Well done a good war movie ! I say as a german who knows much about the Third Reich and the war. My father was 1943 on the way back from Caucasus, ...... his brother died down there(partisans). What an awful time. A good movie, recommended.
I only have one piece of criticism for this almost perfect trailer. If you could, i would make the gunfire louder since a real shot would be very loud. It sort of sounds like an airsoft gun, but other than that, i think its perfect and cant wait to see it

Just for info, during the making of the film we used the following ammuniton: Mauser K98: 7,62mm x 51 green and black rounds (black fire much louder) and for our MP40: PP 9mm type LUGER blank firing rounds which also give our fire from the muzzel. For security reasons actors had to be at least 2m to 3 meters apart otherwise.....Gabe Toledo's comment would have been correct, and I was not willing to make an insurance claim and loose my house in the bargain. IF however the recording was made with less sound, I can't help you there folks, not my responsibility. Yes our ears were singing and shouting commands were difficult to be heard over the 50m distances of the attack on the US troops not to mention the explosions (thank Marko of the 79th Memory Group US) President GTRH-40 (the German LSSAH fighing troops, for this film based in France)

Otherwise the K98 would be considered a Category 1 fire arm and would thus need a declaration fire arms certificate etc with all the heavy protective legislation totally impractical for re-enactment and I don't know anyone who sells 7.92 blank firing ammo cheap.

King Richard Fury was bullshit, but the 76mm gun on the Sherman Easy Eight was capable of penetrating a Tiger 1's frontal armor. Beyond that I agree the movie was Hollywood shit. My grandfather served in the US Army and was KIA in Northern Italy. I take no soldiers sacrifice lightly...friend or foe.

Damn hard crowd, personally very much enjoyed fury. However this movie looks a little meh, Generation War is a German made tv show about 4 Germans in WWII that is absolutely brilliant and definitely worth the watch

I really appreciate the effort and the idea of this movie and will watch it. However, I wish this would've had a higher budget and better actors. It feels so low budget. But as said, big respect for this! Great to have an actual movie ACTUALLY showing it from the "other" perspective for once.

If anyone was wondering, Leibstandarte was the name of an SS division, more specifically it was the 1st SS Panzer Division Leidstabdarte SS Adolf Hitler. As the name implies, it was Hitler’s personal division, tasked with guarding his residences, offices, and himself; so naturally it was made up of the most die-hard fanatics the SS could find, over 19,000 of them at its height. Later on it was refitted and sent to both the eastern and western fronts.

My grandfather was on a PT boat fighting the Japanese for the USA and his first cousin was in the waffen SS fighting the Russians. Many German Americans found there family's fighting for both sides.

As the film is entitled with words like "honor" and "loyalty" it is rally hard to believe that it doesn't have anything to do with propaganda. The German invasion of European countries in 1939-40 was by all means one of the most unhonourable and unloyal things that happened in our recent history.

I really appreciate the effort and the idea of this movie and will watch it.
However, I wish this would've had a higher budget and better actors. It feels so low budget. But as said, big respect for this! Great to have an actual movie ACTUALLY showing it from the "other" perspective for once.

As a German, I've to correct you. Glory to all the soldiers that fought in world war II. They all fought for their country, and they all had the opinion that they are fighting for a good thing. So, imho, there is no glory for a specific kind of soldier. You need to be brave, and you need to have honor to fight for your country and your dreams. And only this makes you an honorable soldier. The nationality doesn't matters.

As is said, the poorer the infantry the more artillery it needs and the SS needed all they could get.
If anyone was wondering, Leibstandarte was the name of an SS division, more specifically it was the 1st SS Panzer Division Leidstabdarte SS Adolf Hitler. As the name implies, it was Hitler’s personal division, tasked with guarding his residences, offices, and himself; so naturally it was made up of the most die-hard fanatics the SS could find, over 19,000 of them at its height. Later on it was refitted and sent to both the eastern and western fronts.
I am glad this movie is made. I know the SS corps did bad things but they won some pretty badass Victories and are very good fighters

My grandfather was on a PT boat fighting the Japanese for the USA and his first cousin was in the waffen SS fighting the Russians. Many German Americans found there family's fighting for both sides.
I'm going to have to find a copy of this film. It looks like it might be good. And it would be interesting to see a film from the perspective of Waffen SS troopers.

As the film is entitled with words like "honor" and "loyalty" it is rally hard to believe that it doesn't have anything to do with propaganda. The German invasion of European countries in 1939-40 was by all means one of the most unhonourable and unloyal things that happened in our recent history.

I think the title actually stems from the motto of the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totemkopf, "My honor is loyalty", rather than the application of those terms to the SS.
Warspite motto was used by all ss not just 3rd Div.
