I first saw this movie at 14, and in many ways I feel like the idea of Lori Petty's tank girl gave me the power to be confident, outrageous, and ignore any opposition saying "you can't do _ " Tank girl will always be one of my ideals for beauty and strength.
I think the film did so well because the character had no conventional boundaries but was a very passionate person. Then even after enduring torture her determination over shadowed any adversity.

The movie was a bit goofy but i really like it. She killed the roll as written. They really tried to put the comic on film which was admirable. I think i would have liked it better as a kid though.
We need a reboot! I hear that there were plans for a reboot with Margot Robbie, don't know if it will actually happen, but if it does, better have this woman as a cameo.
