Wholesome thumbnail of 2 players whose games are always exciting. #suggestion Agad can you cover a Parham game from this tournament? He's bound to have at least 1 banger
Wow I did see Qa8+ since the knight was preventing kg7 the kings only escape would Black playing Qg8 be a good defensive move ? I know Agad said Ne6 was the best defensive move he did play Qg8 as I continued watching 😅
At 8:34, why not Black try ... Nxf5, Qxd8+ Kg7? Give up the exchange to get rid of one of the attackers? White doesn't seem to have an easy way to continue the attack after Black King hides on h6. Black might be able to get a draw.
@@nandhan1656 It's Queen & Rook vs Queen & Knight. That's not the same as Rook vs Knight. White doesn't have an easy way to continue the attack after that. In any case, a win for White in that situation is harder than what actually happened in the game. White was on the attack and Black was on the defence. Getting rid of an attacker for a defender is usually beneficial for the defending side.
@@curiouscat9yeah exactly but look at the pawn structure. White has a stronger one. And from here on, White's major objective would be to exchange the queens. My rating is around 2300 so from that perspective I am saying I would highly prefer if black gives up the exchange. So just imagine for players at that, it is almost a resign for black. Natural play after Kg7 might be Ra8 actually, which then forces black king to go uncomfortably to H6. Or more simplified after Qxd8 Kg7, the simple Qd3 forces an exchange or if NxH4', white queen back to D8 threatening mate, black knight can give a few checks and then its gg for white.
Jan Krzysztof Duda played a beautiful attacking game against Amin Tabatabaei to help WR Chess finish in 3rd place. He plays beautiful chess and I hope we see more of him. #suggestion
I think the problem is, it cuts off the Queen from g4 and h4, and Black can play Ng4+. Now consider these lines: If White captures the Knight: hxg4 Qxh4+, then Black wins back the Knight next move. If White doesn't capture the Knight, and plays Kh1. Then Black wins the Queen with a Royal Fork Nf2+. If White goes to g1 instead, Black plays Qc5+. White may block with either Queen or Rook. Then ... Rb1+, Nf1 Qc1, and White gets checkmated soon. The Knight on g4 also defends the pawn on f6, and cuts off White's possible attack.
@@curiouscat9 "If White captures the Knight: hxg4 Qxh4+, then Black wins back the Knight next move. " After white takes black knight the queen guards the H4 square. What am I missing?
@@yairkama7015After White played f4, the White Queen does not cover the h4 square. If White plays g1, then Qc5+ as mentioned, forking the King and the Rook. To avoid losing the Rook, White must block the check with either the Rook or the Queen. If he blocks with the Queen, then the Queen no longer controls b1. If he blocks with the Rook, Black plays Rb1+ anyway. So White can either trade Rooks or block with Nf1. But if he blocks with Nf1, then he will get checkmated soon because the Black Queen will also pile on the attack on the back rank. White doesn't have a counter attack, the Black King will be safe on g7 or h6 because the White pawn on f4 prevents the Queen or Rook from attacking through the kingside. Even in the worst scenario, Black will be able to save the Knight.

Wow, i think this is Tin Jingyao's first match on this channel? Happy to see a Singaporean (even if its because he lost to Dubov)
Also @agadmator the J in Jingyao is better pronounce J as in Jingle bells (this isn't the exact pronunciation but it's definitely better than Ying)

If it’s live there will be no pause the video moment but recaps yes 😅I’m just nit picking nevermind me
