    I have just grabbed the tannoys and I must say that the videos don't do them enough justice. I used these videos to help choose which monitors I would consider. Once I heard them in real life it was like WOAH. If something sounds veiled on the Tannoys it's because the sound itself is veiled. The Tannoys have lots of high end, a very well rounded and pronounced mid range, and when placed properly a bunch of good clean bass. If a song is made correctly it sounds amazing. I use mine approximately 50 inches from each ear sitting appx 2 inches below ear height when seated in an untreated room that has furniture in it. I don't hear any weird reflections. They do get quite loud but they aren't meant for super loud listening. They sound great even when being overdriven but it's not something I like doing to a speaker. When I put them on stands I lost some of the bass that was resonating from my desk. It's there but it seems to get trapped behind the speakers mostly. That is something I'll have to work on. Don't hesitate to grab Tannoy Gold 5s for near field monitoring. These translate very well in my opinion.

      @@conraddevera4786 when I had them on my desk (solid oak ) it was beautiful. I have them on stands now and it got lost a bit, but it's probably my room setup. I can hear the bass outside of the room. If you grab these and the bass is lacking try different positionings. 👍

    Came back to this video after buying T7V's and I feel that the Tannoys have a muffled highend compared to the Adam's. That said the sound of the T7V's is fantastic. Especially coming from KRK 5's. But they could really use a subwoofer for that DEEP trap 808 bass. Bass is still great though.

    I would prefer the Adam’s as a party speaker rather than a studio monitor. There’s more midrange detail in the Tannoy. Comes across in the vocal tracks.

  • @wolfwilkopter2231
    @wolfwilkopter2231 4 года назад +11

    That is a clear win for the Adam T5V.
    They have more Punch in the Bass Department that also seems to be more stiff and kicking, while the Tannoy sound slightly wobbely there.
    And from the low mids and especially the highs, they are just more clean and thorough, more detailed, brighter with less and less harsh drops from 5khz and especially at over 10khz.
    Sometimes they come over alittle to sharp, but that is still better than the sometimes a little hollow or muffled sounding Tannoy's.
    Only the bigger drop at around 500Hz is a loss for the Adam's, as this can be clearly heard when male Voices are to be heard, as they come more forward on the Tannoy's.

    탄노이는 그 가격대 스피커 답게 중음역대가 좀 떡져서 분리도가 떨어지고, 고음의 양감은 적당하지만 스테레오 필드가 아담보단 좁고 베이스기타 소리 들어보면 낮은 60Hz 대역이 조금 강세를 띔. 좀 더 낮은 가격대에서 정말 좋은 모습을 보여주는 JBL의 305P MKII 보단 나아보일 수 있으나 실은 전체적인 성능은 딱 이 가격대 스피커.
    아담은 고역이 너무 강세를 띄지만 그만큼 스테레오 필드는 넓고 저음의 양감은 딱 적당하지만 중음 표현력은 좀 떨어지는 편. 하지만 그에 비하면 악기 하나하나 마다의 음역대 분리도가 가격대비 정말 뛰어남. 정말 이거 하나만으로도 가격대 이상의 값어치가 있음.

    Tannoys bass is loose and undefined. Kickbass is also too slow. The Adams can actually produce clearly different bassnotes instead of one hollow and slowbass-hump. The Adams tweeter is just too much, but I'm not a fan of ribbons. Combine the strengths of both and you have a winner.
