This was filmed in Minnesota. The winter carnival often includes an ice castle that is beautiful.
Will be there in a week to see them in Mankato, MN. Will be visiting this.
@@dianadickerson749 We just got our first snow to stay on the ground. The winter Carnival is Jan into Feb. The ice castle will be opened in Jan near Fridley MN. If I were going to do something else and you are in Minneapolis, I'd visit the Stone Arch Bridge and the Mill City Museum. Mall of America is good for about 25 minutes unless you are just shopping.
@@DyvmSlorm - This year’s ice castle will be New Brighton, but they are just starting it so it won’t be ready until January sometime. The Stone Arch Bridge is cool and Home Free filmed at least two or three videos there, including Any away the Wind Blows and Seven Bridges Road, plus one more I think.

The first singer is TIM FOUST, THE BASS, WHO ACTUALLY HAS A 5 OCTAVE RANGE. THIS IS BEFORE HE CUT HIS HAIR AND STOPPED COLORING IT DURING QUARANTINE! THEY ARE ALSO PHENOMENOL!!! CHRIS RUPP, ADAM RUPP'S BROTHER HAD NOT LEFT YET. HE WENT SOLO 5 YEARS AGO AND WAS REPLACED BY ADAM CHANCE. IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD "BROTHERS IN ARMS", THEN YOU SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY! TIM IS SO LOW THEY ARE STILL FEELING THE AFTER SHOCKS IN CHINA! ALSO, THEY JUST CAME OUT WITH A NEW, FANTASTIC, ALMOST R & B VERSION OF "MARY, DID YOU KNOW"! IT IS MY FAVORITE RENDITION OF MY FAVORITE CHRISTIAN SONG NOW! I LOVED YOUR REACTION.
I saw them on Friday. When they did this song, I was wondering if the chandeliers were rattling, since my body was with the bass and percussion! They sound awesome live!
I get to see them TODAY! It's 1:15 am. The concert starts at 8pm but my hubby and I have VIP tickets so we have to be there at 5:40 pm for meet and greet! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
OMG - I saw their premiere in Evansville, IN (Tim called it their "dress rehearsal" lol) Same thing happened there - I thought the foundation would fail. Great show!

I just drove from Florida to North Carolina to see them in concert on the 5th, Sunday night. They did this song and I just about fell out my chair. It was this good live and Tim.just about shook us out of our seats. They certainly are the real deal. I'm a hard core Hime Fey and knew theyd be good live, no idea they'd be even better live than all the videos you see. They give off an electricity that is so incredible.

Home Free is my FAVORITE a capella group. I used to sing bass in barbershop quartet back in high school, but Tim takes it to a completely different level- underneath the basement by about 12 floors...this arrangement has convinced me that they can do no wrong when upgrading a song! That subsonic low he hit made me fear for his safety, that ice palace might have avalanched on them!!! 😂🤣

Yup! I never really liked this song. UNTIL I saw the Home Free version. This is absolutely the best arrangement of any Christmas song ever. I have to watch it every day. That giant cymbal crash at the beginning always makes me smile. And there may be chair dancing involved. And I agree that they should just redo eveyrthing, ever. Can't wait.

There at an Ice Castle in Minnesota. Group started in Mankato, MN. Started by the Rupp brothers Adam and Chris, Chris who's no longer in the group. Adam did the arrangement for this song.
'There's no instruments!' Just Adam doing his thing, Austin beatboxing and Rob, Chris and Tim putting the trimmings on the harmonies.
Austin doesn't beatbox that is Adam Rupp's job, Austin Brown is a 1st Tenor who sings notes that fly to heaven..
@@mariacampos8234 Austin does add some sounds in this song toward the end, Chris was discussing this song and mentioned that Austin thought something was needed in that particular place. I think he was correct, sounds unbelievable.
One of the things I really like about Home Free is that they never joke around with hymns or American anthems. I'm Canadian so the American anthems are to me just pretty songs with no deeper connection; however, I don't believe hymns or any country's anthem should be subject to disrespect. Their arrangements of both are outstanding. I wish they'd do a recording of a former Canadian anthem "The Maple Leaf Forever".
They were Eden Prairie, MN. This is a "wandering" ice castle that goes to a different town in Minnesota every year.
I go back and watch Home Free videos and reaction videos over and over. I love your suggestion that they just take every song and cover it. Loved your reaction. Home Free has such a unique and original sound that’s just different from other acapella groups. They’re all great but, Home Free just has something special I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s always shock & awe.

Yes, it is wonderful, first time I heard it I about fell out of my chair when Austin started his part.
But D, don't forget, they do have instruments! They have the Adam instrument, Tim was playing bass guitar and Austin, when he had his mouth covered he was playing guitar also. They are awesome, every time!! IMO, they make every song better. Loved your reaction, thank you!!

I was laughing out loud when you said I have a suggestion, why don’t they just cover every song and I’ll love it. Yep, that’s how I feel too. I love their renditions more than the originals. This is amazing and Adam’s beatboxing is insane. Yeah when Tim goes low I don’t know how the ice didn’t fall down on him. He probably could cause an avalanche. Hahaha. this is my favorite Christmas song by them.just got back 15 minutes ago from seeing them in branson and they did this song. it's as amazing live as it is in the video and i can guarantee ALL ACAPELLA. i recorded it and it sounds perfect!😍

I just saw them live in Mobile,Al on Dec 4th for the first time! They are even more incredible in person! It's surreal! I've seen many many concerts in my 63 years of all different genres and Home Free is absolutely the best one ever! They performed this live at the Mobile,Al concert as well and it is Phenomenal! But of course! It's Home Free and they NEVER disappoint or fail! Thank you for a wonderful reaction!

You couldn't be more right about these guys, they are straight up great.....I also find songs that I never cared for before have become my favorite since Home Free done them.....it's just crazy how much talent these guys have and they're so humble and seem so approachable...I just absolutely love them!!!

I agree...they do make all their covers better than the original. BTW...they recorded that in Minnesota. They put up amazing ice castles there every year. They probably had to record it late at night when the crowds were gone. And it looks like there was a breeze...so two words..."wind chill."

Just discovered Home Free and this song. This is not my favorite song of Christmas....until now. I agree---Pentatonix, Home Free, and VoicePlay should just redo every song ever ....and play them on every single loudspeaker around the world. Maybe then it would finally stop screaming at each other.
