %localappdata% files which would've saved us a lot of time. Still a very awesome and helpful video though! I'm gonna use this myself for the preparation. Looking forward to seeing what Chapters 3-7 have to offer :)
Ive been trying perfect 100% runs for a while on deltarune, and had to reset multiple times just because I hit a car or didnt buy a second bigshot bowtie (since it would be used in a fusion and I wanted a normal one)
In the present cutscene, I always went for the funny mega party option, but a permanent item in Susie's room is definitely worth it
Overall great video Shayy and really useful
For chapter 2, I also have a third save file where I defeated Queen with violence, this way, Berdly's arm is broken, which may have some relevance in future chapters.
the way that Jevil speaks makes it seem like he becomes the Devilsknife whereas he just gives you the tail. Contrast that with spamton, who's post-battle (non-snowgrave) dialogue is the same regardless of if you fight of spare him.
Its crazy that toby fox is adding economy inflation into deltarune
This video is [absolutely fire] and deserves a lot of [love]. If not im going to [Hyperlink blocked]
I was literally thinking about this like stuff a day before this video was released 😅 this will be to huge help tysm :3
