I am 36 and I have only had relaxer for 2 years out of 36. Those who are now natural used to look down on me and tell me that you cant be adequately dressed without a relaxer etc. Now that they are natural, they are looking down on those with relaxer. Truth is that, you can't please everyone and some people just go by what is popular. My advice is to do you and always concentrate on satisfying yourself. If you listen to people, they will drive you crazy.

Only one tip regarding the trim, it appeared you only clipped the very longest hairs. Just be careful with that because over time, that hair will remain healthy while the shorter hairs in there my be splitting up. There is no need to be scissor happy, but you probably should trim a bit higher to make sure you got all of strands. It came out super cute, tho.
This is so key because i used to just trim the longest hairs too and realised over time that I wasn't actually trimming it properly as the shorter hairs were not being touched. Now I go through my entire head in sections/layers

Natural hair isn't for everyone. I've went natural four times and still want a perm after it grows back out. It's a growing process, if you know how to take care of your hair and it makes you happy then do what you want. I support both ❤️👏🏾

You got pretty hair you should try this homemade protein hair treatment at home to help give your hair protein,moisture and to help prevent breakage is to mix in a couple of eggs mayonnaise and also add in some olive oil and coconut oil in and put a plastic cap on your head to leave that treatment on your hair about 20 mins its best to leave in in longer about 25 or 30 mins so it can get deep in your hair shaft
You are the only youtuber I can find who do roller sets on relaxed hair. You taught me how to roll my hair. Never got to hang of it until I found this channel. The other videos consist of natural roller sets.

I'm trying to grow my hair back out because I use to go to this really great hair dresser who kept my hair long and silk (my hair was halfway down my back at around the ages of 5-9), but at the time my aunt was going to this hairdresser who shared a shop with this woman who also did kids hair ( a family friend), so my aunt, grandma, and mom thought it was a good idea that I go with my aunt when she goes. So I went to her and as I went to her to get my hair permed, regularly as I was with the other person, my hair started to get shorter FAST! My family started to notice it, my friends noticed it, and low and behold the hairdresser started to notice it. Sooner or later we figured out that it was because of the perm she used on my head. When I went to the other beauty salon I took my own. When I went to her the first couple of times I took my own, but she told me to.stop bringing my own because "she had some" 😑. Anywho, I really enjoy your videos and they're helping me tons!

I went back to the first lady back in January and got a bob cut and a relaxer, I haven't had a perm since, well yes I have it just didn't take because I was burning too bad and I haven't been to the beauty shop because my family hasn't had the money to send me back, but I have been keeping weave (crochet twists and box braids) in my hair as a protective style. Since school is starting back next week I'm going to the first lady, the one who had my hair healthy, and getting a relaxer along with a trim.

great video, i would say to not use so much of the leavening conditioner. It weighs the hair down, resulting in lack of movement. one last note, when your mom applies the relaxer, stay about 1/2 inch away from the scalp and once you go over the relaxer a second time, thats when you apply to the scalp area.

Natural hair isn't for everyone. I've went natural four times and still want a perm after it grows back out. It's a growing process, if you know how to take care of your hair and it makes you happy then do what you want. I support both ❤️👏🏾

You got pretty hair you should try this homemade protein hair treatment at home to help give your hair protein,moisture and to help prevent breakage is to mix in a couple of eggs mayonnaise and also add in some olive oil and coconut oil in and put a plastic cap on your head to leave that treatment on your hair about 20 mins its best to leave in in longer about 25 or 30 mins so it can get deep in your hair shaft

I'm so so glad that I found your channel! I'm trying to grow my hair back out because I use to go to this really great hair dresser who kept my hair long and silk (my hair was halfway down my back at around the ages of 5-9), but at the time my aunt was going to this hairdresser who shared a shop with this woman who also did kids hair ( a family friend), so my aunt, grandma, and mom thought it was a good idea that I go with my aunt when she goes. So I went to her and as I went to her to get my hair permed, regularly as I was with the other person, my hair started to get shorter FAST! My family started to notice it, my friends noticed it, and low and behold the hairdresser started to notice it. Sooner or later we figured out that it was because of the perm she used on my head. When I went to the other beauty salon I took my own. When I went to her the first couple of times I took my own, but she told me to.stop bringing my own because "she had some" 😑. Anywho, I really enjoy your videos and they're helping me tons!

Ladi'L Yes. My hair started to grow back. I went back to the first lady back in January and got a bob cut and a relaxer, I haven't had a perm since, well yes I have it just didn't take because I was burning too bad and I haven't been to the beauty shop because my family hasn't had the money to send me back, but I have been keeping weave (crochet twists and box braids) in my hair as a protective style. Since school is starting back next week I'm going to the first lady, the one who had my hair healthy, and getting a relaxer along with a trim.
Ladi'L Lol, my family immediately stopped taking me to her once they noticed how short my hair was getting, especially after every RELAXER! I just go to her to get my eyebrows done.

great video, i would say to not use so much of the leavening conditioner. It weighs the hair down, resulting in lack of movement. one last note, when your mom applies the relaxer, stay about 1/2 inch away from the scalp and once you go over the relaxer a second time, thats when you apply to the scalp area.

If you haven't done already...Try doing it in small sections from the ends up don't use a rat tail comb something a little bigger.
