Hey Robert, (R)eusable is referring to the P3 layer of the filters. That means you can use it more than once until it accumulates too much particulate in the filter media. Provided those particulates are not radioactive fallout, which you would want to discard properly as part of your decon protocol after each use, and not reuse. As for each filter and use duration, that is a complex question with many variables including saturation of the airborne threat, temperature/humidity, and other factors. Rule of thumb is when the breathing resistance is noticeable, or if you are smelling anything inside the mask. Hope that helps.
Yes the NBC-77 SOF protects against all the threats the P-CAN does and so much more. The P-CAN line of filters is designed for riot environments where crowd control agents are deployed such as CS, CN, and OC irritants. So the use of the P-CAN is specific to this type of scenario. The NBC-77 protects against these agents easily, but also protects a user against more lethal contaminants such as CBRN agents including VX, Mustard, SARIN and radiological airborne threats.
It works on some CBRN threats but is not intended for the full spectrum. If you're looking for a more comprehensive CBRN filter, I would suggest the NBC-77 SOF.

Training filter please...
Would be really cool if you did a cutaway for each filter.
Awesome video! The best on filter types I’ve seen so far. Super helpful
You had me at “VK530” 💕
Can you explain, "reusable" and how long each filter will last before it needs to be changed.

It would be nice to see a test with the Mira communication system. There is no video
On the list Rg!
Very informative, thanks.
You got it!
What's the difference between VK530 and VK-700?
On the website they look very similar.
Biggest improvements with the VK700 is the extended shelf life (10 years > 5 years) and lighter weight and durability with the plastic housing.
When will you guys make a training filter :)
I picked up a small cheap filter at a local surplus store to use as a training filter
Hopefully not a gp5
Very good question.
@Nikkihoffmann314 I buy cheap filters from surplus stores to use as training filters
Just buy a old nato filter

Hi which one is the best for underground mine gasses?
That depends on what type of gases you are speaking of, and the saturation percentage of the gas and the oxygen level of the environment.
Does the VK 530 help with cbrn stuff too?
Yes it does
It works on some CBRN threats but is not intended for the full spectrum. If you're looking for a more comprehensive CBRN filter, I would suggest the NBC-77 SOF.
@@MIRASafetydoes the NBC 77 help with smoke such as wildfires or woth carbon monoxide

Shelf life?
I believe I read 20 years, but take that with a grain of salt and look it up just to be sure.
it depends on the filter, for the VK530 I think it is only 5 years, the others I believe it is 20 years.
