Hellblade - The Furies, The Narrator and Senua Monologues & Cutscenes (NO SUBTITLES/MINIMAL SFX)

- This game has amazing sound quality so I created a compilation of all the in-game Dialogue and cutscenes, organized by individual characters.
There is NO SUBTITLES and NO SFX (where applicable as some cutscenes have the SFX layered on top of the voiceovers).
All footage here is FREE USE. If ya'll want a downloadable file I could look into doing that maybe just leave a comment. As always thanks for watching!

46:28. First time in a while a game really caught me emotionally offguard, being so relatable. The death of me was never physical, but spritual, mental, emotional. Still trying to recover.

Thank you for this extraction of voice acting. This game is Art, so glad i had opportunity to play it.
It’s so weird hearing the male voices mixed in with the female ones. I’m guessing that because Senua’s a woman, the male voices are much less prominent. I also noticed they’re almost always negative, aggressive, or panicking. So you would expect them to be more prominent in battle, right? But they’re not. The female voices are, probably because Hellblade’s combat doesn’t emphasize brute force, but positioning and timing. And the female voices are mostly present when there’s puzzles to be solved or making observations about Senua and the environment.
The best example I can think of is Surtr’s area. The male voices comment a lot more than Valravn’s area, telling her to follow the screams. And when the area is lit on fire and Senua has to escape, the male voices are screaming about the fire and telling her to run. It’s primal fear, and the female voices are telling her to run, they need to go NOW.
TL;DR I noticed the male voices in her head are more driven by primal instinct and fear, while the female voices are observant and strategic.

I will never understand why video games and certain tv shows and movies that make use of great VA and Sound Design and music dont share there work more openly. All that work and it'll never be fully appreciated and enjoyed by those that take notice and enjoy such work.

Its almost impossible to describe the impact. I begin to understand what someone I know must be experience. I'm forced to think of all the traumatized people, those with internal torment...all these ages and the living daily torment that must take strength beyond reckoning to deal with. Its become difficult for me to explain to others except its a teaching tool. A source of reality that most choose never to consider save in unfair media and film.

What if and a big what if she was accidentally killing other gelts. And in those moments where she kills surt and valraven those gelts like hella's hallucination was the strongest. I know the game goes with the line of no stimuli needed but like what if there was a person in the vicinity that was triggering it and she met up with said trigger at each boss battle .... talk about conspiracy theory.... but that would be cool and very tragic at the same time

@@WizdaVision Tbh this game is something special cause its not just a game, it gives real content about psychologic problems and the way they worked with sounds have a different impact. The atmosphere and the whole topic was very catching and in this case , taking out the voiceline is something great. I found the video again, cause of my video history^^. As long you dont delete it, do what you want^^. i already saved it in a playlist.
