    Great video! They have a nice set-up there! The only thin that gives it away are the modern apartments in the background.

    Looks like a great little railway to visit! Would quite like to go there myself one day.
    S&D Prussian Blue does suit the Peckett very well! Thanks for sharing! :)

      Phil Wilson Thanks Phil! It sure does indeed! Was amazed how many people turned up! The weather was absolutely superb! Which really helped with the open-top stock ;)

    Wel, isnt that a brilliant little railway!!! I love dockside railways, the way the trackwork just blends in with the surrounding area! Its just the norm to hav a steam train running up n down the roads and paths :) loving the method of carrying passengers too!!! This has sooooo much modelling potential, if this was near me it wud definately get recreated!! Thanks for sharing

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  9 лет назад

      Matthew Snowden Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed! It sure is! If you ever visit Bristol it is well worth a visit! They do have a Diesel Shunter hiding around there too. Though it is not often used on passenger trips. It's what inspired me to create Compton Quay! ;) Your many shunters would be right at home on this line!

    • @matthewsnowdenshunterguy3352
      @matthewsnowdenshunterguy3352 9 лет назад +1

      They hav a shunter too :D its a very inspiring line! Is it all just open plan then? Or is any of it cordoned off? Any sheds or anything?

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  9 лет назад

      There are too shed that the public are not allowed in with permission, apart from that it is all open plan. I did ask if I could have look in the shed once with the shunter and they allowed me. I took a few pictures I think. Not sure where they are though

    • @matthewsnowdenshunterguy3352
      @matthewsnowdenshunterguy3352 9 лет назад +1

      Right i c, very gud :) wot sort of shunter was it :D so at the beginning of the vid where all those wagons were, they are open to public?! They wud hav been graffitied in some places!!

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  9 лет назад

      Will try and find out. Yep, all open to the public. You can walk on the tracks too! Lucky they have not had so much of that.

    That would make a great theme for a model. Plenty of ideas there. I always wanted to do a quayside one. Perhaps one day. Crisp shots there Callum. Thanks. Laurie

    Superb work mate, great footage and a pleasure to watch! Loved the sight of that Peckett in blue, she looks stunning. I will have to pop along sometime this year for a visit indeed! Also loved those shots from high-up at the end, will have to get you to show me them if you wouldn't mind. As I said a pleasure to watch, thanks for sharing! Jack

    It looks like it was an amazing sunny and reasonably warm day. I remember the area quite well. It looks pretty wild having a loco and rake rolling through groups of people on the roadway. Lovely railway. Thank you. Rob

      It was indeed! Best weather in a long time! LOL! It sure was indeed! Some people just don't look. Though the smoke could be seen a mile off! ;)

    What a dear little railway, you visited this port railway last year didn't you? Where do they keep the Peckett when it's not operating? I don't see any shed for it unless it's that glass pavilion in the early shots of the video?

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  9 лет назад

      C.W.Jenkins Rail Films Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed! Yes I did. Yes, your spot on. That's the M Shed Museum, about Bristol and there a shed in there. Though this loco is just a one of a number visiting engines this year, as one of the lines engines is out of ticket and the other is on holiday. This loco is normally on the West Somerset Railway at Washford. A fine beast indeed and has to be my favourite Peckett Loco of all time!

    That was lovely mate, 10:57 on was my fav :) I am surprised this little railway keeps going given the mindless masses that seem to wonder about the tracks lol
    Fantastic to see, real bit of heritage there. I'll put a link to this video on my Peckett model video :)

    Great video Callum. You must have been in Bristol early to get some of these scenes. Funny seeing our 'Kilmersden' once again in Bristol. I must admit sh looked really good in the Docks...i used to live in Bristol up til 1983, this area brings back a lot of memories.....Steve.~.

      Humbolt136 Nice! It sure is a great line! She's a visiting loco for the next few months, as the one of the lines locos is out of ticket and the other is on Holiday up North. 'Teddy' the NRM Peckett is planned to join her in June. So that will be worth a visit to see ;)

    Never heard of the Bristol Harbor Railway ,,,, Fascinating,,,, very surprised at the interaction between motive power and pedestrians ,,,, any idea what the building named the Shed is used for,,,, (is it the shed for locos ) many thanks ,,,,, Alan

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  9 лет назад

      ***** Thanks Alan! It's a superb little line indeed. Plus not far off the city centre. The Shed in the back-ground it the M Shed, a free museum about the history of Bristol. It is also where the locos are shedded. Glad you enjoyed!

    • @applecounty
      @applecounty 9 лет назад +1

      SDJR7F88 I had not appreciated how popular the S&DR Trust's Peckett was. Kilmersdon is a credit to the team at Washford (especially Nigel Smart) who keep her in fine fettle. The Washford team are taking advantage of Kilmersdon absence to undertake work on the Trust's 1942 Rushton.

    • @kineticrail
      @kineticrail 9 лет назад

      Im sure they will do as good a job on that as they have on kilmersdon. Be interesting a rushton in s&d colours

    • @applecounty
      @applecounty 9 лет назад

      kinetic .rail Or even in Cadbury's livery (whatever that was) as she was originally built for Cadbury the confectioner. The team will have to tackle some 'Iron Moth' first.
