Ruroc could drop the price of their lids by a hundred bucks or more, by packaging it in a plain box. I don't know anyone who gets excited by, nor keeps, the shipping box (just ignore Chase's giggles).

As an old school rider (been scootin' Harley's for 45 years now), who has worn no helmet long before state laws, to wearing a half helmet to satisfy the law, to wearing a Ruroc 3.0 Carbon, and a 4.0 Ghost. Both of which are rigged for cameras, mic's, and SENA's. I don't know the levels of wind noise, or where it gets "bad" or not. I can tell you, that going from a half helmet, to a full face while riding a short pipe Harley, is noise and wind free! Many of you do not realize, that head shape dominates the fit and feel of a helmet. If your head does not best fit the liner or shell shape, you will get wind noise, hot spots, and a loose fit no matter how cinched the chin strap is. Those of us who love our Ruroc's, have helmets that fit our beans. Those who hate it...don't. Before you start, this applies to ALL helmets, regardless who makes them. This is why you tried on different brands, before deciding on the "best helmet ever" for you. This is also why there are dozens of makers of helmets. Go to any helmet review...or any gear review for that matter... and you will find detractors hating it, or telling how shitty it was while it fell apart in their hands, along with the highest of praise. So, to each his own. Obviously, Ruroc helmets fit Chase's head just fine, as they do my big nut. YMMV!

I have the Ruroc Atlas 4.0 Liquid Carbon. It’s not worth the price. I’d imagine the track version is just the same. Honest opinion, wait a few more iterations before you buy any Ruroc motorcycle helmet. Pros: • Looks cool 🤷🏻♂️ • Comfortable when the helmet is on Cons: • The wind noise is CRAZY loud even at low speeds (AND I WEAR EARPLUGS) • It has horrible aerodynamics, there’s way too much wind buffeting for a helmet at this price • Even with ALL the vents closed, the wind gets through and goes directly into your eyes • It’s an absolute bitch to take off, well after its break in period • By far the worst helmet for highway speeds If you have the money for an Atlas 4.0, save up an extra 100-200 bucks and get yourself a Shoei rf1400, HJC RPHA 11 Pro, or an AGV K6
Wholly agree. I have the blue one and even at the $300 I managed to snag it for, it was noticeably worse than my icon Airflite. No internal sun visor, fit is not very snug, bad wind noise, the visor is a HUGE pain in the ass to close all the way, and I cannot feel the difference between the vents open and the vents closed. Ill one up it as well and say that securing the visor to the helmet with twisty bits is a horrible design. DONT BUY THESE
Very true I have the same and yes it’s not worth the money at all don’t get me started on the Harmon/kardon comms unit it’s almost useless and you add the wind noise it’s basically a whisper in your ear
Arguably, on track you don't care that much about wind noise and so on. You would want as much airflow and adjustability as you can get. Because depending on changing conditions you'll likely sweat your ass out. And opening vents gets you more air, but also more noise.

It would be amazeballs if they made the track spoiler & closed side vents standard on everything moving forward starting with the 5.0 that way for those of us never going to the track we can still get our fidlock.

Even with race safety certification, the long term fit and finish of this helmet remains questionable. Hey guys. I loved your video. I have a question about your vlog setup. Seems that you are using a 360 cam on the handlebars but we can still hear you. Normally guys have a GoPro on the helmet with a mic inside. How did you manage to make this possible ? What mic are you using ? I’m about to start my channel and I wanted to know. Not able to buy too many tools at first I need to be clever ;)
I honestly think this channel should stick to first ride i pressions. Not o ly this is so clearly a sponsored fanboy video, but sometimes feels like he saw a helmet for the first time ever. Everyone knows dlock is the safest standard there is, hence here in eu it is mandatory for track. Plus, cmon, if you call yourself a reviewer, then at least get your knowledge on certs a polish. I used to love this channel.
Oh shut up have you got one ? Have you experienced wearing one ? No you clearly haven't. I tell you what though. All these negative comments made me think you're in the pay role from shuie . I got mine today and hands down it's the best helmet Ive used period. Not getting paid to say it I'm just me and I'm going off experience. Too many people waffling on now a out being paid when they haven't put their hand in their pockets and tried it them selves . Stop being sheep sad little Muppets
I like your channel but I see these helmets shell rip apart. I know they are a sponsor but at some point you gotta draw the line. I’m sure the helmets tested for ratings was QA checked but doesn’t mean the rest are.
I just don't understand why people are seemingly going on about Ruroc. This is only the 4th helmet design and I would like to know how the hell they passed ECE testing on that 3.0 helmet. Definitely not with the pads they used on the retail side. So, 4 helmets and 1 decent and more than one not decent, and they are throwing their product in with manufacturers like Arai and Shoei . Arai has been making helmets for nearly 100 years. All of that history and building on the technology for years to get where they are. Shoei has been making helmets for over 60 years and have done what Arai has done. Innovations that were developed by these companies that we take for granted today. So not just no, but HELL NO! Give Ruroc a decade or two and we'll see how they are then.
i use to own atlas 3.0 joker edition. from my opinion, its not worth at all. before that, i wear shark R race pro GP. so huge difference between those two. for track usage, i would recommend shark or scorpion. works way much better
its funny how you see rurocs reputition go down slowly and only influencers and youtubers praising them most of the time .. i bought one back in the day .. i guess it was the 3.0. Everyone loved them everywhere you looked. As i received mine, first i was so happy but after actually riding with it after like a week, it was just worse than my 100€ noname helmet in most aspects. After the Ruroc i got the rpha 11.. and let me tell you .. this helmet is SICK.. its pretty quiet and compared to ruroc its VERY VERY QUIET. It fits better, airflow is less but more focused as i can say so. In the Ruroc theres no airflow if you have the visor down its just like if its up. and its like only 100grams or so lighter than my non carbon rpha11 .. tldr : ruroc look different, i would say cool but thats it. If you want actual performance and good quality build helmet .. go for hjc/shoei even scorpion and agv
Ls2 track helmet is a better purchase. It cost half the price of a pista and has lot of track items you see in the pista package. Only retails around $700. It extremely loud.
Could you compare this to something similarly classed? Like the HJC Rpha 11 (or Rpha 1) Carbon, Caberg Drift EVO carbon, Bell Race Star DLX Flex, Xlite x803 rs carbon or Shoei x-spirit 3 or something like that
I sent mine back because of poor build quality and went with the Shoei x-spirit 3, no comparison plus I got the Shoei for £360 with the newer lids coming out

You’re better off putting the box on your head. Ruroc helmets loosely termed “quality” is dangerous and will over instill confidence in a generic product. I enjoy your videos but I straight up tune you out when you shill Ruroc.
I am not sponsored by anything. I have been blessed to have owned a ton of helmets, going all the way back to the Shoei RF 200 and 700. More recently, you name it... Arai 7xRv, Bilt Raptor Shadow, Shoei GT AIR II, Ruroc 2.0, 4.0 Invictus, and 4.0 Track. The 4.0 Track is far and away the best helmet I own specifically for the track. Fit, comfort, air flow, and what I hope is safety. ALL of us are hoping we never have to see how ANY helmet stands up in a wreck. It's trust. If Ruroc had waited to make the 4.0s as their original release, no one would have anything to say.
I will stick to Shoei's i have been using them for a couple of decades, they just fit my head correctly and have saved me more than once from idiot car drivers.
Can anybody speak on ventalation for this helmet?? I want to buy but i wont be doing more than 60mph or so, not sure if at lower speeds it will get super hot.... also will this helmet fog up?
Friends don't let Friends wear Ruroc. Worst helmets I ever bought in over 40 years of riding both dirt and street. Nothing like having the padding fall out, while you ride around looking like a caricature with a head 3 times the size it should be. Have you ever gone over 150mph with a helmet 3 times the size it should be? and I'm not talking about getting the wrong size, I'm talking about the fact that they have one shell size for all people. So if you're a small or medium helmet size, its ridiculous. I honestly don't know how these guys got internet popular, I guess if you give away more helmets than you can sell, it probably helps.
Chase is like the Vloggers we have here in the Philippines who reviews this brand called "EVO", which is an overhyped piece of plastic they call a helmet 😂
This is obviously a paid advertisement video. I only wear helmets from companies that are used in Motogp. It means they employ technology good enough for the one of toughest and most demanding motorsport. They have enough funding to funnel research and development to keep improving the technology. That technology is funnel down their production line. They have enough data retention to keep improving. They have some standard to be part of the elite helmet brands, without that standard in production and safety, Motogp would stop using them - "proof of concept".
Carbon fiber isn't the end all, be all material so that's kind of an ignorant statement. So shoei and arai can make a none carbon fiber helmet and still be worth more than this ruroc based on the safety technology and development.

@chaseontwowheels. Still waiting on the Smort Helmet review. The people have spoken
I wouldn’t trust Ruroc to make a pair of socks let alone a helmet.
How much did they pay you to make this video?? 😂😂
More than we made watching it lol
Oh shut up have you got one ? Have you experienced wearing one ? No you clearly haven't. I tell you what though. All these negative comments made me think you're in the pay role from shuie . I got mine today and hands down it's the best helmet Ive used period. Not getting paid to say it I'm just me and I'm going off experience. Too many people waffling on now a out being paid when they haven't put their hand in their pockets and tried it them selves . Stop being sheep sad little Muppets
Just cuz u cant afford one u troll
@@Fish-bj1sj 😂😂😂😂my helmet is more expensive than that Chinese junk 😂😂😂 nice try bud
@@MrWolf2212 sure your mountain bike helmet
I like your channel but I see these helmets shell rip apart. I know they are a sponsor but at some point you gotta draw the line. I’m sure the helmets tested for ratings was QA checked but doesn’t mean the rest are.
Miata in the background 😍😍😍
The RHEON segment was definitely my favorite😂
Same. I can't confirm if I may be putting something like that in videos in the future. I laughed way too hard putting it in.
@@chaseontwowheels caught me off guard. Legitimately laughed out loud
would you recommend this for street use?
How is the sizing I followed their guide on a 2.0 and it was just ever so slightly too big. How does the 4.0 track compare??
i use to own atlas 3.0 joker edition. from my opinion, its not worth at all. before that, i wear shark R race pro GP. so huge difference between those two. for track usage, i would recommend shark or scorpion. works way much better
Motorcycle shops will steer you far from these death traps
Hello, cool video. I have a question for you. How much does this helmet really weigh in kilograms?❤
Only Jerrys wear Ruroc on the mountains... Idk what the equivalent term is for riding 😅
LOL that helmet is not for Track....
Being a track helmet can you still use it on the street legally?
its funny how you see rurocs reputition go down slowly and only influencers and youtubers praising them most of the time .. i bought one back in the day .. i guess it was the 3.0.
It extremely loud.
is it loud when riding on the street?
Just tryna figure out what size I would be, I had a shoei x14 and I was a medium, I wonder if I’d fit into a small to have it nice and tight
U didn't think that some track teams use blu tooth to give the rider feed back , lap time and ect.
Could you compare this to something similarly classed?
Like the HJC Rpha 11 (or Rpha 1) Carbon, Caberg Drift EVO carbon, Bell Race Star DLX Flex, Xlite x803 rs carbon or Shoei x-spirit 3 or something like that
I sent mine back because of poor build quality and went with the Shoei x-spirit 3, no comparison plus I got the Shoei for £360 with the newer lids coming out
Sadly probably not because they sponsor him
Ruroc rolling updates faster than Android.
No thank you. Im good with my Shark, HJC and Shoei.
You could not pay me to buy a ruroc.
Why?
@@jdhxbdu they are widely known to be unsafe and crap quality. Their ceo was on record saying they didnt believe in paying to test their helmets safety because their buyers could simply do that for them.
Here we go. CHASE AND HIS BS.
I will stick to my SHOEI
"This thing feels incredibly light, I have never seen anybody turning in so slow. Oh my. goodness." 🤣 Probably u got the clear visor so he/she wanna see your face. Lol
Ruroc is not it bro. Sometimes money isn't everything. 550 for a helmet that after u wear it 3 times the rubber starts coming off
It's not regardless "if" the D ring is safer, it definetely is and has been for what 50yrs+... How many Moto GP, WSBK or Isle of Man TT riders are in a Ruroc?? I'll possibly take a second look when and if that is the case!!!
Oh boy..
problem is sponsored Ruroc content creator rave about it...while non sponsored by Ruroc those creator say it's crap (for the price) there's even shops won't recommend them perhaps that's why Ruroc distribute them exclusively themselves the only one good thing about Ruroc people say it that they have the greatest media campaign team
tested on paying clients, chase don't do track days with this helmets and that's a fact
Chase is the most biased Ruroc reviewer ever😂😂😂
It seems so fake it is funny
You’re better off putting the box on your head. Ruroc helmets loosely termed “quality” is dangerous and will over instill confidence in a generic product. I enjoy your videos but I straight up tune you out when you shill Ruroc.
Why does it have 2 Eu safety ratings when most places in America require Snell?
Probably because it is a Euro brand helmet and their market is way bigger than North America's. Also, The ECE safety ratings are better than Snell.
Why does ruroc have Bluetooth setup in the back? Never understood that
Shoei does also to be fair (see GT AIR 2 and similar helmets).
Yea I agree man. I really appreciate your input in this!
@chaseontwowheels my pleasure. Keep up the great vids.
I will stick to Shoei's i have been using them for a couple of decades, they just fit my head correctly and have saved me more than once from idiot car drivers.
How much Price in italy?
Can anybody speak on ventalation for this helmet?? I want to buy but i wont be doing more than 60mph or so, not sure if at lower speeds it will get super hot.... also will this helmet fog up?
It comes with a pin lock so fogging isn’t an issue.
Nice lid!!!!
No FIM cert makes it a pass for me, will stick with the Pista GP RR
The “nose bump” on these has put me off for years. Cool innovative company though
Make sure to let us know what track and when.
I try the code it’s not working man
Chase is like the Vloggers we have here in the Philippines who reviews this brand called "EVO", which is an overhyped piece of plastic they call a helmet 😂
They have some standard to be part of the elite helmet brands, without that standard in production and safety, Motogp would stop using them - "proof of concept".
where the cf moto 450ss at man?
Recording a video on it today!
@@chaseontwowheels ayyy nice, can't wait to watch it
@7:18 This is the second time I've noticed it sitting there... Does that Answer belong to one of y'all?
The miata?
@@ridesmort Yeah, yeah, the answer :)
Soon as you hang all the motovlogging gear on there, the aerodynamics are out the window again. No gain.
Ruroc came a long way but the helmets still look big and bulky
Hows the size fitting for you? Is it any different than the regular Atlas 4.0?
So far the M/L is fitting exactly the same!
Love ruroc designs but the price and wind noise is horrible
That's price is not too bad for what you get..I've see helmets the are north of 1000 buck and not even carbon fiber
Carbon fiber isn't the end all, be all material so that's kind of an ignorant statement. So shoei and arai can make a none carbon fiber helmet and still be worth more than this ruroc based on the safety technology and development.
@@SupaDadMoto never said it was...
@@gabrielkopp2036Then what is the point of you mentioning it? Scorpion, HJC, Sedici just to name a few have carbon helmets that cost less than these pieces of shit and they're better.
I'll stick to Arai.
i have a ruroc track and i have no issue with wind noise
Coupon code dont work
What about compare to Shoei X15?
GET THE SHOEI
You can’t compare this trash with anything SHOEI ESPECIALLY THE HELMETS, Ruroc is not even decent enough when you buy a new Chinese scooter or motorcycle and they gift you a new helmet for free , it ain’t even worth that, straight up!!✌🏼👨🏼🦲🛵🏍🎱💣💯💯💩💩💩🤣🤣🤣
