Found this channel by accident. I am not usually a watcher of these outdoors videos, too much ego and ads, not enough nature. During these really challenging times in the U.S., watching these at night before bed is better than any pill to help one calm down and relax, even better than good weed. I live in the redwoods in northern California, and have done a lot of camping, some with others, mostly alone. You, sir, capture the essence of solo camping better than anyone I have ever seen. The peace, the silence, the scary noises (and I agree, Huevos Grandes!), the joy of making something by hand either through the lost arts of whittling and woodcraft or through your apparent enjoyment of cooking. And your videography makes it feel like we are in camp, with you. Hats off to you, great job!
You tell exactly what I want to say about this great man. I ‘ve followed a lot of camping chanels but no one can be compared to him. Just like you, I watched him by chance and I immediately followed his chanel and I realised how talent he was. He’s the best.
I really enjoy your videos and this was another great one. I need to get back to the woods. I didn't camp much but was a deer hunter and never really care if I kill one for me it was the enjoyment of just sitting out in the quiet of the woods and listening to the sounds. Please keep making these great videos
I watch your videos about every evening--so relaxing and mindful. I'm even more mindful about pouring milk on my cereal now! You've helped me slow down and appreciate small things.
There's something truly amazing, interesting and enlightening with all your videos. They provide, therapy, education, art, enlightenment, entertainment, and show the beauty of the world and how we as humans can...and should live in it and respect it. To find true happiness, self awareness and acceptance....you don't need a cell phone or Facebook. You need some spare time, a saw, a tarp and creativity to truly become comfortable in your own skin. You are a therapist, a teacher and an artist and you probably don't even realize how important it is what you do. Reality TV, celebrities, fake lives?..we've had enough. Thanks for doing what you do, it's uncomplicated, refreshing and real.
You made the best Spoon and Fork I've ever seen on RUclips!!! That was great, very good video I really enjoyed it!!❤️👍 From 🇺🇸 🙏 ☮️ wherever you were it was absolutely beautiful!!!!
I lost it when you started to carve the fork and spoon true cave man I luv the silence while you were camping it added a very tranquil dimension to the video
Yes, I am VIEWING THIS AGAIN: so will you want to! A wonderful look at the woods in winter and plenty of insights into how to make a winter camp enjoyable.
i feel he talks to much. Other than that i really loved it. Jokes aside It was very nice to see all of that. Loved the spork and how it came out in the end.
Wow I have never heard ice freezing before!! Heard about it. Totally the bestest part of the video beside the other best parts. To me forests have such an amazing energy which takes a person away from the "real" lives we live. Which are totally sanitary and actually devoid of life in many ways. Except for time with the family of course. Deep forests are something a lot of people cannot handle. Way to much energy going on. We have been separated from that greatly. You ever had a crazy surreal experience out there?
Totally agree. It takes time to get used to the forest. A lot of people, in fact all people who long for the woods talk about getting lost in the silence for days and days and just enjoy enjoy enjoy...but in reality its pretty hard. Dark, lonely and you are cold most of the time out of the sleeping bag, you get sick and struggles on. Ive been going into the wild pretty much every week for 3 years now and ...now I can say I'm finally totally unaffected by it. Im more anxious in a city. And regularly I've been a woods dweller since early childhood, back in the day when parents for some reasons just let us go unattended, and I got a pretty boring answer to you...In all that time I never saw anything out of the ordinary that could not be explained. I had a surreal experience 20 years ago when I was 20 years old thought...but that was hallucinations because of dehydration once when I was lost in the wild up north in Sweden.
Hey not a boring reply at all!! I remember the days when I was a kid our parents said be home when the street lights come on. I still did that with my kids. Guess I would be a bad parent now. But they have to learn to navigate the world. Yea I hate big cities and crowds. I like relaxed and quiet. And I have no problem being alone. Once you get past the fear of being alone in the outdoors it is easy peasy. Way more danger in big cities surrounded by everyone. Just driving is incredibly dangerous but we accept it and don't give it a second thought.
Great video again. I look everyday for your videos. I love the calm and steady camera movement and tripod filming. I feel great after I have watched your videos. I never turn seasick og carsick. 😂😂😂 So keep up the good work. Best wishes from Arve Herman Tangen from Trysil in Norway 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴

I just don't know when it wil be done, there are other videos you can watch in the meantime.cheers brother :)
Hello sir. I absolutely love your videos; no music, no conversation, just clear and pure sounds from nature. I have slept countless hours outside, both as a former soldier and as a civilian afterwards, and the funny thing is that, that weird noises, in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, in a area where wolfes have been confirmed living, does not scare or discomfort me at all, but cities and towns, they are scary and i do everything i can to stay out of them. Thank you.
Tack!
You are a superb craftsman, sir! Making that beautiful wooden spork with only a short, straight-bladed paaku, rather than the usual curved carving knives and chisels . . . well, it was a work of true art which only a keen and inventive mind could have created. And demonstrating the various methods by which you cook various foods is always a special treat. (I am Rob Kodi, by the way. I finally created a suitable avatar and changed my YT handle for reasons which I won't go into here; and yes, my first career was as a professional horseman and cowboy.)
