A soldier is dying over seas because of a corrupt government who wants to capitalize on oil and not freedom. Our freedoms are being taken away right here at home by politicians who care nothing about the constitution. Nothing against you personally Justin.
I agree. The best way to take care of our soldiers is to bring them home, not send them off on fruitless wars, and make funding the VA a top priority.

As a second generation paratrooper whose son is a third generation jumper, who had one grandfather go down with his B-17 over Germany & another who was on the carrier USS Lexington during the Battle of the Coral Sea but made it home I appreciate this quite a Lot! Thank you!!

This video makes my day everyday I watch it. I've seen it posted numerous times on Facebook as well as others telling me about it. I'm currently serving in Afghanistan in the US Army. I've also shown my buddies that I'm here with and encourage anyone and everyone to take just a few minutes out of their day to watch this and/or show someone this video. I’m proud of my nation for protecting us and serving sacrifices made to make the world better friendships made to make peace I appreciate the hard work for the soldiers and specially in WW2 they are one of the heroes that destroyed world war 2 I salute you and honor you with bravery honor protecting the innocent and specially service for the army your doing a great job helping America be more greater god bless you and may he protect you
My grandfather served in the navy. He passed away in 2013. He loved this country so much that he flew an american flag in his yard everyday. I miss him so much

I absolutely love this video!! My dad is an army veteran. And 2 months ago my little brother came home for good after serving 6 years in the army. He traveled all over the world!! I'm proud of the courage and strength and sacrifice that these men and women have today! I'm so thankful for what they do and I pray every day for a safe return back home to their families!!! ❤️

Justin, just saw a video in response to those who call you a demon. First, I want to say how sorry I am that you have to encounter that! My understanding is limited, but it seems to me magic would be drugs (Pharm) or acts that derive from dark supernatural forces. Yours is not involved with either. Just keep forgiving, and keep your heart of love, and God will take care of the rest. I'm more concerned with the people who sling foul language and false accusations at you, they have performed the worst kind of magic, self deception. God speed and God bless!

Justin, great job! I am a 73 year old grandmother and I first heard this story in the 1950s. If my memory serves me, It was recorded by Tex Ritter and was played on the radio. I loved it. What a wonderful surprise to see it revived in such a touching and memorable way. Thank you very much.

I have heard this story since I was a little girl listening to Tex Ritter. He could not have said it any better and I am glad that it is still going to live on through a younger generation....It still brings tears to my eyes....God Bless You....

About a year and a half ago, the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2012, I led the children's sermon at my church, and I used this story. I did this because I thought soldiers at war is something that we should be thankful for. I also created something for all the other cards that aren't in the story. I then got a lot of compliments after church during coffee hour.
I happened to be scrolling through my old favorite videos, and came across this. I remember when I first saw this video, around three years ago. I loved it. I aspired to serve, to become one of the Few and the Proud. Seeing the Iwo Jima Memorial in this video was awe inspiring.
Well now, three years later, I am a United States Marine. In fact, I'm typing this from my MOS school in 29 Palms, I'm currently waiting to pick up class to learn to be an 0621 Field Radio Operator. This video is still awe inspiring. Semper Fidelis.

As Justin says "I cant take credit for this trick" thus cant be ripped off. Get your facts straight.
The only thing that differed the BGT trick from Justin's was the amount of funding that the guy from BGT had to bring the soldier on, but what annoyed me most is that Justin put 'his own spin on it' with the picture from the cards, then the guy from BGT said virtually the same thing with a different picture.
I am a devout Atheist but this is a very cool video. I heard this as a audio recording by Wink Martndale many years ago.

Mark Surks just because the Christians youve met in this world have commited such hidious crimes doesnt mean that the whole religion is phoney or a ficade to some it is life to some it is a way to keep breathing those you have met are not true christians a christian is forgiving and does not judge you for ur appearence gender opinions ect. I am a chistian and though I dont follow the bible word for word and believe me I dont I still believe you do not have to believe you are allowed to have your opinions and in my opening my god will for give you for not believing in him because the new testimen says he is a forgiving god just because these people you have met have been horrible humans and were wrecked by the poisons of the real world doesnt mean everyone is . U dont have to be perfect to be christian but you do have to be human we make mistake know right from wrong and try are best to succeed just like everyone else and yes there is proof theyve found the " dead sea scrolls " which hold passages of the bible they have found other artifacts mentioned in the bible maybe god is just a way to give us faith and well all go into an eternal dream after death but I believe in god in heaven angels and I believe not all christians, muslums athiests jews and more are extremests so sayong the world is full of phony christians is try but it is also true that the real christians are just as pronounce or even more we just dont picket gay marriages hate against athiests or have hate rallys against other religions

To my brothers and sister's in Christ. It's not right to tell people their going to he'll because they don't believe in God or their wrong. Jesus doesn't call us to treat people like that he calls us to love, serve and pray for them. Also how treble of some of you to say "Jesus shouldn't have died on the cross for people like you" FYI your just as messed up as any other sinner we just expected Christ as our saver.. Jesus died on the cross for all people including atheist. Those who chose to believe are going to heaven. Those who chose not to go to hell. We are not better people then any others sinners we are still people we just have a heavenly father to run to when people put us down. That's the only difference.
And to the atheist. I just want to say no teacher, church or family member forced me to believe in God. I chose on my own with help from God. Yes he proved to me he's real. That's enough for me to believe. He will prove to you he's real if you ask him. Have a blessed day.

My Dad was in WWII and he taught all of us this story and I have tried to live by it ever since.

I haven't seen this in so many years and am over whelmed seeing it again. The ending picture of the re-enactment of the raising of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'a Flag raises my heart with hope/love & perseverance of our GREAT COUNTRY and all the men and women who have fought, died and been injured to keep us the LAND OF THE FREE. My father was there when the American Flag was raised and and brought tears to his eyes, as it does to this day for me.

Its a wonderful way of showing thanks and patriotism and belief in the lord..We live in a world of kaos and on any given day we watch the news and look out the front door and see horrific things...So its nice to see something so simple..so refreshing and yet comforting like this. Are we judging his biblical knowledge no we are not nor his knowledge in military units..This is his way of giving thanks and i applaud him
great video, I have heard this story before, its been a while though. My father in law used to tell it to me. But the story never really hit me hard till now, He passed away September 2012. He was a soldier in his day, He was a great man. One of the best I had or will ever have know. And I will remember him forever. Thanks for the great video, that brought back a happy memory I had with him.

A tale for the ages my heart skips when the Marines Raising the flag on mount Suribachi appear. For love of God, country, freedom, and the honor of the brave who have fought for our flag may we have that soldier from 1778's faith and use it to renew our countries principles. Thank you for sharing this I don't think anyone could have told it better.
