Wow thats a hard battle, while the A80's sound closer to source, the T5V hold up pretty well, with slight differences and weaknesses to the A80's, which sound not as sharp and more consistent in the mid and high department, but also a little tighter, while the T5V's seem to have a slightly better stage. Tbh...i cant really decide for a winner as they both are good sounding and are in two entirely different leagues. If i have to, the winner would probably be the A80's, but given a run for their money by the T5V's.
Several things here: 1. To me - on my system - they sound very much alike (for the most part), which then begs the question that if they are so similar, why not pick the less expensive one over the more expensive version? 2. It is often difficult (if not realistic) to evaluate speaker comparisons like this with the myriad of speakers being used by folks chiming in to this particular comparison. If your speakers sound bright to begin with, you'd tend to remark, "well, they tend to sound too bright for me - or likewise, if the speakers you are using are rather dull, you'd be inclined to criticize the speakers being compared as having no dynamics or being too dull. Some may be listening with just their built-in computer speakers and then will try to render a judgement (really?). Others may have small entry level speakers while some will have audiophile level models. For example, I am currently listening to these comparisons using the Edifier R1850DB with Edifier T5 sub-woofer, so I can only comment what I hear through these.
@@nemoegg Just curious - with all of these numbered designations for different products, what is the "A80?" Is it a DAC of some type? The 1850 and T5 combination are certainly nice - but for some odd reason, the A80 is something that I'm not familiar with.
After looking for new computer speakers for 10 years, I finally decided on the A80 and a PreSonus Eris Sub 8. I hope I'm not disappointed :) (they should arrive this week)

Struggling to find much of a difference between the two! Price might be the only deal breaker so far...I think the Adams might just have it via a seemingly bigger sound...
Hi, You have introduced Freq. Response curve for sometimes now, some of the resp. curves look similar from both speakers, there are other variables that determine the sound character that identifies each speaker, one important one is Directivity. It is quite easy to perform and doesn't take a lot of your time and the curves can be displayed at the end of each review. And let the viewers decide.

@@back_to_life0 нэ. АЧХ замеряют не муз треком а определённым сигналов и чем он ровней тем качественней акустика. Все эти провалы и всплески на определённо значение db означает лишь то что на этих частотах будет потеряны детали, или что бы их услышать нужно поднимать громкость компенсируя провал по db. Абсолютно не важно какой цап подключён к колонкам если ты их подключаешь по цифровому сигналу, сами колонки имеют внутри свой цап котором и обрабатывают сигнал. В случае с эдифаером нет смысла подавать им аналог с потерями, который будет потом конвертироваться внутренним цапом в цифру перед выдачей звука, нужно просто подать им максимально чистый сигнал по оптике и всё
@@back_to_life0 хз, но смысл в том же что бы подать как можно чище сигнал, с аналогом чем лучше звуковой чип тем качественней. Кажется на АЧХ он не влияет, это чтото вроде физической способности динамиков
male voice of Edifier is not good, If you have 300+$ money to spend buy something else like klips, KEF,svs etc etc european speakers. Edifier has plasticky sounding voice

I can't see that much difference. But the size certainly makes the sound more spatial
Why you don't comparison Adam A7x? It's a great speakers for thier price. And better than Adam T series.
They are, but they're also much more expensive. A7X is in a whole other price category with other professional studio monitors.
