The first aircraft I flew on as a kid. The pax version of course. Thai Airways A300 from Colombo to Bangkok in 1999.🤩🤩

Reminds me, need to find my old AAL mx manuals in storage. Thx for sharing this. Unmistakable PW hum. UPS bird? The new Honeywell retrofit on them are quite the departure from the factory appearance. The IS&S/LDS displays they are putting on 75s and 76s’ now a days look much more like a seamless match.

I miss Aviation ,,but not the BS regs and people that went with them. I don't mean the FAA. I'm talking TSA, OSHA , EPA ect.

@@Eagle127 cool you wouldn't happen to know approximately how long these engines took from idle to get to max power?. Sounds daft but i have a simulated version and its taking 15 seconds from idle to max. I changed the spool up time to 8 seconds and that seems about right to what im seeing in videos of the real thing.

@@Vanadeo Yes about 8 seconds. Cross your fingers for no stagnation or stall.

@@VanadeoIf you are talking about the sim I think you are then trust me when I tell you. The spool time in that sim for the CF6-80C2A is way off. FADEC version or not. That sim has it spool like an old JT8D low bypass fan. 8-10 seconds tops from idle to thrust on either the PW4K or CF6-80. I heard it was even worse before, something north of 20. They didn’t want to hear how off it was. Weird considering they got most other things on it pretty bang on.
