Also love the signing of the equipment. At my gym you got to sign the beam if you got on a collegiate team! We had filled up like 4 beams. Sadly our gym burned down last year and we lost everything, so time to start anew.

I think it's kinda messed up alternates don't get to stay in the village. You're still part of the team. But there are worse things to complain about the Olympics than that I suppose. Glad you had a good time though!
I wonder if their beds in the hotel in Paris were more comfortable than the fishing net ones in the Olympic Village. The alternates might have had the better deal in that regard! But the Olympic Village sounds like a fun experience. And of course the dream of competing on the Olympic team is amazing! You’ll get it next time Khoi 😊

I'm glad you made the most of your experience in Paris. Curious, what led you to work on a new skill while there? At that point was the possibility of being put in to compete done? I would have been afraid of hurting my back and then being needed, but I also don't know how training works. I had wondered when y'all have time to train new things while at the same time perfecting the routines you are currently competing. Your progress on that was amazing! That first try with the more hollowed out back was beautiful over the bar.
